About this house rental
This home is perfect for family reunions. The 'Scarborough Affair' home is situated on a 17,600 square ft. triple lot, six (6) blocks from the beach. This is the ultimate in vacation privacy. The rear yard is adorned with lush landscaping, hardscape, low voltage night up-lighting, and pergolas draped with Wisteria and grape vines. The 30x15 in-ground heated pool (in season) is a fabulous retreat. In the evenings enjoy the illuminated pool (on timer) and the tranquility of the yard and gardens with added ambient lighting throughout the pergolas. The interior entertaining spaces are open, light and airy and filled with a mix of antique, designer and casual beach furnishings. The open floor plan is perfect for daily family gatherings. The first floor living space has beautiful Mahogany floors throughout, and walls of floor-to-ceiling French doors and windows overlooking the multi-level deck and rear gardens with pool.
The kitchen is fully-equipped for entertaining with stainless steel appliances including a gas range w/electric convection oven. There are multiple dining areas and you can easily accommodate 12 at the main table - 20 using the granite kitchen bar area. The all all season glass porch dining seats 4 to 8, and the rear deck dining, overlooking the yard and pool, seats 12-18 so you can dine under the stars whenever you like. The 15x24 foot screened porch just off the living area has recently been glassed in with air conditioning and heating and boasts the original brick floor and vaulted cedar ceiling with 60 " fan and large L-shaped sectional, large flat screen TV, and dining area - great for relaxing after a day at the beach. You can also enjoy our private, open-air outdoor shower with hot and cold running water.
The lower level serves as lovely private quarters for an entire family or a space for the kids. It has an additional family room with large flat screen TV, 2 bedrooms (one queen and one w/a twin and set of bunks), small dining area, kitchenette with microwave and extra refrigerator (no stove) and full bath.
There are two king bedrooms on the main floor level and one full bath. The second level has 4 additional bedrooms including the spacious master bedroom suite with a King sleigh bed and en-suite bath with vaulted ceilings. Other bedrooms on the second level include 1 queen, 1 w/queen and twin which connects to the 4th bedroom with a double. In addition to the King en suite, there are 2 additional full baths on this level. Parking off street for 5 cars plus 3 City of Rehoboth street parking permits provided.

The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had all that you need and more. The backyard was an oasis. The pool was the perfect temperature. Relaxing environment, great for visiting. Handicapped friendly once you are in. Our ages ranged for 19-106! Enjoyed by all! Would have liked 1 more bathroom on the 1st floor, but overall FANTASTIC! Jacqui was great too!

Everything about the house was beyond what we could have asked for. The backyard is amazing with lots of privacy. The house is very spacious and has everything we needed to make our week stay easy. Jacqui stayed in touch throughout our trip and provided suggestions for restaurants/things to do. Would easily recommend this place for nice getaway!

We had 19 friends & family members stay here and it is a beautiful home with plenty of space to enjoy. Very conveniently located. The owners were easy to communicate with and very helpful. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking.

There was much thought put into the esthetics, comfort, privacy, and convenience for the visitors. But the best part was the pool and the landscaping. It was paradise! Just beautiful! Our guests were blown away with this place and they've vacationed in some very nice places. We loved our environment and were sad to leave. The owners we're very accommodating and we felt very welcomed. Would we go back again? Oh yes, you bet!

We loved our week at this beautiful vacation home. The owners were great to work with and the house is lovely. Our 6 grandkids were in the pool every day and the house was the perfect size for our whole family with it’s 8 bedrooms and large living areas. Made so many good memories - would love to stay here again.

This was our first stay on the Delaware shore and this was an amazing place. The photos of the yard do not do it justice. We have been accustomed to spending a week on the North Carolina beach and did miss the back yard beach access, but the yard was the next best thing. It was absolutely stunning and the back deck, with the arbor was very welcoming.
We spent lots of time at the pool and in the pool. It was the 2023 Heat and rain season.
The house was beautifully decorated and had every utensil you could possibly need. Very well equipped. There was an extra refrigerator in the garage and a small one in the basement. It had plenty of space for people to spread out if they needed some privacy. The driveway and parking passes gave us plenty of car space and I had been worried about that. We had people coming and going, but it all worked out.
The bathrooms were a little bit of a problem. The downstairs bath was small and lots of people were using it. The upstairs three bathrooms were all good except getting to one of them was through two bedrooms. The basement bathroom was fine, but I did not even see it. We had one family staying there and it was great for them. Their own little apartment.

We rented this house for our large family to stay for a wedding in the Rehoboth Beach area. The house was lovely. We really enjoyed the outside and pool area, where we spent most of our time. The owners were wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend this for any family to stay.

You will not regret booking this phenomenal house for your vacation. Spacious and more importantly very clean. We had 9 adults and 7 kids and we all had room to spread out. The pool and outdoor shower were great after a day at the beach or walking on the nearby boardwalk. Great beach town and zero complaints. Jacqui and John were great hosts, they even left us a list of the area shops and restaurants with their honest reviews. Can’t wait to come back!!!

The house is amazing! You can tell that the owners continue to reinvest in the property so that each amenity is both functional and beautiful.
Communication with the owners is easy and the property is equipped so well that you likely won’t need to contact the owner for anything anyways.
This was our second stay in this home and I wouldn’t be surprised if future visits are being planned already. Thank you again!

