We had a great stay. The house is very conveniently located. We didn’t use the yard but we cooked every meal at the house. My husband and I took the front room because it’s near the front door. The small en suite bathroom worked well for us and the kids shared the hall bathroom which has the double sinks. The whole family enjoyed our stay!

The house was spotless when we arrived and has a very nice layout. Everything we needed was provided. A 5 minute walk takes you to a beautiful little park on the beach. Diane responded very quickly to our emails and was very gracious regarding a last minute change in our plans. We'll be back!

The property is located in one of the best neighborhoods of Sarasota- only 20-min drive from Siesta Beach, 12-min drive from Lido Beach, 6-min walk to the Ringling Museum and the Shoreline park, making it a great location for evening walks to see the sunset, wonderful palm trees and marvelous million(s)-dollars homes in the area. We found the house very clean, the open plan and 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms was perfect for us. There is a screen porch in the back- nice area to sit in the evenings. Backyard has a grill and a hammock, but we did not use it- too short of a stay. Checkin was flawless- basically it is a self-checkin. Communication with Diane - the owner, was excellent- she answered all our questions quickly and effectively. Home is fully equipped with everything you need to have a great vacation- linens, pillows, towels, kitchen appliances, washer and drier- everything you need. Of course, you should bring your shampoo, toothbrush and paste, and other cosmetics :) Do not forget the sunscreen (the higher SPF the better- it’s South Florida). We loved the place, we loved Sarasota and the beaches. We’ll be back, for sure. COVID-19 related: very few people wear masks in public places. On the beach- zero people wear masks, which is probably OK. Siesta Beach was crowded- we did not like it, and therefore spent the rest of vacation on Lido. I think nowadays less popular beach is a better place to spend time by the water.

Our stay was wonderful. The neighborhood is great and we had everything we needed during our stay.

We chose this home because it was pet friendly and looked to be in a quiet location. It was delightful. The fenced in back yard was great for our dog, she spent the whole two weeks keeping squirrels and lizards out of the yard. We mostly spent our time on the screened in Lanai to enjoy the weather. The house had everything we needed, the airfryer was a welcome addition. Less than 5 miles from Lido Beach and a short walk to the Bay Park where sunsets were gorgeous. Definitely recommend this place!

Amazing neighborhood, quiet and secure. The house was just the right size, very clean and all that was needed was provided. The owner responded to all concerns we had and was extremely helpful and gracious, we will definitely stay here again when in Sarasota.

We enjoyed it so much , we have rebooked. Everything we needed was there. The only issue we had was the beach chairs. They were fold ups on the ground and not quite comfortable for us. Our dog was entertained daily by the squirrels. Plenty of room and management got a grill in place in a day, when we notified them there wasn’t one there.

Loved our time in sapphire shores. A great community and nice size house with large yard was perfect for our family which included two dogs. About half a mile walk from the ocean and close to everything else in Sarasota. House is a bit old and could benefit from some minor updates. We had to bring almost all of our own kitchens accessories for our longer stay.

We had the absolute best time in this vacation rental. The owner and property manager were so kind, helpful, and accomodating. We stayed for a month while we looked for a permanent home in the area with a newborn, 2 small kids with autism, who can be quite challenging at times, and a 7 year old and there was plenty of room for all of us. My husband relocated jobs from another state and I knew it would be a transition for all of us, but our stay here couldn't have went better. We loved the backyard, the neighborhood, and the location of the home. It is close to so much. We went to the jungle garden and ringling playground weekly and there was a neighborhood park where my children caught lizards in the sunset and met new friends in the neighborhood. The beaches are not far and there is a bayfront park downtown with lots to do for adults and kids. The red tide was bad for our stay so we didnt go to the beach for long while we were there, but thay didnt stop us from having a fantastic time. There are pleanty of pools and even a small water park (sun and fun) not too far, for very reasonable daily passes. Dont pass this one up. You wont be disappointed!

My husband and I and 18 year old son spent 3 nights here and we had a great stay! It was spacious enough to spread out. Good neighborhood and easy walk to the Ringling and Asolo Rep. short drive to beaches and kayaking.

