The location was great. Close to the shopping area, restaurants, bar, etc. The hotel was neat and had a nice garden. The food was great.

Poor pick up arrangements from the airport.

Good location, and a very good breakfast. Nice rooftop, tho there is nothing but a couple of chairs. Simple rooms.

Lovely garden to sit out in for breakfast. Great views over the city from small lounge area on floor 6 (the floor my room was on). Relaxed there a couple of times with a cup of tea.

Moonlight is on a great location. The dining and bar facilities are beautifully kept and the place a cheerful, busy but relaxed vibe. This is the second time we have there and will again if we return to Kathmandu.

Nothing

We stayed for five + nights at this hotel. It is one of the cleanest nicest hotels we have stayed in India or Nepal. The rooms are cleaned every day and the bottled water left daily is very convenient and helpful. Wi-Fi also works well Complimentary personal care kit in the bathroom also. Air conditioning and shower also work well and the water pressure is good. Laundry service available. As is a local guide map Breakfast includes cereals, fruit, bread, pastries, coffee, tea and national breakfast dishes also freshly made omelette of your choice. Staff in the breakfast room are very attentive and it’s well run. They have local beer on tap and a good dinner menu. Location is ideal for the markets and restaurants of Thamel and is walking distance of Durban square. Taxis are available outside the front door and the concierge will help too. Have to make a special mention for the reception staff all speaking good English, accommodating , pleasant and willing to help. Especially Namgayl, Bari khanate,Arbin and Putnam and Kristila. Hope I’ve spelt the names right!. Well done to the manager in choosing his staff wisely.

A small point, although the rooms were cleaned daily the floor was only swept which resulted in grubby feet/socks if the complimentary sliders were not worn

The room was good but after changing twice. The ones with twin beds and balcony are good but they were not offered inititally even though I had upgraded and paid additional amount. Eventually got one. Breakfast was good too and wholesome with varied items. The hotel is basically for tourists/back packers who typically stay for a night or two and move out to other locations. For them all facilities and amenities are available.

The reception did not offer the room initially booked (upgraded). Only after protest the chosen room was provided the next day. The hotel should follow the exact configuration for which the room was booked and paid for. The hotel rooms even though well managed lacked study table for working executives. One had to move aside coffee and Tea sachets, water bottles and kettle to create space for laptop connection. The location of hotel is good for tourists/back packers who do not know the city and using the hotel as a transit point for onward movement to other tourist destinations or those who are happy to be in the vicinity of Thamel area. The location is not suitable for executives or people with work agenda in the city. The location is rather remote even though Kathmandu is a small city and one has to navigate traffic jams to reach there. Those who know the city will find the location inconvenient (I am one who knows the city well having stayed here for a number of years)

Hotel has a big rooftop where one can enjoy amazing views of Kathmandu. Buffee breakfast is delicious.

Not the absolute best location but good enough.

The hotel breakfast was a nice, changing mix of foods during the days I stayed there. However, the hot buffet food was mostly not hot as intended, and often times less than warm. This is a real hygiene and bacteria risk but could be easily managed if each bay Marie/hotboxes had the small flame unit under each box checked often during each breakfast to ensure it stays alight to keep the food warm. If it goes out the food cools, is less than ideal and a health risk. The last thing anyone wants is to not enjoy the nice food, or to become sick because it was left to go cool.

Great customer services. Beautiful garden, amazing room. I will.definitely stay here again and again :)
