Communication was poor and led to some misunderstandings about the check-in time. Property manager would not return emails initially and I had to have an Icelandic friend call him to confirm reservations, check in process, etc. Water is not filtered in the apartment and smells of sulfur, while many other places do not have this issue. There were no blackout curtains in the main living area, yet they had a bed set up there, which made it difficult for sleeping. It was a great location to stay while visiting the capital but I would not stay again.

We had a group of 17 people and rented all four apartments. The parking underneath was a HUGE convenience! We made good use of the laundry and enjoyed the fabulous location.

Apartment was perfect, clean, great views and even better location. Parking on premises in the heart of the city. Fantastic responsive host, definitely would recommend and stay again.

Close to everything and easy to find. We had a group of 5. The beds were comfortable and Kitchen had all you need if you feel like cooking in. Communication was great, check-in was a breeze. Great place to have and then go out and see the sites of the town. I 100% recommend this spot to those with a larger group.

We had a great time in Reykjavik. The flat is located in the center, you can walk everywhere. In addition, it is equipped very well for cooking. Everything worked out great! Thanks again! :)

My family and I enjoyed this property. The location is great, walking distance to most things in Reykjavik. Property manager very organized and good with communication. The apartment was clean and updated. I would stay again!

We loved the location and having a kitchen and space to spread out after our 5 day driving tour. The apartment is nicely redone. Do be aware that the downstairs bedroom is less luxurious than the upstairs, perfect for families.

Comfortable and great location

The apartment was perfect for our family of 5 - four adults and one toddler. We ended up moving the mattress of the bunk bed to the floor so that we did not have to worry about the toddler falling, but we certainly did not mind doing that. The rooms have light darkening shades. The kitchen had plenty of appliances, dishware, etc. so we prepared our breakfast each day before leaving. Laundry dryer was a little more work than I am used to, but we were glad to have access. And the location was perfect - though I believe that most anywhere in Reykjavik would be perfect!

We loved the apartment with all the conveniences: well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, heated floors, big closets etc. Private parking spot and laundry room made added to the convenience of our stay. Highly recommend the apartment- you won’t regret it.

We, a family of 4, stayed in this apartment for a week. We enjoyed the convenience of location + private parking spot for a rental car. The place is right in the heart of Reykjavík closely located to shops, museums and restaurants. Apartment has all necessities: well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, lots of closet space and heated floors. Kjartan, who manages the apartment, kindly allowed us to check in at 9am instead of 1pm since no one occupied the apartment the day before. We highly recommend the apartment to anyone planning to visit Iceland.

We stayed here over New Years and had a wonderful time. The apartment is in a great location, has everything you will need for your stay in Reykjavik - kitchen pretty well equipped for cooking, clean, sunlit (for the four hours of sunlight!), and tasteful.

Our family of 5 spent 4 nights at Þórsgata Suite. Check-in was easy. We called Kjartan as we were leaving the airport, and he met us at the apartment and showed us around. The location was excellent, right across from the beautiful Hallgrímskirkja church and close to many great restaurants and shops. The apartment was spacious, clean, and well-kept. The decor was beautiful and the beds were extremely comfortable. We used the pull-out sofa and a cot (none of the boys wanted to share the 2nd bedroom) and even these were extremely comfortable. We didn't cook while we were there, but the kitchen is very well stocked for anyone who wants to cook some meals during their stay. The apartment comes with a parking spot, which is very useful if you are renting a car because parking in the city could otherwise be a challenge. There are several clothes washers and dryers on the first floor, which was also very convenient. We loved staying here and will definitely stay again if we ever return for another vacation in Iceland!

The suite apartment was modern, clean, and spacious. We were a family of five and it was more than perfect. It’s location in the city couldn’t have been better. The gentleman who handles the property was extremely polite and helpful with everything from suggestions about where to eat and what to see. My family and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. We did everything from sightseeing in the city to climbing a mountain to visiting natural wonders and visiting the Blue Lagoon. Everything was marvelous!

We are a family of 5, with 3 grown sons. Apartment was beautifully finished and the size was perfect for all of us. Only thing that could have improved it would be a second full bath, but we knew that going into it. Location is excellent too. At the top of the hill and a very quick walk down to all the shops and restaurants. Grocery store 20 yards away to stock up on basics. Kjartan the property manager is a really nice guy and willing to help with anything you need. Highly recommend.

Was our 30th time to Reykjavik and this was one of the nicest places we have seen there. Its in a great walkable location near the Church and is close to the best restaurants and clubs in the city, however just far enough that its not too loud at nice. Kjartan was a great host and helpful with everything we needed. The apartment was nearly new and in beautiful condition, beds comfortable and outdoor deck is awesome. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon. Thanks again!

Beautifully assigned apt - top notch bedding, great TV, heated floors, modern kitchen, amazing viewing deck with windows and ceiling panels that open like a convertible. Kjartan totally made our experience personal and custom. He welcomed us like family, arranged to and from airport transport, even asked for our grocery list so he could shop before we arrived. We felt like special visitors rather than tourists. We watched giant tourist buses rumble by and felt so special to have private tours. The Golden Circle is super with a local because there are unique stops and stories. Kjartan had pre- booked meals and spas which made everything seamless. We just put everything on a "tab" and settled up on the last day. Kjartan knew we really wanted to see the Aurora, so kept an eye on the forecast. On the last night, the stars were out, the skies were good for viewing and he very calmly drove us to the perfect spot for a spectacular, bewildering, mesmerizing display of sky phenomenon. Still can't believe what an amazing vacation we had!!!
