Podere Consalvo is a typical Tuscan country house. Surrounded by the soft hills of the Chianti Classico, lies the approximately 4-acre property of the Consalvo family with their characteristic guesthouse in the heart of Tuscany.
The guest house is divided into two living units. Apartment 'Olivo'- and Apartment, Cipresso'
Both apartments have their private entrance and outdoor area with chairs table and chairs. It is only 15 km from Florence. Thanks to its favorable location (265 m above sea level), it has a very pleasant climate and opens up generously to the surrounding vineyards and olive groves. Perfect stay in mesmerizing Tuscany!
We loved everything about our stay! Elizabeth is super kind and helpful but also really respectful about our privacy. The house is really clean and comfortable everyone has room for relaxation and enjoying nature at its best. Really convenient location within a short drive of beautiful towns and delicious restaurants. We will absolutely love to come back one day!

Lovely place but no privacy...be careful
We did not feel comfortable at this property due to the lack of privacy. The property is covered by lots of CCTV cameras and we always had the feeling we were being watched. It was not possible to relax even in the area by our part of the property.

Fantastic Location.
we have just come back from 10 nights at this wonderful place,located right in the heart of the chianti region just outside the village of San Casciano.
The cottages are great, nicely furnished with everything you need, a good outside space for eating or sitting in the sun and best of all a great pool.
The owner Elsabeth, is a fantastic host always on hand to give helpful tips on where to go, arranging visits to vineyards or even directions on where to park on visits to Florance.
The weather was unbelievably hot even the locals were complaining.
We will definitely return

A Tuscan Idyll
We had a perfect 12 day stay at beautiful Podere Consalvo. The accommodation was comfortable and well equipped and the pool very welcome after a hot day sightseeing. Elisabeth is an excellent, warm and friendly host who provided us with a tasty breakfast on our first morning as well as home-produced, delicious honey, marmalade, olive oil as well as eggs from her chickens. She kindly advised us on free parking areas in Florence and places of interest in the area. I also enjoyed the art class with the highly skilled art tutor. We would have no hesitation recommending this farmhouse to others. A relaxing base from which to see all the beauty that Tuscany has to offer. Thank you Elisabeth for all your effort to make us welcome, we had a great time.

Wunderschön gelegen, sehr ruhig, herzliches Willkommen
Die Wohnung selber läßt keinen Wunsch offen: sehr sauber, komfortabel, und dann die Aussicht!
Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen, die kurze aber höchst interessante Einführung in den Olivenanbau war einfach Klasse, dafür an dieser Stelle nochmal ein herzliches Dankeschön!
Für meine Frau und mich (die wir einfach ein wenig Ruhe gebraucht haben) war das genau das Richtige. Und wer es nicht so ruhig mag: die nächste/n Bushaltestelle/n sind in fußläufiger Entfernung, von dort so um die 40 Minuten nach Florenz. Mit dem Auto ist man in einer knappen halben Stunde in Siena.
Rundum gut, wir suchen schon nach einem Termin für unseren nächsten Besuch dort.

Beautiful setting with a small caveat
We loved the property and the setting and Elisabeth could not have been a more welcoming host. Casa Podere and it's grounds are beautiful and the views of the surrounding countryside are everything we hoped Tuscany would be. We really liked San Casciano which is a short walk away and provided for most of our needs. We rented the apartment closest to the main house and it was well equipped for lazy days in the garden and eating in.
The only downside to our stay was that the other rental apartment in the annex was also occupied and the noise between the two became quite intrusive (+ we couldn't use the beautiful terrace!). I think we were unlucky in that the other guests seemed somewhat nocturnal (and noisy) but nonetheless it spoiled the feeling of being somewhere peaceful and relaxing. Coming from central London I didn't expect more noise at night in the Tuscan hills. A small blot on our stay but something of which to be aware.

Séjour en Toscane près de San Casciano
Une destination de rêve...
Elisabeth et sa famille sont des gens charmants, sachant doser parole, écoute et discrétion.
Leur domaine est un havre de paix : "luxe, calme et volupté", comme disait l'autre (Baudelaire, me semble-t-il). Elisabeth fait son miel et élève des chèvres, sans tomber dans le folklore.
Après des journées harassantes à Florence, on recommande le repas du soir au village de San Casciano où on trouve un tas de petits restaurants tranquilles et authentiques.
A recommander également, le petit déjeuner roboratif d'Elisabeth, élégamment servi dans un panier d'osier posé devant la porte. Elisabeth est allemande d'origine mais vous pourrez également converser avec elle en italien, en anglais et, si vous insistez, avec quelques bribes de français.
Bref, vous l'aurez compris, une destination où nous retournons sans hésitation.

