I have stayed in numerous VRBO properties across multiple continents and this is the most special place ever! Christine is a fabulous host and made sure that our every wish was catered to. Her cottage is spectacular! We loved every minute of our time there and did not want to leave. If her property is available and you don't choose to stay there you are seriously missing out! Absolute perfection in every way!

Christine was extremely helpful in recommending beaches, food, and went above and beyond with communication and making sure we had fresh towels and the right size swimming shoes. She also bought us fresh orange juice from the local restaurant:) Many thanks!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Christina’s house. The house is very sweet with amazing views and Christina looked after us so well and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed.

We loved our time in this traditional house with an incredible view. Waking up to the sound of the sea was the perfect way to start the day. The photos and description are accurate...this place is perfect for couples. Communication was great too! Folks with mobility issues should note that you reach the primary bedroom either by ladder from the kitchen or a staircase outside the house.

Emplacement de rêve, 2 terrasses idéalement placées face à la mer. Bain de mer au pied de la maison lorsque la mer est calme ou légèrement agitée. Proximité d'une délicieuse taverne (pas de nuisance sonore de la taverne), les plats arrivent directement sur notre terrasse. Vacances inoubliables dans la maison de Christine !

Séjour d’une semaine parfait dans cette belle maison, très bien équipée, au bord de l’eau et au cœur d’un petit port idyllique. Hôtesse charmante et toujours disponible pour donner de bons conseils et compléter l’équipement de la maison si besoin. Excellent petit resto à côté (Succulents poulpes, anguilles, maquereaux...) qui sert les plats directement sur la terrasse !!! Allez-y les yeux fermés. On recommande vivement.

Christine’s seaside home is exactly as described, and even more! Photos show the place as it truly is... beautiful. Christine is a super host, in every way. She answered emails promptly, met us at the airport to transport our luggage, gave us fantastic info on local sites and restaurants, and took great care of us for anything we needed during our five night stay. We were there as two couples, and we couldn’t be happier with our stay, and hope to go back some day! There is a fantastic restaurant next store, called Medusa’s, with amazing food. We had several dinners from them right on our own outdoor dining table! We were concerned the restaurant might be noisy, but even though it’s busy all the time, it was just fine. They don’t play music there, so it’s very quiet. The home has been recently decorated and is just lovely. Air-conditioning in bedrooms makes sleeping very comfortable, and we loved the upstairs patio. The other benefit to this house is it’s central location, although you do need to rent a car, as the village of Mandrakia is just a small, quaint, fishing village. Everything, though, is a short drive away, from beaches, to groceries, to many beautiful sites. We would definitely highly recommend Christine’s place!

We stayed in Christine’s adorable home for 6 nights in June 2019. Christine is a genuinely lovely, hospitable person who went out of her way to make us comfortable and welcome, helped us arrange a fantastic boat tour, and checked in regularly to make sure we were happy and well. She had great recommendations for beaches and activities, and kept us stocked with clean towels and essentials. Milos is incredibly beautiful and unique. This house and its location were perfect, and we especially enjoyed the beautiful upstairs balcony and outdoor shower. We explored the entire island and everyone agreed we stayed in the best spot. Five minutes to Adamas, 10 minutes to Plaka, and so much to explore on foot. We also floated many evenings in the sea in front of the house. Don’t miss the bakery near the gas station and grocery store! The taverna next door is very close, and at first we were a bit concerned about the noise and crowd. But then we ate there and met the staff, who treated us so warmly and served the best food we ate on the island. They always made space for us at the restaurant, even when it was busy. One night, I walked over in a wet bathing suit to order takeaway and returned to our home patio with an ice cold bottle of wine and dinner delivered to us within 10 minutes, piping hot, on real plates. We were sad to leave Milos and will try to return! We would stay at Christine’s home again in a heartbeat.

La maison est parfaite, la vue est magnifique un vrai petit coin de paradis on a l’impression d’etre au bout du monde avec le petit plus du resto d’à côté qui nous apportent des bons petits plats. Quiet and quaint and best restaurant next door and Christine is a sweetheart!

