When Pigs Fly is a fantastic property! It's so roomy and comfortable, well kept and clean. Half of our party is already looking in to renting it again. It's a great, quiet location, close enough to beach access and shopping, but far enough away that you aren't directly in the hustle and bustle of it all.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, everything was perfect a bit pricey but very nice. Might need to update the furniture sooner than later but nice. Have to watch parking meters and speed limits are very tight!

The property worked for us, but was not quite as nice as the pictures seemed. I did not realize before we got there that there would be no way to access the upstairs unit without using the outside stairs. Therefore, we were a little more separated from the rest of the family than what we were hoping. The location was nice. It was within walking distance to the beach. I appreciated that they had a wagon and beach chairs/sand toys that we were able to use. We were able to walk to the beach even with 6 children in tow. I would have preferred to be on the beach, but this was a good compromise. It was a close drive to restaurants/stores/attractions. There was a pier within walking distance that we were able to fish off of. The reason I’m only giving 3 stars is bc the pictures make it look far nicer than it was. The floor was dirty. My daughter’s feet were black from walking around barefoot. The floor was taped down in some areas. The bathtubs and showers really could use an update. We could tell that they had been cleaned, but they were stained and looked dirty still. The upstairs bathtub is jetted and was very discolored. I would also recommend some new pillows. My husband and I struggled with the pillows and stuffed beach towels underneath them. I also would have preferred to have some rooms with bunk beds or twin beds to accommodate children. It was tricky to sleep them in full size beds.

Both kitchens were updated and gorgeous. We had everything we needed for the week. The king bed in the upstairs unit was very comfortable. The private pool was fantastic. We do not have a pool at home so that was an important reason we chose this rental. The location to the beach is a little farther than I would have liked. Just walking to the beach to go walk the sand was fine. However, when you are going to have a beach day with all of the gear necessary for that, it is too far to carry everything you need. We loaded everything for 7 people into my husband's truck and he drove us to the beach, we unloaded and he drove back to the house. There is public beach access but it was going to cost $15 a day to park there. My husband didn't mind walking back to the beach each day. That's how close the house is to the public beach access.

Very clean. Close to the beach. High quality cook ware and plenty of it. Plenty of plates, cups, silverware. Very clean pool with plenty of rafts and pool toys.

We loved our stay. It was our first family vacation in 3 years-since my husband, their dad and pa had died. We missed him a million times because he would have loved this house and pool. The youngest grands had a blast. The only thing we were disappointed in was the distance to the beach and no sure access. We had to go through yards of other properties and we thought we had an access that was closer. The house was perfect for our 5 families and babies. We had a great time.

We loved the property, the private swimming pool and access to Gulf Shores restaurants and stores. It was a short drive to Publix and Walmart. I loved that they had a storage area full of floats, beach toys and a wagon to use. This helped so much. The house was beautiful but in need of a few improvements (ice machines didn't work, deck was in need of repair, lamps didn't work, etc) We vacationed in August, very end of the summer so I assume they wait until the summer busy season to repair all things. But overall was a great rental - we would book again! The communication with the property owners was top notch! Leading up to the trip they were very quick to answer any questions I had. While on property they were quick to answer as well or send maintenance when needed.

We had an enjoyable time at "When Pigs Fly"! The littles really enjoyed the pool, the older ones enjoyed the beach. Great location, closed to many venues! Enough space so that everyone could spread out, too!

Wonderful stay in this roomy upstairs downstairs place. The pool was especially nice given the heat of July 4 week. A couple of items in our unit needed addressing and the management was prompt and fair. Please note that there is only one king bed in each unit. Lovely porches with southern exposures. Great stay for our two families. Close to restaurants and attractions and not a bad walk to public beach accesses. Thanks

