While this was a great location for the beach, this condo was not the cleanest and the mattress/pillow needed to be replaced.

So glad we booked this last minute. We usually over plan and book a condo with full kitchen and more room. This trip we decided to just eat out and deal with having a smaller space. It turned out perfect. The location is idea. It's within walking distance to restaurants, the beach, the pool, the tram and parking. Perfect for our family of 3.

Pros: Overall nice resort, beautiful area. The beach was clean and gorgeous. Water was warm and pretty calm and we enjoyed swimming. Pool and hot tub were clean and very nice. We enjoyed the beach restaurant. I went for several walks through the resort area and it was very pretty. We felt comfortable and safe through our entire stay. Condo was exactly as the pictures portrayed. It was comfy for my husband and I. Negatives: Getting through the security gate the first time was a bit confusing, make sure you know the condo number. It was a bit confusing figuring out which building we were in. Rooftop sunset deck has a beautiful view however it needs a little work. Even though this was off season, the beach was VERY crowded. The bathroom could use some towel bars and hooks since you reuse your bath towels and aren't allowed to hang beach towels on the balcony. The owner was Very Responsive. We had one issue with the AC and she addressed it and had it fixed the same day. Overall, it was a nice place for the money and I would reccommend it.

Room was great size for two, well stocked kitchenette, and the bathroom was surprisingly nice. We loved the pool area, there was always a spot to setup. The tram was very convenient, we got lucky and landed a wine and shop (wine for free) week at the wharf which was a nice bonus. Weather was hit/miss and had purple flag days (jellyfish) but we were able to fully entertain ourselves with the pool and surrounding area/shopping/dining. We would definitely return. Biggest tips I have are: 1. Read the guestbook, 2. Make sure to know your room # when approaching the gated community so the guard will write your pass 3. have your 4 digit code ready for the gate to garage. Highly recommend!

If you are open to seeing the beach at a little distance from your window, and a short walk across the parking lot to enjoy the waves, this is the perfect choice. We had family next door at the Hilton (on the beach) and we wouldn’t trade. We had much easier parking, entry / exit, elevator access, and better Wi-Fi speed… Although their view from the room had more beach visible, our walk from the room to the beach was almost the same. The room is clean, spacious, and a perfect base to enjoy the area. Unless you require the additional resort amenities beyond a nice pool and cookout area, this listing is hard to beat. We will look for availability here on future visits.

Emily was an excellent host. She was very responsive and courteous. The condo was exactly as advertised.

Parking was a bit of a hassle. Was not noted that the height for the parking garage was 6’10 so with our truck the clearance was close. Also we were not able to open our patio door to enjoy the view from outside. The overall stay was great just wish I would have been able to enjoy the balcony. The room was very clean and bed was very comfortable. The walk to the beach is convenient and easy. It’s a nice place to stay just wish I would have been able to use the balcony and been given a heads up on the clearance on the parking ramp.

We had the most wonderful time at the Luau. The host Emily is amazing and was in constant contact with us. My daughter wanted to stay longer. Will definitely book again with a much longer stay!!

Property is perfect for a couple looking for a beach vacation. Emily is the best VRBO owner ever and will make sure you have everything you need. Always a great trip!

Didn’t like there was no concierge and you def need a car to get around the town. Also one day there was legit used paper towels or toilet paper floating in the pool and there is no one there you can tell. I would cleaned it myself but there is no leaf Catcher or anything. But overal a great time.

Location was perfect with in the Sand Destin property. Take advantage of the shuttle service over to the Golf Course and Baytown Wharf

The Luau location was great and the room was clean and comfortable. Pool access, beach access, laundry and parking were all very convenient.

We had an amazing experience! The room and property was well maintained. There was someone every morning cleaning the elevators and such. The space comfortably fit two adults in the bed and the a teen on the pull out couch. Still had plenty of space! Wake up with the sunrise every morning. The Walk to the beach was so fast! Emily was a great host and quickly replied with suggestions/answers. If you have a wedding at the Hilton this is right behind it and so easy to walk to! Will totally book again!
