We were very pleased, when we arrived we were greeted warmly. The room was lovely, clean, warm and the furnishing charming. We only stayed one night because we were flying home the following. We wish we had had more time.

Our friends booked out the whole complex as the location was perfect for us. The check in lady was welcoming. The room although older was clean. The room was warm when we arrived which was great. It was very nice to receive an email prior mentioning food options in the village. We dined at the Bealey Saturday night [we had booked] but were self contained for everything else so no problems.

It was a fully equipped place with everything you need. A large trampoline for kids and a great view. The place is very cozy and relaxing

A very peaceful location and they provided lots of information about the walks and what was available in the village - even before I arrived so I was prepared. Really nice soap, shampoo and conditioner provided.
Initially I thought the room heater wouldn't be up to the job - it's just much quieter than I'm used to as the room was nice and warm.

Heater was on for our arrival which was a pleasant surprise. Room was spacious for 2 adults and two children. Great location to be able to explore what Arthur's Pass has to offer!

Located near train tracks/station - it would be OK as there isn't much train traffic, except that some heavy duty work, that includes moving locomotives, was done late into the night (past midnight) on both nights we stayed there. Hence, falling asleep/sleeping was difficult until the activity ceased.

Our group had 2 rooms, the complex has several 2 room blocks, so we had our own "section" with 2 car parks for 1 mini van. Good seating area in the lounge.
Other rooms had more limited parking. Beds were a little firm. Bathroom lighting was a bit limited. Highway adjacent to hotel so occasional vehicles passing in the night were a little bothersome. Luckily no trains went by during the night, as the line is also right outside & can be clearly heard during the day.

Located fairly close to the village centre. The owner provided useful information on local amenities which we could not have found from other sources. Parking was right outside our bedroom.
Road and railway noise meant we had to keep windows closed at night.

The location was absolutely great. It is next to mountains, next to the highway, very close to cafe and shops. The room had a kitchen set up with all amenities. We walked to the river and waterfall next to the station. It was beautiful. The beds were comfy and bathroom was great too.

Motel had good kitchen, gas heating, comfy double bed, lounge suite & chairs & table in main living area. Bedroom with twin beds, nice painting on wall. Very comfortable. Fi & staff were very accommodating. Would definitely stay again. Views of mountains behind. Lastly interest in the amount of trains going through.

Great owners, heating that works. Good size, and a short ways away from the center.
You could feel and hear the trains. Does not bother us and it was fun but others may dislike that. Small TV and appliances are rather old.

Very clean, good bed, fab shower excellent Wi-Fi. Our host was extremely helpful and because he liked my bubbly personality he upgraded us to a superior room. Real good Kiwi hospitality.
Noisy. Unfortunately freight trains were shunting and going through the night. In all fairness it wouldn't matter where you stayed in Arthur's Pass you would experience the same noise.

We enjoyed our stay at Arthur’s Pass Alpine Motel. It was warm, clean, and comfortable. Also it was very convenient to have a kitchenette as restaurants were limited and/or closed early. Fi was personable, welcoming, and very helpful with information and hike suggestions.

Close to the train station and the Old Road trail. Kitchen with stove. A real fireplace. Large glass windows for view of mountain and railway from the living room. Veranda seating area. Friendly and helpful host drove me to the town center to catch the bus. No credit card transaction fees.
