Staying right on the lake was such a peaceful experience if you’re looking to get away and just relax. It was a quiet lake. Not a lot of boat noise. Very close to neighbors, but the closer one wasn’t there except for the weekend, and both sides were respectful. Not a deal breaker, just good to know if you’re someone who enjoys privacy. We had a blast. Most things people had suggested in reviews were addressed by the owner, who was a pleasure to deal with. You have everything you need to have a wonderful time. Water toys (2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards were the favorites), AC, games, wood sold down the road for $5 a bundle, crystal clear water, grocery store not too far away, and the house was beautiful. Loved every minute. Hope to come back someday.

An incredible house right in front of a crystal clear pond. Kayak, SUP, and floats helped us explore the water even on cloudy days. The lake was relatively quiet for a holiday week - not a lot of motor boat traffic. There’s not much shade around the cabin in the afternoon and with a couple of days in the high 80’s, it got quite toasty inside, which was a challenge for our napping toddler, however it cooled down at night. The loons were fun to watch and several neighbors had impressive fireworks display on the 4th! Layce, our host was super accommodating and quick to respond when we reached out. Overall a peaceful and charming location. Absolutely recommend!

We all had a great time, on a beautiful lake with decent accommodations. The blue paddle board has served out it's usefullness.

Bathroom wasn’t cleaned, no toilet paper was provided & we were stuck having to take our trash back home with us. Overall nice location.

Really great for families. Home is right on the water with a large sandy beach front. Kayaks provided. House itself is very open with nice deck and great view from the master bedroom. Would love to visit again!

The beach and shallow lake was perfect for our young children to swim and play, and we enjoyed the week relaxing by the water and using the water toys. That being said the cabin could use a thorough cleaning: the stove wasn't clean, and the oven was filthy, wouldn't use. The bathroom toilet paper holder was broken, and the bathroom paper shade needs to be replaced with an operable shade. Bathroom needs a good cleaning/update. We didn't realize until the last night there was a glass window behind the quilt in the bunkbed room which is definitely a safety issue for young kids.

This was our second year in a row staying here. The location is amazing and pretty quiet. There were six of us and we had plenty of room. We’re hoping to stay next year. Thank you for some great memories.

Won't ever forget this stay as I proposed to my now wife on the beachfront here. :) The neighbors are AMAZING and the lake is flawless. My wife and I kayaked using the neighbors kayak (very kind to share) all around the lake. Would be very nice jf the property had one for us to use! Paddleboards were broken, but luckily neighbors provided those for us as well. Also, it would be nice if the property stored some logs for the firepit. We had to buy them separately (again, from the kind neighbors, that has a honor system box you put $5 into in exchange for logs). The pros: Very comfortable bed, unforgettable view of the gorgeous lake right when you get up, the LAKE and views, being able to have breakfast on the deck right on the lake. Relaxing on the super comfortable beach chairs in the sun. Watching the stars at night. Great TV to cuddle up on couch and watch Netflix with popcorn after a day of hiking at gorgeous trails nearby (highly recommend seeing Diana's falls, Mount Washington/The Cog, etc). Wow. Whole experience literally perfect. The cons: The water smells very metallic (bring a brita filter if you wanna use it to cook), the heat was very complicated to work (it was cold one of our nights), the lights are wired very weirdly so you'll have to scavenge for which switch works for which light, the pots/pans are VERY scratched up and I would highly recommend the owners to buy new ones. Overall we loved the property, and the minor inconveniences didn't lessen our enjoyment. But we do recommend the owners to take note of our feedback to make some improvements! :)

Good and bad, the bad no heat we threw blankets in the dryer to sleep warm. Could use motion detector lights outside. Could not see a thing at night. Good .tv worked good, windows overlooked the lake. Nice deck. And beach area was sandy

This was a great property with wonderful amenities, like lake floats and life jackets. Super cute place, very spacious, and the neighbors were really kind.

Our family of 5 had an awesome week on the Lake! The place was sweet and we felt very welcomed by the neighbors on both sides. Great vibes and great times!

This place was awesome! Steps from the water, great setup, just enough space for our family of four and a guest. The front room did get pretty warm on the particularly hot days, but we made do with some strategically placed fans. We would definitely return!

What an absolutely amazing time we had! The location is nice and out of the way, the sunsets are incredible, and the firepit on the beach is a great touch! And, our friends got engaged while we were there which made it extra special! We will definitely be back next year!!

