The beef dinner is very good. The beef itsvself is the highlight of the meal. The room is amazing with a beautiful onsen. It's worth the money for this special unique experience
I couldnt get the coffee maker to work. But I didnt ask either.

Superb!!! Modern, well designed, beautiful aesthetics, extremely clean. There are public hot spring baths (separate for women and men), and private one in our own room (all natural, iron-rich). Room (or rather, apartment) is so spacious, and view from the room and from the onsen in the room is gorgeous, overlooking trees / small forest, air is clean, everything is in immaculate condition! We added dinner option which was about 22,000 yen for two people - totally worth it: it contained multiple (maybe 8 or so!) courses, served in the privacy or own own room, including a very generous portion of Shabu shabu beef. Highly recommended tranquil stay with beautiful aesthetics and surrounded by nature! I wish we stayed longer - we had to catch a bus the morning after at 6am
Everything was perfect! The only drawback is that check in is quite late - 3pm, the dinner is served from 6pm and lasts 2-3h, so in the end there is not so much time to relax and enjoy the facilities. Earlier check at midday at least would work much better so at least people could spend a day there.

Wonderful facility in a great setting. The staff were fantastic, attentive, friendly, and extraordinarily helpful. I would strongly we would strongly recommend this place for a couple of days stay in the lovely Japanese Alps.

This was our first ryokan experience and Mozumo has certainly set the standard pretty high for us. We had booked a room with a private onsen. The onsen overlooked the forest and the facilities in the room were also top notch. The food and service by the staff was excellent.

Paradise. It embodies Japanese refinement with special attention to the smallest details. The room was beautiful , comfortable and having our own private onsen was a big plus. The staff was outstanding bending over backwards to please. The kaiseki was grand , the food was delicious. The gracious lady who served all our meals went to great length to explain every single ingredient and course.

The stay at mozumo was definitely memorable and will come back to in the future. The staff was super hospitable as she insisted on carrying our heavy luggage inside. The staff even wiped down our luggage as it was raining outside. The private onsen was amazing as offered privacy and convenience for us. The food was delicious!
The facility was smaller than expected so we quickly it didn’t take much time to explore all of the amenities. We had to travel out to the city of Takayama as we had a car with us which was convenient.

Splendid experience. The zen environment was breathtaking. Staff was very friendly. Really love the traditional Japanese Dinner and Breakfast as well as the open air bath.
Would be better if we can order snacks or food during non-supper hours.

Service was excellent! Staff were very helpful. We had no problem with communication even though none of us spoke Japanese. The place is very beautiful and quiet. It is a very good place to relax and enjoy the onsen.

Beautiful inn in tranquil setting very close to bus station so easy access to the ropeway and walk to waterfall. Staff were so friendly even without much English but better than my Japanese so arigato gozaimasu. Fantastic meal featuring Hida beef including raw. Exactly what I had hoped for in such an onsen experience, including private hot spring.

Everything was perfect. Excellent service, wonderful rooms with private Onsen, very good meals. Comfy and quiet. Loved it!
