Had such a great time!

Had a great and simple stay in this property while in Charlottesville for the weekend. Check-in was slightly complicated when my assigned door code didn't work, but Stay Charlottesville was quick to respond with a working code. The property was exactly as described and the added bonus of the garage space was fantastic, especially with the heavy rain that came in on our final day (loading up the car while dry was a great bonus). The only minor recommendation I have would be for the property to have a another cleaning pass beyond the routine floors, countertops, and bathrooms: there were a few locations where dust and cobwebs had accumulated. The floors, Countertops, kitchen, and bathrooms were all spotless, just needed another once-over around the areas that don't get attention as much. Overall was a great experience that I would recommend and would stay again.

We enjoyed this property . The amenities are modern, but there is a hint of country-living that makes this place unique. This place was perfect for a quick weekend getaway to taken in the local wineries.

We stayed here over Thanksgiving visiting our daughter. Since her apartment did not allow dogs, this was perfect. Great sized kitchen. I did bring a few of my own pans as I read some were provided. Access in and around Charlottesville was great. Having a garage space to use was a big plus. It was raining when we arrived and it made it a lot easier unloading our car. Only thing I would recommend that could make it even better is to have a small chest or bench in the bedroom for the suitcases, and a toilet paper roller on the wall so that you didn’t have to reach behind you for the roll in the basket. These don’t impact my rating, only small things that would be helpful. Very nice place. Better than a hotel.

If your kids can handle the sofa bed, this is a great stay for Charlottesville. Located near downtown but outside of a convenient walk for most downtown attractions etc. Good option for Charlottesville and would repeat.

Property was great, super clean and modern. Great location, 5 min from downtown mall 5 min to stadium. It was quiet and great. There were a few spiders in the unit we had to kill and webs we had to knock down, but other then that It was very clean. Would stay again!

Lovely private carriage house close to downtown and close enough to UVA. Great deck in the tops and lots of privacy. Bills as 2 beds, because of a sleeper sofa, but the sleeper sofa is a bit broken down and not comfortable for an adult. Terrific option if you don't need the sleeper sofa.

We really enjoyed our stay but the rocks at the entry way are loose and need to be stabilized. I tripped entering the building and don’t want it to happen to someone else. Otherwise, this was a very clean, charming place to stay.

This was such a cozy, clean space! It was also in a great location, close to everything we wanted to do.

Th property was as advertised - very convenient to the downtown mall and highway. Private, quiet balcony on the second floor of a carriage house. Clean, updated furnishings. We could have walked to the mall area but due to a foot injury we drove each time and had no problems finding parking. The access code we were provided didn’t work, but the owner came to check on us while we were trying to open the door and gave us his code. Otherwise we would have contacted Stay Charlottesville to resolve the problem. As noted in an earlier review, the first evening there was a sewage smell that we noticed a couple times when entering the apartment. It went away and we didn’t notice it the rest of our stay. One out of reach areas could use a cleaning (bathroom fan, top of fridge, cobwebs on ceiling) but overall a nice place.

Loved everything about the place, except maybe the hard-to-reach cobwebs ;) Great location! Felt like being in a tree house - quiet, forested, and perfect for 2 people. Had everything we needed, and a wonderful place to return to after hiking, sight-seeing, or hanging out downtown.

A girlfriend of mine got out of town for a few days a visited Charlottesville. We really enjoyed our stay, Very clean, an option kitchen that was well stoked, great deck out back, comfy bed. It was affordable and perfect for 2 or 3 or a couple with kids. It was a short drive to any restaurants we wanted to go to and we walked a few times too from the house. Thank you

The location was excellent via car - not so great for a pedestrian. the rental is above a garage behind another rental property, and the access is through the storage/garage, which is having a bit of a drainage issue. once inside the property is fine - very basic, as photographed/described with minimal eclectic furnishings that show wear. Mgmt was responsive upon arrival when our codes didnt work, but not responsive upon departure when we couldnt figure out where to put our trash. its fine, but I wont be coming back.

We loved our stay at the Carriage House. It was quiet and very cozy. We felt right at home! When we got there, the key code didn’t work, but I was able to get ahold of someone right away that gave me a different one.

We loved our stay at the Downtown Carriage House. It is warm and charming, very well appointed with great layout of kitchen, family area. The deck is private , where we enjoyed breakfast everyday. We will definitely return for future visits to Charlottesville.

Dishes were not very clean. :/ I ran them a second time in the dishwasher and think that it may not work very well. There are LOTS of spiders in the garage. They were wonderful!

The Carriage House is in a great location, very close to downtown and an easy drive from any place that isn't walkable. The house is very nicely decorated, comfortable, with a modern kitchen and bath. Although we were there in the winter, we were able to use the large deck a couple times on warmer days. Everyone was great!

The carriage house was exactly like the photos, so no surprises in the living space. Even though it's behind another property, it feels very private. It almost feels as if you're in a tree house when looking out the back of the property. I love the antique writing desk, drafting table, trunk, and artwork. Checking in and out was a breeze. The neighborhood is residential and very calm/quiet, which is what we were looking for. The property is in an awesome location less than a mile from Downtown, a few miles from the Monticello area, and about a mile from a Wegmans shopping center with several restaurants. Leah and Elaine were both very communicative and sincere (Leah even popped over on her off time to investigate an issue while visiting her family nearby). I appreciate their responsiveness and dedication to solving issues.

The design of the Carriage House was perfect with a very nice kitchen, tv room, bedroom, and bathroom. Very cozy and comfortable. Clean and neat. Very close to the hospital and fairly close to the lovely downtown area. Very private with a great backyard if you bring a pet. We will definitely book this location again. I spoke with 2 people over the phone before we arrived and they were very helpful.

Very nice one bedroom carriage house apartment. Beautifully decorated in a way that made you feel right at home. Quiet neighborhood. Easy 20 minute stroll to downtown mall where there are excellent shops, restaurants and bars. Email and phone contacts all went smoothly.

Really enjoyed our stay - some information on popular local restaurants & attractions would have been of help rather than taking pot luck on google. Also coming from the UK it was difficult to determine if it is safe to walk back at night - some guidance on this would have been helpful

Had a great weekend in Charlottesville and enjoyed the villa. Inside was great except no sheets for pull out couch and no response all weekend from the property manager. In addition, there was a really bad smell in the garage below which faintly came upstairs into the living quarters.

The walk to downtown mall is about 0.5 miles. Easy walk. Noticed grill on deck needs cleaning.
