Very cozy house with many amenities, beautiful views and a great atmosphere. We spent most of our time in the water while at the house. Very friendly area and a friendly neighbor who we enjoyed chatting with. Beautiful spot on the lake. We especially loved the fire pit on the little beach by the dock. We had a fantastic weekend and definitely plan on coming back again!

We had a great weekend getaway at this property. The host is great to work with and the property was just as described. It’s a great location on the lake. She has kayaks, a lily pad, floats and other lake toys that are available for you to use if you like. We rented a pontoon and jet skis so we didn’t use them but it’s a nice touch having them available for guests to use. There’s a double slip boat dock which is great if you’re bringing your own boat or renting one or just to swim off of in the lake. It’s a nice quiet little neighborhood on a dead end road so there’s not a lot of traffic. The neighbors we met were all very nice and friendly. The house had everything you could need or want in the kitchen and extra linens and pillows. And more than that one “standard” roll of toilet paper!! 😂She provides little extras like soaps and makeup remover wipes which is a nice touch. The host goes out of her way to try to make your stay at her property the best it can be for you. We would definitely return to this lake and this property again. I’m ready to go back now!! Everything about our say was perfect. One of the best spots on the lake with gorgeous views of the Shawnee Forest. Beds were comfy, house was clean, and great outdoor spaces including the patio, fire pit and dock. We enjoyed use of the kayaks and swam off the dock. Vickey was an excellent host and always in contact if we had questions!

We love this lake house. Our family all live or has summer homes on Lake of Egypt!! We get to come from our home in Florida & visit with everyone!! Boating, swimming & fires by the lake are all special times!! The outside patio overlooking the lake is a great place to gather!!

We wanted a location that would allow us to explore the Giant City area, the Cypress Swamp, as well as the Garden of the Gods / Rim Rock preserves. Everything was within an hour and we had a blast. This house was very clean and cozy, which was great to return to after long days of exploring. Fishing off the dock was great, as was resting on the patio area. The kitchen was well-equipped and the bar was a nice space to eat breakfast while looking out at the lake. There were many games and movies for evening family fun. If you need to stay connected, the wifi is very reliable. The upstairs bedroom with winding staircase was appreciated by my daughter; she felt like she had her own apartment! This bedroom would not work well for a person with mobility issues. Vickey is a kind and responsive host; we would stay here again and recommend this home to others.

We enjoyed an end of summer family get away and couldn’t have asked for a better location. There is something for everyone - kayaks, fishing supplies, fire pit, games, and of course the lake! Beautiful views from the dock, which we enjoyed every morning with our coffee. Vickey is very helpful and quick to respond to messages.

This was our first time to Lake Egypt we had a great time! The lake is beautiful and Vickey our host has a great place right on the water. The house has everything you need. We had an issue with the AC one day while there they had it fixed within a few hours and that was on a Saturday. The host and her son are very accommodating to their guests. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I booked a sort of last minute trip. This property was perfect. Nice and clean house with great patio and dock all with great views! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

The couches were so comfy. Shower was great fancy toilet and super clean. Now the backyard was to die for I spent alot of my time back there if my husband would have let met bring the couch out I never would've went in. The lake is all around you and the magnificence of nature is abundant. Seen alot of wildlife and just watching the beautiful water and trees were amazing so peaceful. The neighbors also were a god sent blessing to our stay and pixie oh my pixie I could go on and on and on about this place but I think u get my drift. This place was spectacular and the host is truly an angel and I hope her life is as blessed as she made us feel. If you want a all around wonderful get away this is the house for you and yours......

The Lakehouse was great, lots of room, big kitchen. Outdoor patio with grill and firepitt & seating area right on water. The area is perfect for us, family live close bye. We have found the perfect spot when we come from our home in Florida to by.

We had a great week of fun, sun, boating, fishing, swimming, kayaking and more! The owner, Vicki was very nice to deal with, if we had questions, concerns, no matter what, she was quick to respond. The cottage was beautiful, updated and clean. She had all the amenities, we truly didn't need to bring a thing, except our food. Even the shed was immaculate and filled with all the necessities!
