We are Jonathan and Gail Steidl, the owners of Lakeside Escape. We found our dream home and want you to find your dream vacation in our beautiful property. This has been a vacation home for many years and hundreds of families have left wonderful reviews, we love hearing about your awesome memories. Also Summers in Wisconsin is absolute paradise, we have a wood fireplace indoor and a outdoor fire pit, hot tub to look over the exquisite views.
Our home is your home! located in Wautoma, WI on Irogami Lake in beautiful Waushara County, WI, our 2900 sq. ft. vacation home has all that you need to have the best get-a-way possible.
Exquisitely decorated and complete with 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, 3 TV's with Spectrum Cable, super fast Wifi, including a jumbo 65- inch screen in the living room and a spacious lake front recreation playground, you will find it hard to leave! Oh did we mention it sleeps 18 comfortably?
In the spacious living room, with a dazzling view of Irogami Lake, you will also enjoy a large wood-burning fireplace and a 65 inch 4k Television. Our large game room, which also overlooks the lake, includes a 50-inch flat TV, foosball table, darts and game table, also included in lake volleyball net, 100's of DVD's and so much more!
But why stay indoors when the outdoor seating is a panoramic premium for your entire party. Overlooking the lake is a fire pit for those late night bonfires with plenty of wood available. This stunning home also comes with a gas grill, private pier, water volleyball, canoe, two kayaks, paddle boat, and a rowboat. Irogami Lake is a 290 acre sand bottom, fishing swimming and boating lake.
You will not find a better vacation home to relax, refresh and enjoy. Perfect for family gatherings , reunions, group getaways, business and spiritual retreats.

There are two large golf courses just a few miles from the lodge: Waushara Country Club, a lovely 27-hole course open to the public and Two Oaks North, a novice friendly 18 hole golf course. There are also many more courses located within 30 minutes of Wautoma, including Lawsonia in Green Lake, WI. voted " One of the top 100 Classic Golf Courses in the U.S", ranked #60 by Golfweek in 2017, Lawsonia has been one of Wisconsin's very best golf destinations for generations.
We also offer a Winter Wonderland! Just five miles away from the lodge is Nordic Mountain Ski and Tubing Hill. This resort offers runs for the whole family, a very fun and exciting tubing park, restaurant and a wonderful family atmosphere. Off season, mountain bike trails take you thru a gorgeous area of our state. Other skiing attractions include Granite Peak and Cascade Mountain, both approximately 1- hr. away. Waushara County has wonderful snowmobile trails throughout the county and with over 96 lakes, ice fishing is at a premium. Local marinas can outfit you with bait and tackle.

Our 8th time staying at Lakeside Escape did not disappoint! We always find the place very clean, well stocked and always updated in some way. We love the spaciousness of the house and the view of Lake Irogami. Hope to be back in 2025 and many years after that!!

Property is as advertised in listing and photos. Large enough for multiple families to enjoy. Loved having the kayaks and canoe available to use in addition to other amenities. Lots of board games and some toys to keep the kids busy even on a rainy day.
The property is near a well traveled road and road noise a present both inside and outside the house. The lake bottom is sand near the shoreline but it is a weedy bottom off the end of the dock.
Owner quickly responded when we had an issue with the grill.
Overall, the owners have done a very nice job trying to provide variety of amenities to meet anyone’s needs!

Our family enjoyed our stay at Lakeside Escape. We had 8 adults and 9 kids ranging from 21 months to 8 years. We had plenty of room and comfy beds. We really enjoyed fishing from the dock. Water was very clear. One child got swimmer's itch so we suggest washing after being in the water with soap and a washcloth. There are some cute shops in town. Lots of games and puzzles for rainy days.

The cabin was what we needed and even though the weather was on the cooler side our older boys enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat. We rented the pontoon so loveded the tour around the lake and a bit of fishing. Just time relaxing on the deck and enjoying the lake view.
The cabin is clean, well stocked and plenty of games.
Only negative was the highway noise seemed to be a trucking route but not enough to spoil our camp fires.