I’m typing from a phone so bear with me and my possibly grammar. Overall an awesome place. Pro - Nice house. Clean. Some pool items left there to use. Pool is nice. Kitchen good. Close enough to beach (10 minute walk). Beach not too overly crowded. Ice machine upstairs. Tracy, the manager, very nice. Called an hour into our stay asking about air mattress and she had it handled in 2 minutes. That was the only call the whole week. Would I go back if we go to gulf shores, absolutely. Cons - Walk to beach was easy but a few blocks away (10 mins). Would be nice if there would have been a path to cut through neighbors houses. No biggie. Pool would get hot but that’s not anyone’s fault but the sun. Could use more plates, accessories in kitchen but there was enough there. Not enough of a con. BBQ unusable though. Rusted grate and in rough shape. Made friends with neighbor and used their Weber. Ice machine upstairs was not taken care of properly. Arrived and open door to ice falling everywhere. Later that night found the tray that is supposed to be inside, I’m downstairs unit stored away. Cleaned out ice machine and inserted tray. Awesome after that. Check in was about hour late. Didn’t get in until 5 but that’s ok. At 445 cleaning crew let us in upstairs as they finished downstairs. That was nice. Overall I give it a 4.5 / 5. Would have recommend.

We had a blast at this property. The pool was a great way to refresh during the day. The kitchens were well stocked and beds were super comfortable after a long day at the beach. Overall a wonderful stay! (The beach chairs/cart were a wonderful addition too!)

Very nice, wish the floors were connected so conversing with family members would be easier. We very much enjoyed our visit. The pool could be cleaned more often it was pretty dirty all week.

We reserved the full property (both upstairs and downstairs) for our group of 9 from June 10-17 Just the facts: 1) House was immaculately clean. 2) Easy beach access 3) Well furnished: comfy beds, plenty of outdoor seating, big TVs in living rooms and bedrooms 4) Pool was nice and warm without the heater 5) Extra refrigerator at the ground floor for storing drinks and food while at the pool 6) Lots of pool toys, beach chairs, etc. 7) Fairly quiet area compared to Beach Blvd, but close to restaurants and shopping. We had great communication with the owner. Everyone in our party loved the property. Highly recommend.

My only issue was the AC on the first floor. It did go out during our stay, someone was sent quickly to repair it. But it never really cooled the floor off again.

Beautiful property and great location! Perfect for a large family vacation. We had an issue with the hvac system while staying and the property manager was extremely helpful and got the problem taken care of right away! The property was very clean. We loved our stay here!

House was really nice and clean. Pool was a treat for the kids, just wish it would have been filled to the top. The walk to the beach was 7 minutes. After all week it was tiring walking there. Overall beautiful place. Only thing I would say is maybe more bath towels and kitchen. Tracy was wonderful and very helpful.

Very nice property but definitely needs some repairs on decking and railings. Some of the deck boards are loose and many of the balusters were either loose or detached. Quite a few low quality repairs made on the deck rails ect with exposed screws that scratched you if not careful. Most of the inside of the property was very nice and updated except the panels on both refrigerators did not work or dispense water. As for cutting between the houses for beach access that was a no go with stickers all along the path. The beach access was quite a walk especially for small children so we drove them to the public parking area across from the beach access pathway. Having the heated pool was a lifesaver with the Temps dropping so low and the cool winds. The kids loved the heated pool. Overall a fun vacation.

Everything was as stated. However, the property needs some work - floor issues, ceiling leaks, fence broken, etc. It's a great property and we might be back. But we'd have to know that it's been given some attention before paying that price. Also, we were thinking about staying an extra day and I talked to someone on the phone and texted the number provided twice and got nothing so we didn't stay. When the lock wasn't working, I did get an immediate call back which I appreciated.

The stay was amazing! We loved the pool and the area the home was in. We did have some issues with the air and the refrigerators not making ice which limited the frozen drinks alot! But the host was very quick to send maintenance even if they could not fix the ice situation. They did get the air corrected very quickly. I highly recommend this place. We hope to return someday.

The property was fantastic for a large group. We had 11 adults and two dogs. The yard was very wet and the dogs kept getting in the mud, so that was a little disappointing, but overall I’d stay there again. The floors were sticky, but we expected that at the beach. The rest of the house was clean and neat. We ended up driving to the beach with our stuff and then walking to the public access as we couldn’t see another access point, but everyone was okay with that. The pool was nice and we used it daily. We ate at a lot of good restaurants and enjoyed every minute of our trip.

We loved this house, and the location. There were 15 of us, and we spent 90% of our time in the pool. It is such a nice, large area to hang out in. The interior has been recently updated, and was lovely.
