!PRIVATE POOL! Exclusive, and All yours with this rental. We specialize in a vacation or a corporate home on the California coast. The pool is for you only. Short or Long term guests welcomed, and sleeps 4. We are well positioned in San Diego, near the beach, and near the bay. We feature a wrap around pool deck that's perfect for sun bathing. Inside you will enjoy a bright airy environment with floor to ceiling windows.
The Poolside guest house features a New A/C unit installed June 2023. accommodations include 1 bedroom with a queen size bed, and 1 full bathroom. There is also a comfortable pull down Murphy Bed in the living room to accommodate up to four guests. The pool heated only with a solar blanket and solar panels. The solar blanket provides heating when the sun is out especially from April-November.
Enjoy your stay in this Classic California home with more than 700 square feet of space. The large living room / kitchen area features an efficiency kitchen, and dining area. We also feature a large patio by the pool that is equipped with a BBQ. Enjoy the outdoor patio year round with a meal poolside.
Last year we just finished constructing a new wrap around deck poolside! You can also rely on a washer and dryer that comes with the rental. Our newly renovated fence offers great privacy. Come stay with us in San Diego's beach community of Point Loma, Ocean Beach.

My family stayed at Pete’s in 2021 and our experience was so great that we came back again. It was even better the 2nd time. Kids loved the private pool, the location is great and Pete is the perfect host.

What a wonderful place to stay: the condo was clean and comfortable (with pretty much anything you could possibly need), the pool immaculate, and the neighborhood great. The host is both helpful and communicative. We'd stay here again for sure.

Our family of 3 had a truely fantastic stay here. The pool house was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Having the private pool right out the door was a great perk. The location made exploring the area easy. Grocery store, restaurants, beaches, and scenic areas nearby. The neighborhood was quiet which was so nice after being out and about. The owner (Pete) was very responsive and made us feel welcome. He was very friendly and we so appreciated his tips and recommendations. Would definitely recommend this place!

What a phenomenal place to stay in San Diego - probably my best VRBO rental yet. Great hosts, great pool, great location, just great. Did I say it was great? Seriously, jump on this if you can - we will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our stay very much! Pete was kind and welcoming and made us feel like family. The location was very nice and really close to everything but not right in the city. The pool was very nice to come home to after a long day. The home itself was very clean with lots of amenities. Overall it was a very positive experience, we would love to stay there again and would recommend to anyone!

I now understand all the wonderful ratings this place has received. Pete was a wonderful host. Available to answer any questions and very kind. Such a quiet and serene area. We didn’t use the pool much because we were out seeing the city. Sitting next to the pool was therapeutic as well for morning coffee or evening wind down. Would return here in a heartbeat for another visit.

This apartment was just as described and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Much better than staying in a hotel. Very private and safe with everything we needed.

Pete ours host, was wonderful. He was always concerned that we had an excellent stay and pointed out a number of his fav’s in Ocean beach area. We had private access to the pool which was part of the stay at the location, unfortunately we did not get to have much pool time. The location was in reasonable driving distance to Sea world, Downtown excursions, places to shop for souvenirs and mini of the wonderful beach areas.

Pete was very easy to communicate with from the get-go. He replied to messages promptly and ensured we had everything we needed before arrival. The place was exactly how it was shown in the pictures and had all the amenities, plus extras if we needed (towels, for example). The pool was great and the garden is gorgeous.
However, the promise of a "place-to-yourself" was not true. We were not given instructions for arrival other than to contact the host. This forced us to use international data to do so. Upon arrival, he showed us the place but all of the info could have been given online ahead of time.
Furthermore, Pete and his wife often came down to the rented space. They were donning and doffing the pool cover, cleaning the pool, and even left dirty socks in our area. They were nice, but we were capable of doing all of those tasks ourselves.
Most disappointing was that there was no way to lock the doors to our rented space. There were two glass sliding doors and no way to lock either. This made us uneasy. I think this could be a perfect spot if there were locks installed for the rented space and if the owners provided information ahead of time, then refrained from disturbing the guests.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The listing is very accurate. Clean and private. The host, Pete, was generous with his hospitality and provided a great experience for my family. He and his wife even left a cake to celebrate my son's bday. Such a nice surprise. My kids 12 and 4 absolutely loved the pool and slept well on the murphy bed and couch. The bed was comfortable and many linens and towels were provided. Zero complaints. The location is great and absolutely beautiful. I will plan another stay here for sure.

This was a fantastic location for everything we were looking to do in San Diego. The property is as described and as an added bonus a calming, quiet, private beautiful space to spend time when you are not out and about. Pete was very welcoming and friendly. Had an amazing stay! The backyard pool was relaxing. The place was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. It had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The neighborhood was also great, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops. Definitely a must to see the sunset at Sunset Cliffs. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for several nights over Christmas and it was incredible. First of all, the place was great and the host was very gracious! He even brought us fresh-baked cookies on Christmas morning. Secondly, the location can’t be beat. Within a 1-2 mile radius are Ocean Beach, Sunset Cliffs, Mission Beach, Point Loma, etc. So many great shops and restaurants are *right* there for you. If you want to explore more, everything else is a short 15-20 minute drive away: Coronado, Balboa Park, Encinitas. Best trip!!!

This was a splendid property. It is in a great location, not far from anything you'll likely want to do in the area. The neighborhood is quiet. The property is fantastic and true to description. I can't say enough great things -- the pool, amenities, etc. It was perfect for our short trip to San Diego; kids loved the pool. And the owner, Pete, is very helpful, kind, thoughtful, and happy to answer questions you might have. We'd definitely stay again.

The apartment was snug and met our family's (4) needs very well. It was well appointed and the backyard was very relaxing. We spent most of our time exploring the beach and city, and it was nice to return to a quiet place at the end of the day. Our kids loved the beach toys and the Murphy bed!

Our stay was awesome! Pete is an excellent host. Staying there was like staying with family. Our group included two teenage boys. They loved the pool. The temp was always great. The location was perfect as it seemed everything was about 15 minutes away. We enjoyed sight seeing, attending the 2023 Men's World Lacrosse Championship and each day coming back to relax was amazing. Can't say enough good things. We loved it. Thanks Pete!

A group of 4 of us had an amazing time at this home. Pete and his wife are awesome hosts - there for anything you might need but not poking in your space/business. We’d come back in the afternoon from being out and the pool would be uncovered and ready for us to enjoy. If I return to San Diego I will certainly stay here again. Pete was an excellent host! Would definitely stay here again. Plenty of room for two adults and two kids. Pool was very nice. Plenty of extra towels and blankets. Location was great, within 20 minutes from La Jolla, the zoo, and the airport. Recommend Rosarios for pizza and Pomas for sub sandwiches.

The couple was extremely helpful, in offering any assistance, for example once I arrive taking me to buy groceries. Sharing information on sightseeing and actually dropping me off at the beach. The weather was too cold to swim my only regret. But I will return when warmer.

The space was perfect for us, a short walk to my sisters and just enough space for use all. The Murphy bed for the kids, though one chose to sleep on the couch, and a separate room for the parents.
A responsive gregarious host making room of unused space (separate) in their house. We will definitely be putting this on our short list of place to stay.

My son and I had the best time staying at Point Loma! The owner Pete is great and the property was perfect! It is located really close to the beach and we were able to easily catch rides to all of the attractions we visited. Highly recommend staying here!
