We had a very nice stay at Sanda's. The location is very good if you want to take pictures on the Coconut Hill - you can literally check from the balcony if it's crowded or not yet ;) There's a great beach next to the place with turtles! The size of the room was enough for us and we really enjoyed delicious breakfasts.

We spent two nights here and loved it. The hosts are very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was amazing! The hotel is tucked away in a quiet corner near the coconut hill, so you can enjoy the calm but also join the crowd at mirissa beach (10min along the shore). Near the hotel (1min) you find a good spot to snorkel with huge turtles. The hotel even lent us two snorkelling masks for free.

the room was swept daily and we had a decent balcony which allowed for interacting with other guests.

the daily cleaners missed the fact that there was a termite mud tunnel coming out of the plug socket and, when an invasion of termites began to crawl into the bathroom I had to deal with it. it was there for at least two days before this occurrence so there was plenty time for the cleaner to take care of it. the shower isn’t the best. the hot water is powered by a 3w heater which means if you want any substantially hot water it comes at the sacrifice of the water pressure. the owner didn’t feel like she was truly happy to have us and when I asked for a recommendation for a vegetarian restaurant she arranged a tuk tuk to take me to a seafood restaurant out of town which ultimately lead to me having to pay for a second tuk tuk to take me to a restaurant with vegetarian options back on the town. the breakfast was very hit and miss. one day we had eggs which were somehow burnt on the bottom and raw on the top.

The place is very close to cocomut hill and the view of the balcony is really good.

- The room which we have stayed is too dark and it was only possible for us to stay in the room when the lights (mostly door) are open. - Sometimes it was difficult to stay in the room in the daytime because there was little weather in the room. Since Mirissa is very hot, I’m not sure if this issue is related with the hotel. We kept our door open and AC to make us comfortable. - Breakfast was ok but not fantastic when we compared with other places we stayed in Sri Lanka.

Right next to the coconut hill. To the main Mirissa beach it is like 10 minutes walk via beach or via road. Lovely sea-view from the terrace/balcony. Nice and clean bathroom. The owner manages to organize us a reliable taxi to the airport during curfew so big thumbs up.

The location is amazing with a small beautiful beach just outside the hotel and a chill sunset bar right next to it. The host is lovely and really took care of us. I was working remotely and she arranged with an extra desk.

the beds are a bit shorter than usual. Im 1,80 and that was fine. but if you are taller than 1.85 they are a little short

Great location with a view on the Coconut tree hill and just a few steps away from the beach. Rooms face the beach, the noise of the main road cannot be heard at all.

The hotel doesn't have a generator which can get uncomfortable during powercuts

It is situated on the beach line - you can hear the ocean at night. In the morning you can admire amazing sunrise and fishermen - they ask for your help - and if you agree, make sure you are ready for this hard work, it’s not for fun))) the hosts serve the best and the most delicious breakfasts we had during our visit to Sri Lanka. Highly recommended.

It is situated right by the Coconut Hill and you can enjoy the view of it either from your room or from the terrace. The location is very good - there are a few small beaches with trees within 3-5 minutes walk, where you can easily hide from the sun and swim with turtles. It’s not overcrowded there. Very relaxing. Not far from the cafes and main beach. The breakfasts are absolutely delicious, variable with tasty coffee and abundance of fresh fruit. And the family who runs the place are very nice and helpful and supportive people. It’s a very good place to stay in Mirissa.

Lovely little hotel located at the quiet end of Mirissa which we preferred. All the staff were so friendly and helpful (they helped us with laundry and a driver) and the breakfast was delicious and very filling.

I would have loved a Sri Lanka breakfast one morning but that is only a very minor point!

The owners were very nice and we had the best fish ever - butter fish, prepared by the owner. The breakfast was also very tasty. The hotel is very close to the Coconut Tree Hill and 2 small beaches, as well walking distance from the mail beach. I highly recommend this place! Good quality and price.

The staff were lovely and the place was very clean and bed very comfy. The room had a fridge which was handy. We needed transport to our next destination and the owner kindly arranged this for us.

It was located close to a restaurant which played music all day and into the evening. We were looking for a quiet place and wouldn’t have booked this place had we known about the music but in the end it didn’t bother us when in the room as with the AC on, we couldn’t hear it. We didn’t use the balcony much due to the music.

The hotel is small, cozy and the room clean.

Arrival at the location is done through an alley full of garbage, burned or follow to be burned. Noise all day long till 10 pm from the bar nearby. The ,,quiet room'' doesn' t exist. The balcony view was ocean and Coconut Hill but also the garbage of the neighbors and not only. The air conditioning and the ventilator make noise but not enough cold. The breakfast time from 8.30 to 10 am cannot be followed every day and no compensation or desire to do it from host. The hotel has no direct access to the beach.

Great Hotel, would stay there again!

Clean, good food, helpful and accommodating staff. Goal was to go whalewatching, that was close. No problem to get transport or tuktuk. Owners helped with transport to Colombo, answered all questions we had.

The bed was way too short. I'm 191 cm, and my legs hanged outside. To make matters worse, there was some wooden thing attached to the end of the bed, which hurts the legs. Should be OK if you're no taller than 180 cm.

Hotel is near Coconut tree hill witch is a must visit in Mirissa (tip: better visit at sunrise because there will be no one). Rooms are very big with a splendid view. and exceptionally clean. There is good AC, confortable bed, minibar, safe, kettle, laundry service. The owners are such lovely people with a very good vibe. The place itself reflects the people that take good care of the property. Mirissa public beach is 10 minutes walk but you can always find tuk tuk’s near the hotel.

We’re so glad about our choice of this hotel! The room is very cozy, clean and well-equipped. The owner is a charming woman with great English. We enjoyed everything during our stay: welcome drinks, nice communication, delicious breakfasts! The location is perfect as it’s close to Coconut Tree Hill, you literally see that even from a bed😍 Be ready to see the best sunsets here :) Beaches and restaurants are also around so the location is really good and quiet at the same time. We’re grateful for the hospitality and wonderful emotions we had spending New Year’s Eve days here :)

loved this place, the view of coconut hill and the sunset are incredible. The staff are really friendly and helpful and quick. It was probably the cleanest place I have stayed in Sri Lanka, really good value and a very filling breakfast 👏
