Perfect

Perfect location, near to the beach and not far from the centre, allowing for a very peaceful stay. The lodge was very clean and tidy and an ideal place to stay.

It was alright but......

The lodge was in a great location, nice and quiet - although it was late December. There is plenty of space for four people. The lounge has a very good amount of seating and it is very comfortable. The shower in the main bathroom is very good. The kitchen is mostly well equipped. Parking for two cars was a great bonus as we stayed with friends who had to bring another car. The WiFi and Smart TV both worked very well.

Unfortunately a number of things spoiled our enjoyment of the property, the main one was the smell of dog (very strongly) in the lounge and the main passageway to the bedrooms. Dog hair was also present on the carpets. I understand that this is a pet friendly property but surely the extra charge is used to clean up after they have visited? We opted to wash all of the cutlery, crockery and cookware after finding dirty plates and pans in the cupboards. There were only a few usable glasses, luckily we'd brought some with us. Some cupboard and drawer doors had loose facings. The cooker only had three usable rings, one had been stuffed with paper. The ensuite shower head would not stay up on its own and the plug in the main bathroom sink had jammed closed. I appreciate that it is right at the end of the year but this chalet would have been so much nicer with some TLC and decent cleaning.

Alexandra and Lisa are very helpful and friendly .. Lisa made us welcome and showed us where to go for lunch nearby on arrival until our lodge was ready for us . Lodge was very comfortable and decking area lovely for the sunny days

Perfect place for vacation. Fully recommend. Everyone wish to find opportunities for coming back again

Nice location, very quiet, cozy and comfortable place, we had everything we needed including barbecue with coals. The beds were so comfortable as well. Satisfaction in maximum.

Only bin bags were missing.

Southsea location was good, accommodation good value, easy access and parking. Lisa helpful. Loved seeing the foxes. Close proximity to beach. Good location for our visit to Portsmouth. Sun on balcony in evenings.

The smell of smoke, my grandson was disappointed that the play area was overgrown.

Lovely lodge on a really nice and friendly site, the neighbours were so welcoming! We really felt like this was a home from home and settled in really quickly, honestly a perfect place to stay when you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of somewhere like London. Beach is really close and if you are up for a short walk there is a nice coffee shop, fish and chip shop and corner shop all quite close. Pier is a bit further but still close, we made a day of walking down the coast and making stop offs at lots of different places which was nice. Everywhere is super easy to drive to and nothing really feels 'far'. Kitchen is well equipped, didn't feel like we were missing anything. We all slept well in the beds. Love the outside veranda type area which is also great for dogs as it's fully enclosed. Living room is soo cosy at night time. Thank you so much to Alexandra and Lisa, both very informative and friendly.

We would recommend the lodge and area to other families and dogs. Eastney Tavern, Hovercraft to Isle of Wight and Ferry

The lodge was a lovely 3 bedroom with on suite in the main bedroom and another toilet/shower for other family members. Situated close to the Eastney beach, easy access within 5 minutes and dog friendly all year round. We wear met as we arrived by a lovely lady called Lisa who gave us a very good brief about the lodge and local areas of interest.

Lovely quiet location, easy access to the shingle beach. Bedrooms comfortable, good supply linen and Toiletries. Spacious and dog friendly Conveniently places for visiting other resorts along the coast

It was nice.

The location is very good, the staff was excellent. Wifi was good. However, the property was clean and spacious and comfortable.

The bath towels are a bit old. and the amount we paid was more than the value of the time we spent there

Lovley property and location

The property was lovely. Fantastic for the kids and safe. Shower, bath and everything else you need for day to day stuff. Bedrooms were a decent size and very clean. TV’s were of excellent quality.

When we arrived there was an old smell of smoke. Don’t think that there had been smoking inside, possibly out on the balcony but with the doors open. Not too much of an issue although our clothes do smell and we don’t smoke.Also the WiFi was very slow in the other bedrooms. Wish there were more things to do on-site but thats no reflection of the property itself.

Beautful Lodge

. Beautiful lodge so well kept and loads of space. Lovely furnishings and has everything you need for a break away. Lovely to be able to hear the sea from the lodge Would love to come in the summer so we could make use of the huge decking area. We will be back.. .

Dog friendly. Close to the beach, close to Portsmouth. Daughter at University in Portsmouth. Lovely to have someone to meet us to give keys etc and ask questions and have a number to contact if any problems. They were great.

A few more things in the kitchen for cooking. Serving dishes and utentials maybe. A few more plates.
