The property was clean, comfortable and in a great location. The property has everything you need to make your vacation comfortable and easy. There are many great restaurants nearby and lots of shopping options. Public transit is close by and easy to use. We will return to this property in the future.

Great apartment near Opera and Oktogom

The apartment is perfectly located and very clean. There are two beds, but not two bedrooms. One bed is a fold-out futon in the living room that isn't very comfortable. There was no detergent for the washing machine and we were told it wasn't provided. I'm not sure why it would be listed as an amenity if you can't use it. Overall, no major issues, but minor inconveniences that could be avoided with a proper listing.

Great apartment near Opera and Oktogom

Indeed, everything is in a walking distance, no need for a car. But if you with the car there is a available / free street parking over the weekend and parking house (affordable) some 100m away, same distance as the Spar / food market. The apartment was super clean – equipped with everything what is needed. We (family of four) stayed there 3 nights and not a single tiny thing to complain 😊 Also need to say, the host is almost online in response, answering on any question . So many thanks we really enjoy our short vacation there.

Location was great and the flat accommodated us well. Marble shower was dangerously slippery without a handicap bar. Linens were very good and the bed was quite comfortable. Would stay again.

Convenient location, spotlessly clean apartment, brighter than it shows on pictures. Piroska was very helpful in getting us situated and communication was quick and easy. Lots of little touches to make our stay easier. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Everything we look for in an apartment downtown in a major city. Property manager was very helpful and informative. Apartment had everything we needed and was newly renovated and clean. Great location for walking everywhere we needed and wanted to go.

We really enjoyed our short time in beautiful very modern stylish and very quiet apartment. Everything in the apartment looks brand new, and Alex's mother, who manages all the details, did a great job of introducing us to the apartment and the neighborhood. Definitely make sure that you visit her recommended nearby bistro 'Ket Szerecsen' and try their wonderful chocolate souffle, its worth a trip to budapest in itself. Also look up a wonderful nordic bakery called Nor/Ma over by kalvan square, their cardamon buns are also worth the trip. Budapest is a wonderful walking city and this apartment is perfectly placed to easily get to anywhere, just hop on the M1 metro that's only two blocks away. Definitely get a ticket and validate before entering the Metro station because when we were there there were ticket checkers at every station we went to, and they mean business. We highly recommend the apartment, the food, and the city a wonderful place to spend a vacation. Please note that you will need to sign forms when you arrive that commit you to paying up to EU450 if you lose the key to the appartment, I'm not sure this is enforceable, but a bit of an eye shocker when you first get to the apartment. Also if you decide to leave early in the day, you'll need to pay a EU15 fee to ensure someone is there to check you out, not extraordinary, but just something to add into the total cost when comparing apartments.

My son and I stayed at Alexandra’s apartment for three nights. The apartment is beautiful and spotlessly clean. We will stay again in the future. Thank you so much, Barry Robinson

Alexandra's vacation home is a clean, spacious, well equipped, centrally located apartment that is an easy walking distance to many attractions, shopping, restaurants and pubs as well as trains and buses. It's on the 4th floor however there is a lift. Her Mom met us on arrival and showed us everything in the unit. I would recommend this unit for both short and long term stays. I would consider staying again if we return to Budapest.

We flew in from Atlanta for the Hungarian Grand Prix where we were met by Alexandra’s mother, Piroska at the condo. She did not let our lack of speaking her beautiful language interfere with her telling about the accommodations by using the translator on her phone, such a lovely lady! Alexandra’s apartment is very nice and clean with everything you could want including a newly renovated bathroom which is beautiful! Air conditioning and washer/dryer were icing on the cake. My only regret is that we did not meet Alexandra, but after meeting her mother I can only imagine what a gracious person she is. The location worked well for us being in the “Opera District” we were close to transit and lots of wonderful restaurants. A very big THANK YOU to Alexandra and Piroska for such a wonderful experience!

