If you're looking for relaxation and luxury in a tropical retreat space, you're in the right place at the Bahama House. The house oozes style and spaciousness and with all the right touches. The location was perfect for our extended family of 10. We could walk to the beach and a few of the local hotel eateries and with just a short drive into town. We all spent plenty of time in the pool in between our outings exploring the treasures of Port Douglas and it's surrounds. A fabulous week, all round. We'd be back there in a heartbeat.

This house was perfect for our holiday. We had three couples and four children staying in the house and it was exactly what we needed. The house is beautiful, spacious and exactly as shown in photos. Paradise Found!
Our family has just spent 10 wonderful days at Bahama House and what a joy it has been. House is perfectly positioned in a quiet location a short distance from central PD and only 200 steps from the beach. House itself is massive, beautifully furnished and ideally suited to a relaxing family holiday. Dealing with the hosts was fantastic, clear communication and they couldn't have been more accommodating. If you are looking for a luxurious holiday for your family and The Bahama House is vacant - book it!

An Impressive Property
I stayed at this property with friends over Christmas and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this fabulous, well equipped property. It was only a few minutes walk to the beach but a taxi ride out of Port Douglas town.

We have stayed at a lot of Air BnB's over the years as a family and this is the best we have stayed at. The host is set up perfect for multiple families. The pool and outdoor area gives you the feeling of being at a 5 star resort. Can't say enough good things about this property and property manager and would strongly encourage anyone to stay there if they are looking for an amazing experience. Thank you for making the house one of the highlights of our trip to Port Douglas.

Our family honeymoon at the Port Douglas Bahama House
We loved the property. We had our overseas family join us on our trip to Port Douglas. The Bahama House has several areas to have fun together, lounge around the pool, in the cabana or in several other areas. It's only a short trip to Port Douglas and out of the hussle and bustle which we loved. Just a couple of minutes walk to Four Mile Beach. Every possible amenity you could want. We absolutely loved it. The only problem we had was with the coffee machine which was very tempremental, however having said that it could have just been the coffee pods we were using. We bought the same as the previous people had left, we should have investigated this further. We just loved this property. Definitely worth the price and we would definitely stay again. Perfect family retreat
The Bahama House is a beauty. It is exceptionally well appointed with a great layout, good furnishings, great kitchen and outdoor living area. The pool was a highlight for our grandkids, but does miss the afternoon sun. It's a perfect 4km walk into main town of Port Douglas which for us was an excellent way to start each day. (Grant St Kitchen is the ideal coffee/pastry experience).
It was very thoughtful the way basic dry goods are left by previous guests and we ensured we left as much/more when we departed too
Ticked off activities included Reef Sprinter to Low Isles, visit to Hartley's Croc Farm, visit to Wildlife Sancturary and a self drive estuary tour on a picnic boat (booked at the Marina)

We would thoroughly recommend this beautiful property. We wanted something special for our family to celebrate a 70th birthday and we were delighted. The house and outdoor area was perfect. Fantastic property for large family group
We just returned from a week at the Bahama House and loved it! The property was well equipped, spacious and very comfortable. Everyone had their own space - 3 masters each with private ensuites and two additional double bedrooms that share a Jack and Jill bathroom (perfect for the kids). Everyone loved the pool!

Beautiful house and outdoor area, and when the coffee machine didn’t work we got a replacement given to us the same day. Only downside is it is not close to town, but there are a few food places nearby so wasn’t too much of an issue.

We took 3 generations of our family on this holiday - and as such we were hoping for everything to go well. We were not disappointed. The Bahama House is huge and surpassed all of our expectations. It is well located and supplies everything and anything that you may need on a holiday. The grandchildren had a fantastic time in the pool and the evening family BBQ’s will be a memory for everyone.

Fantastic holiday house!
It's a nice holiday house for our family and all the information books in the house that was really useful and we really enjoyed the swimming pool in the summer time (also in the rainy days)!!! We spent a nice holiday in the Bahama House and we did not want to back home hahaha! Actually the main room's air conditioner was not very good to cool down, also the smell in the house was a little bit strange and hope to improve it (but just a piece of cake ~~). Beautiful house and perfect for family groups
Thank you so much for making our stay in Port Douglas to celebrate our Dad's birthday so enjoyable. The Bahama house is great for big or family groups, with a great layout, bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to ensure space and privacy, and amazing communal and outdoor areas for being together. The house was very clean, well maintained and equipped, and is only a short walk to the beach, or short drive to the netted section of the beach in summer and to shops and restaurants in Port Douglas. The owners/manager provided detailed and attentive service and help when needed. We would definitely recommend this property to others and hope to stay again some time.

Welcome to paradise
We had such a lovely stay at the Bahama House. It was perfect for everything we needed. The house was incredible. So much attention to detail all around the house, the photos don't really show the magic within.
Sharon and Grant were so helpful with all our requirements prior to our arrival, as we were a large family visiting with an 18month old. Baby had lots of things to entertain herself with and the cot and high chair was all there for us too.
And Lisa who was taking care of us whilst we were in the house was great! She was in contact with us, as much as we wanted and there if we needed her for anything. I loved that she sent us a photo of the pool, once we had landed, those little touches meant a lot.
Everyone had a beautiful stay and the only downside was that we couldn't stay long enough!
So glad we found this little gem of paradise and would recommend anyone looking for something special to stay at the Bahama House

Beautiful Tropical setting!
From the moment we arrived my family was so impressed with the Bahama house, it is spacious, well thought out with everything you need, want and more. Grant and Sharon are so welcoming from the first email and throughout our stay. The only thing that is difficult is having to leave! Great entertaining areas and spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, beautiful pool and gardens in a great location. I recommend the Bahama house to anyone heading to gorgeous Port Douglas, five stars.

The Bahama House was just perfect.
The Bahama House was just perfect for our now grown kids + partners + one grandchild and us. The large five bedroom house with every bedroom with its own en suite gave everyone their own space if they needed it but we were all able to enjoy the big lounge and kitchen + the wonderful outdoor dinning area and of course the heated swimming pool.
The whole property was very clean and well maintained - it was just like walking in to someone very large and very comfortable and relaxing holiday home.
We enjoyed BBQing at night when we were not eating out at our favorite PD restaurants - all heading out with our friendly taxi van driver.
I would highly recommend the Bahama House to anybody - just first class.

Exceeded expectations!
This was a family holiday with our adult sons and their partners. 8 of us in total. We wanted a place where we could relax, swim, have a large common area (inside and out), but where each couple could also have plenty of room for themselves.
This house didn't disappoint. Beautifully presented, with heaps of space. The pool was fabulous and well used. Just 3mins walk from the beach and a 30 minute walk down the beach to Port Douglas shops.

The Bahama House was a great location for a holiday for our extended family. It is very well equipped, very spacious and the pool was a great hit with all generations. The kids loved all the beach and pool toys, games and DVDs and having TV's in their bedrooms!
The manager Lisa was helpful and very responsive to a few queries we had.

Fabulous property
We have just come back from a week at the Bahama House. Plenty of room for 2 families of 4, beautifully done and the pool a big hit with the kids! Not too far out of Port Douglas, getting the shuttle back a couple of nights was good fun.