The home is even more spectacular than the pictures! We had 11 adults and 5 children and never felt cramped. The owners have thought of everything. The landscaping was lovely and the home is well maintained. The kids loved the pool and we hardly went to the beach. Wonderful family vacation.

Lots of room for family of 15, well appointed kitchen, and large beautiful pool. The spacious yard is the most gorgeous I have ever seen, both front and back. Lots of parking and permits provided. Also the owners are wonderful, making sure our stay was an easy one. Thank you so much!!

Wonderful family reunion spot
I can't compliment this listing enough - we had a multigenerational family reunion and stayed all week - there was plenty of space for all of us and we had every amenity we needed. The pool in particular was very refreshing!

Our family enjoyed Jacqui and John’s home for the second time. This trip was delayed for a year due to Covid. Our hosts were very accommodating and helpful. The home was definitely worth returning to. Everything was nicer the second time around. Beautiful decor, well equipped in every way, the pool was used a lot, and the ease of getting to the beach and boardwalk made this an ideal property for our family vacation. Luxurious and safe pandemic vacation
This house was perfect for us. We were a family of 7, though one son and daughter-in-law, expecting a baby in 8 weeks, stayed in a different house for social distancing purposes. They came during the day for pool and meals and the setup was so ideal to socially distance but still be together. Downstairs “apartment” was great for them to be able to use rest room or sit inside if they wanted to. Lots of outdoor space and a fantastic big pergola porch, beautifully lit at night, overlooking the gorgeous landscaped pool setting, with a few dining tables that allowed us to eat together but separate. Also great outdoor shower.
The house was neat as a pin, clean, beautifully yet comfortably decorated, had every possible kitchen item that we needed, appliances worked perfectly, air-conditioning and pool heater perfect.
The owner was very responsive and responsible, and check-in was very very easy.
We had the best family vacation possible in this crazy twighlight zone pandemic! Will be an even more awesome vacation house And experience when this is God willing over!

beautiful spacious house
This home is beautiful inside and out. The garden and deck was so relaxing. The house was big enough for all of us. The little was ones had fun with the pool and playing on the deck and in yard. The only down fall is at times we needed another bathroom. But otherwise it was GREAT!!!

Magical hideaway
This rental become a home to us where our family was able to experience fun, peace,comfort and togetherness. The home decorations and sand room arrangements were perfect. Members of our family could enjoy privacy or join in the fun whenever we wanted, The pool was a great plus, clean and warm. Overall great find.

Beautiful property, and the cleanest rental we've ever stayed in. You can tell it's maintained with pride and care. Easiest check-in process we've ever experienced. Private, quiet, secluded, and absolutely gorgeous deck and yard with a great pool. The owner Jacqui was very responsive to general questions and the only 'issue' we had, which wasn't truly an issue - a dirty pool halfway through the week due to rain and tree debris, and the pool company was out to clean it within a few hours. The only negative for us was the distance from the boardwalk and beach. The adults were fine with the walk (about 20 minutes), but it was a bit too far to handle with little kids, especially lugging beach gear. We would live here permanently, if we could!

What Dream Vacations Are Made Of
We had a magical stay in this amazing home during the week of my daughter’s wedding. She wanted a destination wedding but wanted it to be affordable for guest. This home served as our families headquarters and had all that we needed and more to get ready for the wedding and enjoy the company of our guests.
This listing is better than described and far exceeded my expectations! The bedrooms were very comfortable and each room had a TV and lots of special touches that made it feel like home. It is decorated with great care. The kitchen had everything imaginable to cook gourmet meals for our large party. Though we were at capacity, it never felt cramped. We were ALL able to at in the same time in the same room.
The outdoor spaces are like being at a resort! Ours guests spent hours at the pool and on the expansive deck. It wrapped around the house endlessly with many seating areas and places to laugh and connect. We also had space in the back driveway for games. The highlight of the outdoor space was the gardens and landscaping. The bridal party took amazing pictures in the back yard.
The house is impeccably appointed. It really did feel like a home and not a rental. Jacqui has really improved it since purchasing it and you can feel the love and care she has put into it. John made sure that we had everything we needed property wise and went beyond expectations to ensure we could take advantage of the homes pool, lighting, grill and other high end technology. They were extremely responsive at all times.
It was a nice walk to the beach and the house being so accommodating made it worth not being ocean front. We spent plenty of time at the beach.
If you are looking for a superior gathering place for a large group look no further. This is not your typical beach rental it is indeed an elegant retreat that was better than being in a resort! My daughter’s wedding week was made magical by our stay here.

Simply beautiful and peaceful rental
My family and I stayed recently at Scarborough and we had a wonderful time! Everything is there that you could possibly need or want! The house is very well equipped, even had baby items to make things easier with little ones. We spent a good amount of time in the screened in porch area, playing games and doing puzzles. The outside is so quaint with all the accent lighting, just beautiful! We were in the pool most every day as well! Our entire family had an awesome time and let me add that the owners are fabulous as well. Just super nice people. You can’t go wrong with this property, you will love it!

Great vacation spot for family of 16
The property is exactly as described. Roomy, comfortable, beautifully maintained and landscaped. Kids would have been happy to swim in pool all day. Convenient to beach either walking or by car. Just in Thyme restaurant a short walk, with excellent food and service. John and Jacqui were most attentive and accommodating. Highly recommend. Our first visit to Rehoboth was in 1965.