What a perfect location for our 12-day stay in Budapest! We could walk to major attractions or take the bus, metro or trolley to get anywhere around the city. Shopping for a few grocery items and great restaurants--just around the corner. The apartment was lovely, very clean and well organized. We had all the comforts of home and at the end of each exhausting day, we would return to a very comfortable bed and a great air conditioner. And wifi was reliable and strong. Alexandra's mother welcomed us at the front door and gave us a thorough explanation of everything in the apartment and explained how things worked--modern appliances throughout and a beautiful, new bathroom. On our departure, we had an early morning flight and she was there again to pick up the keys and make sure everything went well for us. Communication with Alexandra before our trip was excellent. She responded immediately via email to our questions and provided us with any information we might need. We highly recommend this property and, if we have the opportunity to return, we will surely select this apartment as our preferred place to stay.

We had an excellent stay. The flat is located in a quiet street yet only two minutes from restaurants, bars and supermarkets. It’s a ten minute walk to the Danube iron bridge and ideal for sightseeing. The flat itself is well equipped for self catering if you prefer. The bed is comfortable, the air conditioning works well, and you can get English tv channels and WiFi. The welcome from Piroska and Alexandra was great providing information on restaurants, travel etc. So helpful. We had a lovely conversation with Piroska, using google translate when we got stuck. She has a good sense of humour and we laughed a lot. They are in the middle of adding things to the bathroom which is already a well equipped wet room. The shower screen will help with reducing the spray on the toilet and floor a minor issue. We will definitely book again if we visit Budapest.

The apartment was a wonderful place to stay. We were able to walk everywhere due to it's central location. The bed was comfortable, the shower worked great and the A/C was working well. The only thing we did not like was the sofa/futon. It was very uncomfortable to sit on. Everything else was great.

My husband travels to Budapest frequently and usually stays in a hotel. I travel with him occasionally, and this time we decided to look for an apartment so that we could do our own cooking and laundry. We wanted an apartment on a high floor near one of the metro lines. Alexandra’s apartment was perfect! It was great to have a home base after busy days. The apartment building is on a quiet street, but it’s very near to Andrassy Út, two metro stations, and a major tram line. Grocery shopping is nearby, as well as many restaurants and cafes. You can also easily use public transport to reach various tourist attractions in the city. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook full meals. I was able to stock the kitchen with what I needed from nearby grocery stores and the city’s farmers’ markets. And, importantly, the cooking vent works very well--so the apartment doesn’t retain the smell of what you just cooked. We like to pack light, so having a washing machine was great. It was nice not having to use a hotel sink. I was able to do a small load or two every few days on a quick setting. The clothes dried quickly on a large drying rack. The apartment’s air conditioning worked very well. We were there in early spring but experienced some unusually hot days; the AC cooled the rooms very quickly. Our son was able to join us for a few days toward the end of our stay. He used the sofa bed, and it was comfortable (he’s 6’1”). On our first day, Alexandra’s wonderful mother met us at the apartment to explain how everything works. She was available via phone and email if we had any questions during our stay. And we thank her for coming so early to the apartment on our final day, as we had early flights. We’re happy to have found Alexandra’s apartment and look forward to returning!

We just returned from a three night stay in Budapest and we could not be happier with our stay in Alexandra's apartment. When we booked the apartment, we honestly had no idea just how perfect the location would be for us. It is just a block away from the Alexandra Bookcafe (you must stop in for a coffee and pastry!) and the Liszt Ferenc Square which is lined with a variety of restaurants (Menza is fantastic!) and bars. A 10 minute walk will get you to a variety of Ruin Bars, 20 minutes walk to the Christmas Markets, and 35 minutes to Buda Castle. We never needed to take public transportation once! What makes this a 5-star plus rental was the wonderful hosts, Alexandra and her mother. Alexandra was so patient with us throughout the booking process and made everything very simple. There were no hidden costs and everything was spelled out very well in the rental agreement. Alexandra's mother met us at the apartment and spent so much time with us walking us through the entire apartment and making sure all our questions were answered. We had to catch a very early flight on our last day and she was very gracious to meet us for a 4am check-out without any complaints. My only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer! If I ever return, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Alexandra's place. It's just around the corner from a great square with outdoor cafes, a two-minute walk from a major metro and tram line, and a very short walk to restaurants, groceries and shopping. The apartment is well-furnished and comfortable, the kitchen is well-equipped, and we were thankful to have the air conditioners during some warm summer days. It can be difficult to find a quiet place to stay in a big city, and this place was incredibly quiet and peaceful. Alexandra and her mother were helpful, patient and accommodating both before and during our stay. We would highly recommend this place!
