Better than I expected, I booked this house to celebrate Christmas with my family, the house has everything you need and more we love it! Perfect location, super clean very organized We definitely recommend and we would love to come back on summer.

My family rented this house for a holiday weekend. It had everything we needed, was comfortable very well located to the lake. The check in instructions were thorough and clear as well as the other helpful notes around the house. I never received an email back about some questions we had prior to checking in but luckily those things weren’t so important. We had a great stay here.

Location was great. Kings beach is a cute town with good food and a beach! The patio and fire pit were amazing to sit outside and enjoy nature. The queen bed upstairs has a very hard mattress like sleeping on a box spring. Hard for a week stay The hot tub did not work

Beautiful home in a great neighborhood. The deck with a filtered view was a treat! The rooms were all as described. Would definitely rent again.

This was a nice location and the property was clean. Upon arrival we realized the neighbors are MUCH closer and the interior of the house is much smaller than the pictures lead you to believe. The property was lacking some common household items, so be sure to bring everything you need. Communication was slow as I had a few questions leading up to and on day 1 of our visit, but I never heard back. Don’t plan on sitting on the deck or in the hot tub after 10 pm because the neighbors will call the rent a cops without hesitation, which we found comical as we weren’t listening to music nor were we yelling. Literally just having a conversation with 2 other people. I get the feeling the neighbors aren’t happy this place is a regular vrbo. All that said, the house was comfortable and relatively close to the water. Could be a good spot for you if you go bed by 10pm or hate being outside.

Good place to stay

The common areas of the house were fantastic. Great deck with gas fire pit. Hot tub worked. Grill worked and clean. Nice big dining area and sitting area. AC worked. Other reviews commented on things not working but we had no issues. There is a small view of Lake Tahoe from the deck through the trees. Nice wooded location. We walked around the neighborhood loop which was great exercise. I’m not sure which beaches are walking distance…we had to drive to kings beach. But this a good location. The shoreline is definitely walkable and we met a long time resident who invited us onto his pier for a chat and swim. Celebrated my moms 80th birthday and we all had a great time.

This place was fantastic. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with our kids, family and friends. The house was in great shape and had everything we needed for our 1 week stay. Sarah, the property manager was excellent to work with. She was responsive and very helpful. Spending evenings out on the deck with the fireplace was so nice and every time we left the property the view coming down the hill was breathtaking. This house is conveniently located, close to many great restaurants, shopping and beaches. Thank you!!!

Unfortunately, Hot tub was not working.

We checked in on Sunday and we’re out by Tuesday morning. When we got tho the property, there was a weird keep that pulled up and watched us as we went into the cabin. Inside was nice, worked well for our multi generational family. There are 2 bedrooms upstairswhere the living space is and there are 2 bedrooms downstairs. Both upstairs bedrooms have queen beds. The downstairs has 1 room with a queen bed and the other bedroom has a bunk bed with a full on the bottom and a twin up top. This bedroom also has a day bed with a pull out trundle bed. On Monday morning our wifi was completely out and not able to be fixed. The coffee machine also didn’t work. There is not much service at this location as well as far as cell service goes. I contacted property management who said they would bring up a new coffee maker. I believe they showed up in a Lexus when we got home and sat in the same spot as the keep and just watched as our family unpacked from the beach. They didn’t make contact with us or replace the coffee maker. Other than the weirdnesss the property was nice.

Owner issues- 1) would NOT communicate with me AT ALL once she had my money. Sent multiple messages and no response. 2) Owner claims there is AC in listing, and even gave instructions on using Nest thermostat to use AC (in spite of the endless amount of other thermostats adorning the walls here), but the Nest only controls heat. There is one AC unit in the wall in the living room, and that is not sufficient to cool the whole cabin. Property issues- 1) dirty, dusty and dysfunctional mess. Random items are just left out in the open and many household functions did not operate (sinks didn’t drain, doors didn’t work, bear defense system that owner seemed more concerned about us setting so that her cabin wasn’t broken into didn’t work, hot tub looked like a hobo bathed himself in, fan in kids bedroom was so dirty that it wouldn’t operate and merely blinked “CLEAN” light, etc). 2) For what it’s worth, all of these problems would be fine if the property wasn’t outrageously priced for what you’re being granted. I’ve stayed in many VRBOs and this is the only place I’ve given a negative review for this reason. I will not stay here again.

Cozy little Cabin in the perfect spot on the North Shore!

Great location to the lake, peaceful and beautiful. They had amenities that you needed. It’s a great house but if you have toddlers/baby I recommend bringing a baby gate.

The home is beautiful and a great layout for large groups and gathering for eating and games etc. Downfalls: we found several black ants but it does appear the homeowners are trying to manage the issue. Several were already dead near the doors so they must be spraying. The downstairs thermostat is set to a very high heat setting making it uncomfortably warm at night and there is a specific note saying do not change the temp/setting. Opening windows was helpful but made for an inconsistent sleep. There were several large, decorative wall hangings, a couple were unstable and easily bumped, one had loose antlers placed on a ledge that fell off and bumped us in the head. No damage done but a minor possible danger. The coffee maker is not functioning. Positives: the jacuzzi was hot and ready to go! The was a little green which is likely due to the previous renters didn’t add shock. Appreciated that it was under a cover so it could be used year round. The master bedroom mattress was a sleep number and very comfortable! Rooms were spacious and clean upon arrival. Location was ideal and just a couple minutes from Kings beach walking strand and attractions. Plenty of parking if multiple cars are staying. Full wood walls and ceilings are cozy and a great vibe for a cabin getaway. I would definitely book here again. Location was private and space between homes was plenty.

I spent a great week in Lake Tahoe. The location was great for Skiing at Alpine and Palisades. Two minor issues. The coffee pot was broken and the hot tub was set to warm.

We loved staying here, wish our trip was longer, but we'll definitely be back. Check in and out was easy, everything was clean and very comfortable. Found everything I needed in the kitchen. Only issue I had was getting the coffee maker to work.... but that could have been user error. I especially appreciated that the driveway was cleared of ice and snow. Thanks again!

We rented this cabin for Christmas and everyone had a great time! The kitchen was stocked with cooking supplies, beds were pretty comfy. There were 9 of us and we fit very comfortably! The hot tub is great and there was plenty of yard space for the kids to play in the snow! Firewood was provided which was awesome but bring paper/ fire starters. The location is great! You can even see the lake which is only a short walk away, Safeway is right up the road as well! Definitely a great place to stay summer or winter!! Hosts were always great at getting back to be with any questions too! They also have a visitors book for people who stay to write something! My 11yr old daughter took the liberty and I forgot to read what she wrote! Lol Hopefully it makes sense! Thanks for a great trip!

The place was as described. My family and I liked the house and had no issues with it. It's in a nice location and the neighbors and neighborhood were nice.

Great stay. Easy, Great location. My only issue was it was very very warm in the house even with the air on and at night it was pretty uncomfortable. Otherwise the house was amazing. My friends and I had an amazing time. Thank you

This house was absolutely amazing. My entire family loved it and definitely plan on booking this home again. The kitchen had everything we needed , and the balcony was big and a nice area to hang out in.

Great time! The house was fully stocked and the view was phenomenal. I’d absolutely stay again. There was also a bear when we were there, but it was more fun than anything else!