This house was perfect for the four of us. My mother & I each had our own bedroom and shared a bathroom. My sister & her husband had a room and a bathroom for themselves. The house was clean and included all amenities. Only one criticism: the bedroom with the bath in it (not considered the master bedroom) has a bed that is less desirable. It is only a double bed and dipped in the middle, not real comfortable for 2 people. My sister slept on the couch in the living room which she said was very comfortable! We did no cooking during our 6-day stay, but the kitchen seemed well stocked with cooking equipment. The water is not filtered, so we purchased bottled water for drinking. We walked down to the park by the water and observed some sea creatures, but our trip was concentrated on visiting relatives in Sarasota & Bradenton, so we didn't spend any time in the neighborhood, but it is a quiet neighborhood close to many attractions. I would recommend the house to anyone.

Stayed here for a month when our new construction home completion was delayed. Property was retro as advertised. Dan, the property manager was very responsive to calls - cable was out so after hubbie's 45 minute call with Comcast, they identified the problem to be an old cable box. Dan stood in line the next morning and picked up a new one. Although that solved most of the problem, intermittent connection loss still occurred which was annoying in the middle of the program but we just put up with it. Wi-fi worked fine. House more spacious then it looks and beds comfortable. Although the towels and linens had been washed and the kitchen cleaned, all of the floors in the entire house clearly had not been swept or washed in a long time so I did have to go out for supplies to do the job - lots of dirt and dog hair. The light is dim and the tile is brown so easy to miss at first glance. Also, had to clean shower and bathtub mold. I did notify the owner after the fact and she said she would request a deep cleaning which will likely remedy the problem. We absolutely LOVED the location - close to downtown and to Ringling Museum which over the course of 3 visits, we managed to experience in it's entirety. Neighborhood is lovely and a short walk to the bay-front mini park where I enjoyed the gorgeous sunsets. Loved the views during my daily 5-mile walks!

Overall, this was the perfect spot for us, walking distance from the Ringling Museum, where we attended the four-day Ringling International Arts Festival, and walking distance from a lovely waterfront park, where our Cairn terrier, Walter, got to meet several local dogs. (He also enjoyed the property's big back yard, which was securely fenced so we didn't worry when he went out to explore.) We discovered a tiny ant problem in the kitchen when we arrived, but the maintenance man came by very soon after we told Diane about it and after he did his magic, ants were no more. (Dan also helped us figure out how to turn on the TV.) The kitchen was well-equipped and roomy with a separate dining area, the screened-in back porch was a pleasant place for morning coffee, and the big living room, three bedrooms and two baths offered plenty of space for ourselves, another couple and another friend who stayed part of the weekend. Definitely the ideal spot for RIAF attendees, but also just a short drive from downtown and its restaurants and cultural attractions.

Spent the month of March in this wonderful neighbourhood. The house exceeded our expectations. It seemed much larger then it appeared in the pictures. The screened lanai was wonderful and the fenced backyard was great for the dogs. The neighbourhood is awesome. Upscale and very safe. Will definitely book this home again. Thanks Diane!

I am a Veteran who has stayed at VRBO s for over the past 10 years and never left a bad review or had anyone complain about us. While doing Work in Sarasota we stayed three months at this Retro home. Retro means Goodwill! All old beds appliances old linens and towels! Dishes are mix match, old and cheap! The last month of us staying there they never mowed the lawn and it was a foot high! The day before we were to move home cleaners came and tried to get us out of the house a day early because of a early new tenant the next day.The next morning the cleaners came early again and cursed us out for not being out by 9 am. Our contract read 11 am. They stated that they had a 2 pm check in and had to get us out and cursed and screamed. We were out by 11 and wrote to the Landlord about her cleaners. Landlord lives out of state and never was by during our rental. She said the cleaners gave her a terrible report about us and she was going to file a big insurance claim because of their report and photos. I asked for the photos and never received them. House was left clean and neat. I got the insurance claim and it was trying to replace all their junked out retro appliances that never worked and old blankets for large prices! Also trying to get more for cleaning when house was left in good shape.We have stayed in dozens of Vrbos over the years and never had this type of trouble.Don't stay here! Save yourself the trouble! Stayed June,July and August of 2016. Sorry for it! Update:Landlady sent 3 photos after a month of harassment after check out that showed a fridge needed to be wiped and a stovetop needed to be cleaned off! She is filing claims saying old retro appliances need to be replaced that never worked!!!!!! Warning. Don't Stay Here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
