SXSW can be an exhausting event with 10 to 13 hour days for 8 days straight. The 8 days flew by staying in this suite. Staying in a hotel just cannot meet travellors needs for this type of travel - this property on the other hand did meet our needs on every level. Excellent hosts. Very attentive. Available at all hours. Easy booking. Cute place as could be. Historic old home - very charming suite we stayed in. The hosts welcomed us with cold local beers in the fridge in our kitchen. The property was quiet. It was a slow easy 21 minutes walk to dead centre 6th street action and 26 minutes slow walk to the Convention Centre for SXSW. The capital is just a few blocks away. There were several great restaurants near by - really liked Phoebes - a 2 block walk away - and 24, another breakfast/lunch place 7 blocks away next to an amazing record store. Awesome food at these. Waltons was good too. There are two coffee shops with 5 minutes walk. I recommend the one near the capital on 12th street. Our hosts had a red book of useful information with every restaurant, area, neighbourhood, you need to know about. It was indispensable. I really liked all the nice old homes in the area, the trees, totally safe, etc. It was nice to escape the non stop party of SXSW vs being trapped in a hotel. Thanks again for a great time!

We enjoyed a memorable 3-day stay at this historic home a few blocks away from the State Capitol. Arrangements were seamless, and Ted, the host, was helpful and full of information. Lots of museums, shops and restaurants within a 10 to 20-min walk.

We loved our bungalow. 4 blocks from the capitol…easy walk to everything. Bungalow was clean, comfortable. We stayed 2 weeks and loved every minute of it. We plan to return.

Walkable to everything and in a very quiet neighborhood. Communication with the host was seamless. Note the steps up/down from kitchen and bathroom into the main space for those that might find this an issue. No thermostat but this was not a problem; we were always perfectly comfortable. There is a ceiling fan and window A/C unit. We would stay here again. Lovely!

We very much enjoyed our stay at your darling historical home. Sweetwater coffee shop was an added bonus right down the street. Would have loved a pillow topper for the bed as it was pretty firm. We had a great stay—thank you!

It is small but very cute and quaint. We appreciated and enjoyed the artistic decor of the suite. We felt that we were staying in a mini museum. Great communication and thoughtfulness from the hosts.