We wanted a small home on the water where we could get away from crowds of tourists and this exceeded our expectations. Milos is a great island to experience, very very hospitable people, gorgeous beaches, the clearest water and every restaurant just excellent. Christina's home is exactly as advertised and the taverna next door has wonderful food, fresh seafood and the waitstaff will deliver to your door! We sailed on our last day with Katerina Sailing (Booked a private, 2-person excursion for 5 hours) and it was equally as splendid. If I could give more stars in this review, I would. Well done!

All the other reviews of Christine and her house are spot on. During the many months leading up to our visit to Milos, Christine was very helpful in answering any questions I had about the island and her property. She offerred to pick us up at the airport (we rented a car so didn't need the pickup). When we arrived at the house, she was there (with her Mom visiting from Germany) and quickly made us feel welcome as she showed us around the house. The house couldn't be in a more beautiful setting - steps from the Aegean (with its' own private sea-front patio with table and chairs), beautiful views from two upstairs balconies and the ground floor patio, very comfortable bed in the upstairs bedroom, everything very clean. Kitchen was nicely equipped (Christine had left us a welcome-basket filled with lots of goodies) but we didn't prepare any meals there as we happily sampled many of the island's restaurants (again, several excellent recommendations by Christine). Even though the Medousa taverna next door (excellent, by the way, we ate there twice) is open late into the night there was never any excessive noise. One evening while we were relaxing on the house's patio one of the friendly waiters brought over a plate of cheese pies Christine had ordered for us. A ferry strike stranded us for two extra days on MIlos (actually a nice surprise) and Christine was able to let us stay one of those nights in the house and recommended a very nice hotel in the village up the road from Mandrakia where she lives for the other night. As for Milos - what a fantastic island. Beautiful, unique and varied beaches, over 60 in all (I think we got to about a dozen of them). A couple of times we were the only people on the beach. No crowds like you'll find in Santorini. Several larger villages (the port, Adamas, Plaka, Pollonia, Trypiti) where you'll find most of the restaurants, shops, views, etc. and many tiny and extremely picturesque old fishing villages. We got to spend five fantastic nights in Christine's house by the sea and if we ever get the chance to return we hope it's for more!

Nous avons passé un séjour formidable avec nos 3 enfants dans ce joli village de pêcheurs qui a su garder toute son authenticité. La maison est très jolie et bien équipée et nous avons reçu un excellent accueil de la part de Christine sa propriétaire. Une taverne typique est juste à côté ce qui est également bien pratique. A recommander sans aucune hésitation !

Merci encore à Christine pour sa générosité, gentillesse et disponibilité, toujours présente en cas de besoin et nous a bien aidée lorsqu'il a fallu un médecin pour notre fils souffrant d'une otite, elle a pris le temps de nous accompagner partout où il fallait et de faire l'intermédiaire. La maison est vraiment sur le plus bel endroit de l'île avec une vue panoramique ou la couleur de l'eau est exceptionnelle, on peut faire des balades longeant le bord de mer sur les roches de couleur blanches et jaune.... Ns avons passé une semaine idyllique et étions très triste de quitter ce petit paradis. Il nous tarde déjà d'y revenir

Beautiful waterfront traditional property in a small former fishing hamlet. Since we were there very early in the season it was very quiet- just the neighboring small taverna owner re-painting his taverna and klima boathouse during the day. Gorgeous views to the north and a beautiful small church nearby with open door, wonderful iconostasis and votive candles burning. This is the heart of the real Greece and I would go again in a heart beat. Christine was an amazingly accommodating and thoughtful host. She met us at a 10:45 pm ferry as if it was no imposition at all and she oriented us to the Port town, Adamas, and helped us find a rental car which we appreciated greatly and felt as if this was beyond what the normal call of duty. Her house is very respectfully restored in a true Cycladic tradition and has every modern convenience that one would expect in an up-to-date hotel but much more charm and spirit of place. We would truly love to return for a longer stay. Thank you, Christine!
