We stayed here as our home base for our hiking days. It was such a joy to come back and enjoy the front or back outdoor sitting areas and enjoy the mountain views. The interior decorations and comfort of inside were exceptional. We enjoyed having Pandora available. We were too enamored wire our place to waste time on TV! Our place was clean and kitchen utensils and personal items were all nicely available. We loved our stay!

Skytop is amazing, a work of art! Beautiful hilltop location. Our favorite time each day was sitting on the patio in the morning and evening enjoying the quite, just birds singing in the background and deer grazing near by. So peaceful.

The home was perfect for 4 of us, and even better than expected, as the many prior reviews have noted. Very calming and zen like after a long drive. Listening to the Rhythm and Blues Festival from the home’s patio was a bonus… Early a.m. coffee on the patio included deer, chipmunks, and a gorgeous view. Michael was very flexible and accommodating. Would love to return…

Skytop was an incredible property! We stayed three nights and loved every minute. The views are incredible, there is wildlife just outside the front deck and the cabin is close in to the town of Winthrop and just a short drive to the Eastern edge of North Cascades National Park. Our host was friendly and responsive and the cabin was well stocked with anything we could need. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

My mom and I traveled to Cascade National Park for an early birthday celebration. The place was minutes from downtown town Winthrop. The house was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The own is very accessible by phone, email, and text.

Privacy is exactly it here. Quiet and lots of solitude. Perfect! Charming place and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The views! Wow!

We were very happy with our accommodations. They were very spacious and comfortable. We had space to park several vehicles. You could sit outside, in the sun or shade depending on which side of the building you chose. The metal exterior and interior accents very novel and added to it's uniqueness. A deer visited us several mornings. We were out of town but yet close enough to walk there. Everything was provided to make our stay as homey as possible. Could of used a water hose to clean off the dust off our bikes at the end of the day. By no means a deal breaker. Would rent it again for sure.

Beautiful home and property with all the amenities you need. The location is perfect, just a short walk into Winthrop and short drive to Twisp and Mazama while still feeling quite remote. Michael is a wonderful, communicative host and the property was spotless and very well equipped with dishes, cookware, and pantry essentials. This was our second stay and we plan to be back frequently, highly recommended!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this property! It is an absolutely gorgeous home with stunning views. It had everything we needed, was warm and cozy, and close to town. Micheal was easy to communicate with and an excellent host. We look forward to coming back next year!

What a wonderful and unique property! We were so impressed by the communication from Michael, and enjoyed so many aspects of our stay in this very special house. Heated towel rack in the bathroom, spacious shower, comfortable bedding, views in every direction of snow covered mountains, spacious quiet property but within walking distance of Winthrop downtown, loads of great books and games, gas fireplace, and beautiful art featured throughout the home. We drive an electric car and the ability to charge was a huge help for us and yet another a reason we would come back to this property. Our two sons stayed in the treehouse, which was separate enough for them to sleep in and have a little bit of space, with a separate entry outside the house but very easy to access. The temperatures were incredibly cold during our visit (our car registered -21° one morning!) - but the house was cozy and warm throughout. We will be back, and send our gratitude to Michael for sharing this special home with our family.

Mix of artsy, modern, and cozy unlike anywhere we've stayed. Great central location for exploring Methow Valley. Had everything we needed and nothing we didn't, communication with host was simple and easy.

This was our third time at Skytop, and it still does not disappoint. It's great for couples (one bathroom). The kitchen is well-equipped, and it's a wonderful space to cook and enjoy a meal together. There is a porch area with views up the Methow Valley, and it's just a short walk to town. Love everything about this place!

Skytop was amazing. The cabin is clean, comfortable and the most interesting place we have stayed. Michael was a great host and easy to work with. . We hope to return to Skytop and stay a little longer.

Skytop was most enjoyable for its comfort, quirkiness of design and the mountain view’s from every window. My husband and I appreciated its accessibility as he uses a wheelchair. It’s spaciousness, especially in the bathroom made it easy for him to manipulate his electric chair. The location is private yet close to Winthrop which is a fun but busy western town. If you like repurposed art and furniture you’ll surely enjoy the imagination present at Skytop.

Everything about our experience at Skytop exceeded our expectations. Michael’s artistic eye has helped create one of our favorite VRBOs. Close to town and centrally located, Skytop is in the perfect location for grabbing a quick bite to eat in town before launching on your day’s adventure—be that swimming at the confluence or conquering Maple Loop trail. Enjoy Skytop! You would have to work really hard to do anything but that!

From the moment you drive up to this house, you know you are in for a special experience -- the views, the architecture, the unique furnishings. The house is super clean, the bed (and the sofa bed are comfy). Outdoor seating in the front and the back of the house allow guests to enjoy both sunrise and sunset. This was a truly memorable experience.

We enjoyed the location, the privacy yet closeness to walk to town and walk and explore around the house. The house was very well kept, everything we needed provided and the views from inside and the patios allowed us to enjoy ourselves and the view. Defently worth a return visit!

Skytop was the perfect home base for our adventures in Winthrop and Mazama. Everything was clean and tidy, and the views were unbeatable! The EV charging was so convenient. We loved relaxing by the fireplace at the end of the day. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Staying at Skytop is fantastic. It is very spacious and the view is spectacular. It is an easy walk to Winthrop and yet you feel very remote from the rest of the world. It was a perfect place for a base for the last of the XC ski season!

We really enjoyed everything about our stay at Skytop. It is very close to downtown Winthrop, yet feels like a very remote location. Magical sunsets, birds and deer in the yard, skiing very close by, and the house is great: comfortable and functional, but at the same time very visually interesting. Loved our time there!
