Beautiful, spacious property with sea and marsh views stretching across to the harbour. Lots of space inside to spend time together or to relax on own. Super-convenient for the beach, town, or wherever you want to go in Southwold, all within easy walking distance.

Very comfortable property, lovely decor internally. Excellent location for beach, harbour and town with lots of lovely places to eat and drink. Very thoughtful welcome bag from hosts and really helpful clear guidance about the property and what to do when re domestic issues (bins, recycling etc). We’ve stayed here before and would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful few days at sandy Lodge. The house was spotless, comfortable, relaxing and just perfect for me , mum and 2 dogs. We hope to be back !

Cute house in a fabulous location. 10 mins walk to Southwold, 15 to the harbour and Walberswick. Beach on your doorstep, literally across the road.

Perfect location with peaceful Marsh views from the rear, luckily we enjoyed excellent weather. The house is full of character and stylishly furnished. However the standard of cleaning was very hit and miss. Both bathrooms were cleaned up to standard but the kitchen was another story. Dirty crockery and the baking trays are only fit for the bin. The beams and overhead fan were thick with dust. One mattress cover appeared to be blood stained. The deck outside the front door has a damaged plank which urgently needs replacing. Possibly an accident waiting to happen. Despite the negatives we enjoyed the weekend but would not return due to the issues mentioned above.

We overall loved our stay. Easy walk to the beach and into town. Definitely will come back.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Sandy Lodge. The property is in a great location, the dunes are straight across the road. The property is well stocked with everything you need.

Fab location right near the dunes and beach. You can walk into town easily and it's a lovely part of the world. However in the main bedroom, the double bed was terrible and the mattress urgently needs replacing. I have also never stayed in a self-catering place (in the UK at leas) that does not even provide e.g. salt and pepper, maybe some cooking oil (there was literally NOTHING). Not only that but doing that ridiculous being really stingy with the loo roll etc thing. I booked and paid for 4 nights for 4 people and we were allocated one loo roll and 2 dishwasher tablets! This is NOT what self catering means. And by the way the dishwasher is half size and pretty rubbish so yeah not great for when there are 4 of you actually trying to cook a meal.

We really enjoyed our stay, the light in this property is amazing with views to the sea from the front and common/marshland from the garden, also perfectly positioned for all amenities, we will definitely visit again.

Great relaxing stay in this very comfortable and well-equipped cottage. Perfect location by the beach and within walking distance of Southwold.

Very well positioned. Close to beach and dunes. Lovely bright and open interior with lots of social spaces and views out across the landscape.

Sandy Lodge exceeded our expectations regarding space and layout. Very useful & quirky front entrance porch (rocker chair so relaxing on a sunny morning) and huge Conservatory/dining room . Even though we had bad weather at times, this was no hardship with the bright, airy decor and comfortable sofas. The mezzanine levels were ideal for older children or as a quiet reading spot. (Think I might have been a little concerned had I got young children with the open plan upper levels & wooden steps though) The location is peaceful & quiet directly across from dunes leading to the beach which was perfect for dog walking. Great views to the back, and the best meal we had all week was at The Sail Loft pub which is only two doors down. Would also recommend the fresh fish/fish & chips from the Harbour, again a pleasant walk away. Hope to return and stay longer next time.

Great location and layout inside the property. Shame the front balcony doors didn't open to enjoy the view.

The sunsets from the back of Sandy Lodge are simply breathtaking, the lodge itself was lovely and the accommodation, very versatile. Southwold is delightful and there is plenty to do and see.

Marvellous location with the beach just across the road and the Sail Boat pub/restuarant 2 doors up. The house is quirky but lovely because it has such character. Beautifully clean, well stocked & with a secure enclosed garden at the back with birdwatching views. There's plenty of space(s) for everyone to enjoy and lots of indoor and some outdoor games making it family friendly. Great place for a holiday for all.