Relaxed verblijf tussen de olijfgaarden met een prachtig uitzicht
We hebben genoten van onze vakantie op het landgoed Podere Consalvo.
De woning Olivio met grote tuin voldeed prima voor ons drieën.
Het ruime zwembad hadden we meestal voor onszelf.
De vriendelijke gastvrouw Elisabeth was zeer belangstellend en voorzag ons van nuttige tips.
De Toscaanse bezienswaardigheden zijn allemaal makkelijk te bereiken.
Bij verschillende restaurants in San Casciano hebben we heerlijk gegeten.
Kortom, een aanrader voor een fijne vakantie centraal in Toscane.

Ein traumhafter Toskana Urlaub zu Dritt
Wir sind begeistert von unserem Urlaub im Podere Consalvo und können dieses Domizil in einer wunderschönen Umgebung nur weiterempfehlen. Hervorzuheben sind, neben der schönen Unterkunft und dem großen Pool, insbesondere die Gastfreundschaft der Vermieterin, die uns mit wertvollen Tipps z.B.zur kinderfreundlichen Besichtigung von Florenz, zu anderen sehenswerten Städten der Umgebung (immer unter Berücksichtigung der Interessen unserer siebenjährigen Tochter), leckeren Restaurants sowie der Behandlung unserer Mückenstiche zur Seite stand. Wir haben uns sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt und möchten uns nochmal für die schöne Zeit bedanken, auch für das besondere Highlight am letzten Urlaubstag: die Pasta- Zubereitung...unsere Tochter war begeistert!

Unser Traumdomizil mit atemberaubenden Ausblick
Nach 15jähriger Pause wollten wir wieder einmal Urlaub in der Toskana machen und hatten einen für uns perfekten Ort dafür gesucht -und den haben wir tatsächlich auf der Podere Consalvo gefunden. Es stimmt wirklich alles, was bereits von den anderen Urlaubern zu diesem Domizil geschrieben wurde - super sympathische Vermieterin, großes und gepflegtes Landgut mit tollem Ausblick, gemütliche Ferienwohnung mit allem was man benötigt, großer Pool usw.. Das Zentrum von San Casciano erreicht man bequem zu Fuß in ca. 30 Minuten. Wir haben uns einfach nur wohl gefühlt und bedanken uns herzlich bei unserer Frau Drexler und Familie, dass wir unseren Urlaub dort verbringen konnten. Wir können Ihnen dieses Urlaubsziel nur ans Herz legen!

Séjour et service exceptionnel, on s'est régalé!!!
J'ai eu l'impression de rentrer dans une carte postale. Tout était parfait! Une large vue imprenable d'un magnifique paysage Toscan, Une belle maison en pierre propre et bien décorée, un chemin d'accès bordé de cyprès Toscan, un jardin d'oliviers d'où on a plus envie de partir, une terrasse privée avec une vue à couper le souffle, une propriétaire sympathique et dévouée qui est à votre service. Le tout aux portes de Florence (vous pouvez apercevoir le dôme de la cathédrale depuis le jardin). Je vous conseille fortement l'option petit déjeuner, qui est en fait un brunch avec du pain frais, des brioches faites maison, avec de la charcuterie et du fromage, du miel enfin tout ce qu'il faut, servi à table avec boissons chaudes et fraiches. La propriétaire Elisabeth est à votre service pour toute demande ou conseil concernant les visites de la région, elle est très sympathique et à l'écoute. Je connais Abritel depuis 8ans et ce séjour est le plus réussi de tous. Mon seul regret est de ne pas être resté plus longtemps... J'ai conseillé cette location à ma sœur pour ses 30ans de mariage. Je n'ai jamais pris la peine de formuler d'appréciation pour une location avant aujourd'hui mais là j'ai vraiment adorée. Julian Célestra.

Tolle Lage, super Ambiente, nette Vermieterin
Wir haben eine unbeschreiblich schöne Woche hier verbracht. Der Pool sauber, groß und umrahmt von Olivenbäumen und Lavendel. Die Vermieterin ist sehr bemüht und hat uns immer mit frischem Obst, Gemüse, Olivenöl und eigenen Eiern versorgt. Die Unterkunft ist einfach aber die Lage inder Nähe von Florenz ist toll. Die Tipps von Elisabeth haben diesen Aufenthalt abgerundet - wir kommen gerne wieder!!!

