Beautiful view and nice accommodations. Are planning on possibly staying again.

Needed a big house for our family coming in town for a family gathering. Perfect house for us and great communication with the owners. Want to come back in the summer!

The house was clean and as described upon our arrival. The check in process was seamless. The deck was perfect for our group to hang out and the short walk to the beach was really nice even though it was early November. We stayed as a convenient location between Chicago and Notre Dame and it worked perfectly for our group. Fluid Coffee Roasters is a great coffee shop in town be sure to check them out. Thanks Colin!

great house for a big group, not the best when temperatures are below freezing though, some rooms get cold inspite of the heating system

The house was in a great spot with a nice view of Lake Michigan from the deck. The living room/dining room/kitchen area was great for a large group of friends celebrating a 60th birthday. Plenty of seats and space at the kitchen table. We also enjoyed the fire pit in the back We were very surprised and overwhelmed when we realized there was no other way to bring all our stuff for the weekend into the house except to carry it all up over 30 very steep steps.

The property has plenty of room for a big group. The host was very accessible and helpful. There are ALOT of steps to get to the front door ..35 to be exact, only negative!

The only thing wrong with this vacation was that it was not long enough. The house is lovely and spacious, The views of the lake are great, coffee on the deck was sublime, sunset on the beach was even better. Just be advised that there is a significant climb up concrete steps so people with mobility issues need to look elsewhere. The house sleeps something like 14 or 16, and even if you had that many people, the house and decks (yes, deckS) give more than enough space that you wouldn’t feel crowded. Can’t say enough, great vacation spot.

We were so excited to stay in Michigan City and even possibly rebooked for next year. The pictures advertised are old. The house was run down and not clean at all. The router was broken, so no TV, or internet for our extended weekend. We did not feel comfortable replacing the equipment and asked for a repair to happen. It did not. Even worse, a toilet ran and ran and did not flush, the beach equipment promised was dirty and broken, the outside of the kitchen cabinets were sticky with dirt. We were given only one key. I took pictures of all of this stuff. As a long time Vrbo renter, I was very disappointed and expect the host to reimburse me for some of my money. This has never happened before and I’ve rented in multiple states.

We had two families staying here together and had plenty of room for all 11 of us. The basement has been finished and the bedroom and sitting area down there is nice. There was room to spread out. It is a short walk to the beach across the street and we could watch the sun set over the water from the deck. There were some sand toys, beach chairs, and other items already at the house. We enjoyed the fire pit in the back. One issue we had was getting the temperature comfortable. When we arrived it was so hot upstairs it was almost too hot to sleep up there. It was a little cooler upstairs the next day, but it was still warm upstairs while freezing in the basement. This is an older house with it's quirks, ie. doors can be hard to open, stairs are narrow and steep. There is a steep flight of stairs from from the street parking up to the house, so be prepared to carry your things up/down the stairs. There was only enough dishwasher or laundry detergent for 2 loads, so make sure you bring more if you're going to run the dishwasher/ washer more than 2x. Overall, we had a good time. We would recommend bringing fans for the upstairs.

The lake house had everything we needed for an enjoyable weekend stay. I'd love to come back in the summer when it's warm enough to sit out on the deck.

Nice place with great view of the lake and walking distance to the beach. The stairs to access the property are at least two stories and we didn't realize from the pictures. We had some seniors that we challenged.

Home was large enough to accommodate all of us. Decks, fire ring area, and side yard provided additional space. Always shade somewhere! There were towels provided but we were glad we brought more. The beach was a short walk from house. Beautiful beach! We had so much fun! We could enjoy lake and sunset views from property

Good location, several useful items in the kitchen, convenient check in/out. Walking distance to the beach was great. The house could use some updates, but was great for just a short stay.

Large space. Beautiful view. However, the 6th "bedroom" is a large musty closet in the unfurnished basement (there is no photo of it in the listing); The kitchen had crumbs on the stovetop and dirty handles on the microwave and refrigerator (we had to wipe it down ourselves. Did not appear that the $175 cleaning fee was appropriate.); the dishwasher did not clean the dishes (Owner later said it should be run on "pots and pans"); we did 1 small load of laundry and ran the dryer on 2 cycles but the clothes were still damp. When we asked the owner about the cleaning and appliances, he said he would "look into it," but he never responded. Would not stay here again.

We were able to all stay together after my dad’s memorial service. Beautiful view of the lake and plenty of room to hang out.

The overall stay was good, the property owner was very responsive and the description was spot on. Would stay again.

This home has everything you need for a picturesque beach vacation. Just steps away from the beautiful beach at Stop 11, this house atop a dune offers unrivaled views of Lake Michigan. We were able to comfortably seat 10 people for dinner at the large table on the deck, backlit by spectacular sunsets. The home was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen comes fully equipped. After the sun went down, we sat around the fire in the back yard, complete with enough chairs for all ten of our guests. Check in/check out was simple and straightforward. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer—I will absolutely rent this house again next year. I hope all future renters enjoy this home and it’s amenities as much as we did—it was certainly a birthday celebration that will be fondly remembered for years to come.

We had 7 adults staying with us at this large home. The sleeping and living spaces were very comfortable for all. We loved the outdoor spaces as well. There is a huge front porch, a great 2nd floor porch and a fire pit out back. Highly recommend!

House was perfect for 5 guys new to the Michigan city area and in town for some great fishing. All amenities are as advertised. Property owner communicated clearly and accurately. Wish we would have stayed a week. The house could hold a couple of families.

We spent one night over thanksgiving break. It was short notice and the owner was quick to respond and very accommodating. Although we didn’t spend much tine in the lake hose, it was clean and functional for our big family. I’m sure it would be a blast in the summer months!

Plenty of sleeping space for our group of 10, and plenty of outdoor deck space for eating and viewing. We cook our own meals, and found the kitchen lacking in equipment, etc for this purpose: for example, the only measuring cup was a single half-cup. Nine forks only, though it sleeps 15.

Nice location and layout of house. Would only advertise as 5 bedroom, no one felt comfortable sleeping in basement bedroom, so one couple slept on couches☹️. We were left with only a partial tank of LP for 2 grills, with short stay, no time for running around for LP. Had to eat meals in intervals🤨! Otherwise, short walk to awesome beach and vacation was enjoyed by all.

The house was very clean and welcoming upon arrival - there are a bunch of new remodeling upgrades that have been done to the house, so that was a nice surprise! The front deck is fantastic, we spent a lot of time relaxing on the lounge chairs. We were very happy with our stay and look forward to returning!