My husband, daughter and I really enjoyed our April vacation in this very cute cottage. The beach and water are steps from the front door. If you have small children this would be the perfect spot for a summer vacation. The three bedrooms each had plenty of room. The lake view from the dinning room, master bedroom and front deck cannot be beat. I would recommend this lake home and the price was very reasonable.

The house was right on the lake with its small private beach. The water was clean and shallow so our kids enjoyed playing in the sand and water. Highly recommend to someone who wants to come away from the daily hectic schedule. Host was very accommodating too.

We wanted to stay at a place that was right on the water and this was perfect. The water is your backyard, the people around were very friendly, the house was great. We all enjoyed fishing and relaxing on this beautiful lake. The whole process was easy which made our stay even more enjoyable. We will be back!

It’s a very nice place with a great view, if you’re looking to relax this is just a place for that! Lake is vey clean with warm water, even for someone who grew up on the Mediterranean coast. Nice neighbors, very quiet. Owner is very helpful and respond quickly to the messages. I would recommend this house!

The morning we left the owner informed me the handle on the screen door was broken but they “rigged” it so it could work ( elastic and string which lasted three days and then could only use the glass door so we didn’t break the screen and with no AC it got warm inside. When I arrived I learned I needed to take the trash to a dump 6.2 miles away. One set of neighbors has no divider so they are basically in your yard with you the other set of neighbors are not to far over with a fence in between so it is not secluded at all. The slide and dock don’t belong to this house it is not exclusive. The owner messaged me 3 day before check out to let me know the dump was closed the last two days before I check out so I would have to bring two days of trash all the way home in my car( a hour and a half away) I asked her if there was a different dump I could use she never responded. I wish I new about the trash situation, how close the neighbors really are and to know before booking that dock doesn’t belong to that house.

We had an amazing time at lake Ivanhoe! We were two families and had plenty of space. We were there during a heat wave and were concerned about no air conditioning - during the day the back of the house did get hot, but luckily cooled down at night. The big sliding glass doors provide a great view but allow so much heat in- if there was blinds or something that may help! Be prepared to get firewood (right up the road) and propane if you plan on using the grill- we wound up using the grill way more then we planned on because the thought of adding more heat inside with the oven made no sense. The sandy beach brings a lot of sand inside- we were constantly sweeping as the vacuum wasn’t really the greatest. Also there is a washer and dryer which I didn’t realize until right before & we were asked to bring sheets- just good to know so you can prepare properly. The lake is beautiful, truly a special place. So quiet and absolutely gorgeous. We rented a paddle board and had the best time exploring. The kids enjoyed using the slide, when the neighboring house had family over it was a bit awkward as it’s technically their slide-but our kids did have days when no one occupied the house next door. We spent the whole 5 days in our bathing suits enjoying all the lake had to offer and relaxing! If that’s what you’re looking to do this is the place for you. I highly recommend mckensies farm stand, worth the drive and such delicious produce, local beers, homemade pies and the pickles are amazing !

Finding a getaway that checks all the boxes can be tricky, but this property did it. Waterfront, but quiet, and residential, with wonderful neighbors. Very accessible and safe for children with disabilities; perfect space for a family or three! Check-in was so simple and Layce was in touch the entire weekend confirming that we were having a worry-free stay. We especially appreciated the shallow, warm, and clean water steps away from the home. We spent our final night looking at the property calendar for next summer for a longer stay.

Perfect family get away! The cottage was adorable and clean. It is clear that the owners have pride in ownership, we felt right at home. Enjoyed paddle boarding and fishing on the lake during the day and relaxing campfires at night. Can’t wait to go back again. Thank you Layce

Great for family bonding of all ages, my 6 children are between the ages of 2-23 there was something entertaining for them all. We brought our kayaks and spent much time on the lake kayaking and swimming, playing many board and card games that are provided by Layce, cooked on the bbq grill, made smores using the fire pit at night, my 2 yr old enjoyed playing in the sand. We enjoyed breakfast at Cindy's place, its an amazing little diner I recommend their homemade muffin with egg, cheese, and your choice of protein. Layce is a great host who was very accommodating. I highly recommend this host and this beautiful lake. waking up to the amazing view of the lake, listening to the beautiful sound of the loons is simply magical.

I recommend this house anyone who wants spend a peaceful weekend.

My family can not say enough about how much fun we had vacationing here. We were amazed everyday by the views of the lake, the sandy beach front, and friendly neighborhood that surrounds this home! We did not want to leave and definitely plan on coming back next year! The house is spacious and even allowed enough room for family to visit while we were there. The renter quickly responds to questions.