Nur das beste...
Wir möchten uns nochmal Herzlich bei unseren Vermietern bedanken, wir haben diesen Urlaub sehr genießen können und werden sicherlich wieder vorbei kommen. Was besseres hätten wir nicht erwischen können. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und hat alles was man benötigt. Der Pool ist sehr groß und für eine Abkühlung immer zu haben. Die Stadt hat schöne Läden und leckere Restaurants. Ein Markt lädt zum einkaufen ein. Was will man mehr ?! Wir wünschen euch eine gute Zeit und das Malen werden wir sicherlich weiter Unterstützen. Traumurlaub Toskana
Wir haben die zweieinhalb Wochen auf dem Podere Consalco vollends genossen.
Bei traumhaften Wetter haben wir uns die vielen schönen, kleine sowie große Städte in der Toskana angeschaut, haben aber auch die Ruhe und die traumhaften Ausblicke von dem Gut sehr genossen.
Wir haben uns dort rundum wohl gefühlt, der Pool ist klasse, das Gut wunderschön und auch unser Hund hat sich dort richtig wohl gefühlt .
Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die Gastfreundschaft der gesamten Familie
und danken nochmals für die schöne Zeit.

Erholsamer Urlaub in der Toskana
Im Juli 2013 verbrachten wir eine wunderbare, erholsame Woche im Consalvo Podere.
Im Chianti-Gebiet und durch die Nähe zu Sienna, Florenz und vielen anderen sehenswerten Orten war der Aufenthalt sehr abwechslungsreich. Nach unseren Ausflügen genossen wir die Ruhe und Kühle des Pools. Rundherum wohl fühlten wir uns in unserem Häuschen am Pool. Sehr angenehm war die Gastfreundschaft und die nette Betreuung der Vermieter, die viele gute Anregungen und Tipps für uns bereit hielten. Ein rundherum perfekter Aufenthalt!

Traumurlaub in der Toskana
Um es gleich vorweg zu nehmen, wir sind total begeistert vom Podere Consalvo - gelegen zwischen Weinbergen und Olivenhainen.
Obwohl wir begeisterte Italien Urlauber sind, so haben wir dennoch bis jetzt noch nichts vergleichbar schönes erlebt. Sowohl unsere Ferienwohnung (sehr gut ausgestattete Wohnung mit großem Fenster und Gartenterrasse) als auch das gesamte Anwesen mit Blick auf Florenz sind sehr beeindruckend. Allein schon die klassische Auffahrt entlang einer Reihe von Mittelmeerzypressen aber auch die ideale Lage ( zentral gelegen, zwischen Florenz - 15km und dem Chianti Gebiet, Siena - 25km) sind toll. In der nahe gelegenen Stadt San Casciano findet man alles, was man zum täglichen Leben braucht.
Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und es gab sogar ein Begrüßungsgeschenk, auch für unseren Hund Toby. Mit wertvollen Tipps von unserer deutsch sprachigen Vermieterin wurde unser Urlaub perfekt. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch,aber dann auf jeden Fall länger...

Ein sehr schönes Ferienhaus in wunderschöner,ruhiger Lage mit einmaligem Blick über die Toskana. Der Pool war bei traumhaftem Wetter einfach klasse!

Wunderschön, Erholung pur!
Wir haben soeben zwei Wochen Urlaub im Podere Consalvo hinter uns und sind SEHR begeistert von diesem Ort, von der Region, von den Vermietern und den vielen wertvollen Reisetipps von Elisabeth. Der alte, sehr geschmackvoll restaurierte Bauernhof liegt auf einem Hügel in der Nähe von dem hübschen Dorf San Castiano. Dort gibt es sehr gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und einige gute Restaurants. Das "Podere Consalvo" ist umegeben von ein paar Hundert Olivenbäumen und Weinreben, dort hat man Ruhe und eine tolle Aussicht inklusive Blick auf das ca. 14 km entfernte Florenz. Das von den Vermietern produzierte Bio-Olivenöl schmeckt außergewöhnlich gut und mild - hervorragend!
Die zwei Ferienwohnungen befinden sich in der ehemaligen Scheune, jede Wohnung hat seinen eigenen Außenbereich mit Sitzplätzen, Tisch und Liegen und es gibt ausreichend Platz für die eigene Privatsphäre. Toll sind der große Pool und die insgesamt sehr gepflegte Außenanlage, inklusive wunderschöner Schattenplätze unter großen Bäumen. Unsere Ferienwohnung haben wir sehr sauber und ordentlich vorgefunden, die Ausstattung ist gut und modern, wir haben nichts vermisst. Ganz sicher werden wir hier wieder hinfahren um uns zu erholen. Die vielen schönen Städte, Museen und Kultur in der Umgebung, die zauberhafte Landschaft, das tolle Essen und die netten Menschen möchten wir noch viel genauer kennen lernen.
