We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I only wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the pond, fire pit and the sweet critters! I hope we can come back again and stay. We played hard, did the Toltec/Cumbres Train (a very long day driving there) a lazy day and then the Durango Silverton Train. Both were wonderful!

This two bedroom house served our purposes well. We found it as advertised. Four adults stayed in the house, and though there was not a lot of extra room, the porch and outdoor space were a bonus.

This lovely little house made a wonderful base for day trips to Mesa Verde, Ouray and Telluride. The house was clean and stocked with everything you need. The surroundings are stunning with lush vegetation and a small pond you can tool around in, in a paddle boat if you want.

We loved this house. The house was perfect for outdoor living. It was well equipped. The property was fabulous with a cool fire-pit, a pond with an island that could be access with a bridge and several acres of grass and trees. We will be back

We enjoyed our stay here and sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch. Yes, there is quite a bit of road noise as the property is adjacent to the main road, but we were okay with it. We just used a white noise app on our phone at night because it was warm and we needed to open the windows. It was a great base for us to visit Mesa Verde NP and Durango.

This property is located centrally to several attractions between Durango and Cortez. It is clean, comfortable and sits in a park-like setting complete with a small creek, a pond, and a hammock. The porch is wonderful for hanging out and just chillin'. Very close to the entrance to Mesa Verde National Park. We stayed four nights and would stay here again if ever in the area.

We were looking for a place in a centrally located area between Durango, Mesa Verde and Telluride. This place was just perfect. There is a bit of highway noise but not enough to be bothersome. The property is beautiful so we spent most of our time on the porch. Beds are comfy and kitchen was well equipped. We would certainly stay again.

We absolutely loved this property! The front porch view and surrounding grounds are lovely. The house was immaculate, kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfy. Internet was spotty at times but that isn't anything that can be controlled. The host was very helpful and answered any questions we had immediately. I would highly recommend.

I was looking for a place for my family to stay as we enjoyed the southwest part of Colorado. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the “Peaceful Mancos Hideaway.” The property owners were responsive to all or our questions. Our two boys enjoyed petting the horse, paddle boarding in the mini-lake, running around the vast open area, chilling out in the hammocks, and just being kids. My wife and I also enjoyed our time as we really could just relax!!!
One of the best parts of the home was how centrally located it was to all of our activities – four corners, Mesa Verde, Canyon of the Ancients, Durango, etc.…. If you go, DO spend some time in the town of Mancos. There are good eats and very friendly people.
If you are looking for a place to stay that is not a hotel and not around people and you like a peaceful place to put your feet up after a day of play, this is the spot.

We came to southwest Colorado to ride the train in Durango and explore Mesa Verde National Park. This property put us in the middle. It's a great location, was super clean and provided everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable!! Our 2 teenage boys enjoyed the paddle boards and peddleboat, and our entire family enjoyed the big yard. We couldn't have asked for more. Thanks for a great experience.

We were looking for a quiet place that allowed us to take our dogs and enjoy some rest-up time. This was just about perfect! This two-bedroom duplex was small, but comfortable and well- appointed. The surrounding property was delightful with lots of trees, an island surrounded by a beautiful pond and nearby livestock (a donkey and mule). Mancos is very close and provided great little shops featuring local artists. Mesa Verde is virtually right around the corner! Amazing! Cynthia was responsive when we had questions or concerns. So glad we chose this spot! We’d come back in a heartbeat!

My husband and I loved this place. The view from the porch was spectacular, the bed was very comfortable and there was an attention to the little things that make your stay comfortable. We took our dog who had a blast running on the green lawn. I would highly recommend this place.

Awesome Retreat
This was one of the highlights of our recent trip to Colorado. It was a pleasure staying on this property just outside of Durango. The property is amazing! A creek is just a few feet from the house to relax, reflect and unwind. Also on the property is a pond and beautiful trees that the owner welcomes you to walk around and enjoy. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay this cozy house is it!

Renting the property was quite simple. We were very happy with where we stayed we were 4 Senior citizens with a combination of bad knees and backs, so we were very happy that there was only one step. The property is beautiful and very peaceful.

Very well kept and quaint house on a great piece of property with pond and running river. Secluded and quiet but very close to downtown Mancos. Very clean and well stocked with towels, bedding and cooking utensils. It was nice to sit out on the covered porch and listen to the river running by. Perfect for 2 to 4 people. Would definitely stay there again, 5 stars.

Charming spot on the river complete with the sound of babbling water. Dog friendly. Our only was blip was we brought pizza and casseroles to bake only to discover the kitchenette didn’t have an oven. Lol. But that was our fault for not reading the description thoroughly! We really loved the place.

We stayed here with our kids and our dogs and it was absolutely amazing!! This was our first time in Colorado and we didn’t take the time change into account when we left. Thankfully our host was so wonderful and let us check in an hour early. The house and property are absolutely beautiful and we had a blast paddle boarding and just sitting on the porch listening to the sound of water in the little creek in front of the house.

Quiet and serene location close to Mesa Verde
This place was perfect for us. There was plenty of room in the cabin and located on a property with a pond, beautiful grassy field, creek and situated right off the main highway! We did not miss air conditioning even with days in the 90s! It was relaxing for us with plenty to explore for the kids. Mesa Verde was 15 minutes away!