Clean comfortable escape. Spacious with all the amenities. With extra touches to make it feel like home. Beautiful setting even in the winter! Plenty to do on site. We didnt leave much due to the snowstorm and still had a lovely time. Kind host responsive to questions. We will be back!

We had a great time at this property. From the moment i walked in it felt like Home. It was so comfortable. A great place for a family gathering. Hot tub was fantastic and we enjoyed it so much. Would love to come back next year. The house hd everything we needed. Nice quiet neighborhood. Loved it!!

This was our 6th year at Lakeside Escape over Labor Day weekend. Our family loves this tradition. We have plenty of room, love the cleanliness and all the amenities that Lakeside Escape offers. Two bathrooms were recently updated and they look wonderful.

We booked this house to celebrate Grandpas 70th Birthday. It was great fun as all four children/spouses and 6 grandchildren made it to celebrate. Great sleeping arrangements, spacious living areas and a beautiful lake made it so enjoyable that we seldom left the place. The shallow water out back with a sandy bottom was perfect for our young grandkids!

Enjoyed our relaxing 2weeks. Lots of games and toys for the littles. Plenty of room for the 11 of us. Loved been on the lake kayaking, canoeing and Paddle boating. Certainly had the best weather.

A group of 10 of us stayed at the property and we had a great time! Even though it was a rainy weekend, there are plenty of activities to do inside like games, a poker table (with cards and chips), a dart board, and an indoor fireplace. We had a great time making food and hanging out. We definitely want to come back when it’s nicer weather to take advantage of the kayak and pedal boat!

We had a lovely time at the property. The owner was very prompt and courteous in his communications, and there was even a little basket with welcome goodies. Plenty of fire wood, kitchen towels, toilet paper, and some other basics. The only thing we were missing was some aluminum foil or tupperware for leftovers. Beds were all comfy and there was plenty of space to spread out. But the very best part was the view....big windows that look out over the lake were wonderful. All in all a great visit at a great place.

This was our 6th time enjoying this property! Everything you need is provided, very clean and attractive decor. We love the spaciousness and privacy and most of all the hot tub!

Owners were awesome, and available if needed. Although we didn't need anything because it was well kept and there were no problems. The inside was very clean, and neat. The outside could use a little spider mitigation. But they didn't appear to be a problem inside. So that was good. All in all, we had a great time and definitely recommend!

Place was great! 45 minutes from OSH with a lake, boats, and indoor recreation for kids and adults. Everything was there that I would have had if I owned the place. Lots of fire wood, lifejackets and complimentary ingredients for s'mores! Traffic noise didn't bother us.

Lakeside Escape was probably the best equipped vacation rental that we have experienced. We loved it! The kids had lots to do, water was nice and shallow for the younger ones and we could watch everyone from the deck! The sunsets we're awesome! We had plenty of space for all 16 of us! The only minor downside was the traffic noise but we got used to it!

60th Celebration
We enjoyed the lake and fire pit. We were without electric for one day and there should have been flashlights and better prepared for this. The upper and lower deck could have been cleaner.

Lakeside Escape
Great stay! By far the best stocked place we have ever stayed. Towels,Pots -pans silverware and glasses were available and nice quality. Lots of refrigerator space and an ice maker!! Canoes and kayaks for our use. The view of the lake was fabulous and there was plenty of space for our larger family. The only draw back was the traffic noise. The highway is close and has lots of traffic that made it a little difficult to talk and enjoy nature when on the deck or by the fire pit. It sure didn’t run or stay though. We had a great week!

Incredible family vacation
We loved our visit! House was very clean and felt like we were on top of the lake. Has so many sleeping options that it gave us plenty of space to invite our extended family. Holiday decorations made it feel like we were at home. The fireplace in living room is great for a winter vibe. Can only imagine how fire pit outside is in the summer perched over lake. The hot tub and foosball tub table were better than advertised.
