The property was immaculate and extremely well appointed. We enjoyed relaxing on the back patio. The beds were comfortable and the condo was modern with high-end finishings. The condo is a short walk to the Rathtreaver Beach and the Black Goose Pub.

We had a wonderful time staying at Carol and Terry’s place. The rooms were very comfortable and the unit fit our party of six (three generations) perfectly. We loved the green space outside for the kids to play and the adults to lounge. The kitchen and BBQ were gourmet. The beach access was easy and so close. Thanks for a great holiday!

Condo was immaculate and wonderfully located at one of our favourite spots on Vancouver Island. Wonderful walks, great weather, outstanding pubs, restaurants and bistros. Great shopping close by and a kitchen that was fully equipped and great appliances for home cooking and or barbecuing on scenic patio! We all felt very lucky to have found such a treasure and look forward to returning.

Disappointed that there is not actual pool or hot tub access as indicated in the listing.
There is an option at a neighboring resort complex but you must pay a drop in fee. I would suggest the listing be updated to reflect this in order to limit disappointment for families.

We stayed in this modern clean retreat home that was very spacious for six adults and one child. Very well equipped with plenty of everything. Carol was extremely helpful and answered quickly if we didn’t understand something. The beach was cool at low tide and walked out for a long ways. Lots of stuff to see and visit close by. Owner of the condo was easy to communicate with. Condo was nicely appointed and met all our needs. We appreciated use of the wagon, beach chairs and extra sand toys. Location can’t be beat!

What a beautiful place to stay! The property is modern, clean, well-stocked and feels luxurious. The location is fabulous - we appreciated the proximity of the forest that borders the property. Although the beach was close, to our surprise the grassy area right out back was a huge hit with our kids - a real bonus for families. We would certainly recommend this place to others and would definitely return.

I would give 11 out of 10 for our experience. The place was well equipped and we can tell that the host put a lot of thoughts to give the guests their best experience. We have stayed in a number of vacation homes in Parksville and this stands out to be the best. Location is within few minutes walk to the beach. Carol was very kind and took the time in answering all our questions.

The unit is stylishly decorated with original pieces and local artwork. It is immaculately clean, well stocked and maintained. The attention to detail is exceptional. Every need has been anticipated and provided for, including custom handmade soap, and gear for the beach. Responsive, generous hosts went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and that enjoyment. From the minute we walked in the door, we loved our stay! The beds were super comfortable, we had loads of space, were less than 5 minutes walk from the water, and Carol was available the whole time we were there just in case we needed anything. Can't say enough good things about this place!

Very elegant property with a view to a huge yard that made meals very relaxing. Very well stocked, there was everything we needed for 4 adults, games, magazines, plenty of towels, beach stuff, utensils, kitchen stuff, you name it. Super close to the beach, its among the best properties in the Tanglewood. I would definitely want to stay here again. Everyone in my family of 4 adults enjoyed it.

This vacation home was perfect for our family vacation. The apartment is one of the best equipped vacation homes we stayed at, with high end amenities, an impressive selection of spices and kitchen utensils, and much more. It was spot clean and the decor was beautiful.
The location is very convenient, only steps away from Rathtrevor Beach. Beach chairs, a wagon, sand toys, and much more are provided by the hosts and made the beach stay even more fun.
Carol was a wonderful host and we would definitely stay at her vacation home again.

Everything was amazing! Our trip to Vancouver Island was everything our family needed for spring break. Carol was super helpful from booking to check out and the Tanglewood property was a piece of beachside paradise! The condo is perfect, well organized with amenities of home and comfortable! Beds were comfiest I have slept in which was needed after spending 4 days beachcombing and exploring the oceanside. It was hard to leave but we will return for sure! Thank you Carol - top notch!!

The beds were perfect and the place was spotless. Carol was easy to communicate with and responded quickly when we had questions.

My mother, daughter & I had a fabulous time, visiting family and friends we haven't seen in 4 years due to Covid.

Amazing
This unit is truly incredible, the owners have thought of everything!!! The kitchen has top notch appliances/kitchen tools.
There are also many spices and condiments, so before you go grocery shopping check to see what is there as you may not need to buy it. The patio is spacious, with lovely patio furniture, and being ground level proved to be a bonus as the kids added space to play on the grass.
The locked storage bin has beach chairs, toys, most things that you would need to take to the beach.
Carol is absolutely fantastic to work with.
This is our second stay at this condo and I certainly hope to have more stays in the future.

Amazing Condo, great location!
This property was very modern, extremely relaxing and was in a great location. The kids loved the local artwork. Carol and Terry were great to communicate with, and the meticulous attention to detail in the design, decor and provision of both higher end everyday conveniences was second to none! We especially enjoyed our morning coffee on the patio with the peaceful back yard, and got to see rabbits, squirrels and hummingbirds. With only a few minutes walk to the beach where we got to see hundreds of small crabs, sand dollars, jellyfish and even a few seals, this was a perfect first time family visit to Vancouver Island!

Wonderful condo, great location!
What a lovely condo this was in a nice quiet community. Within walking distance to the beach, but the hill is relatively steep down, so if you have mobility issues, you might not be able to walk there.
The beds were comfortable and the shower was great with lots of pressure.
Carol was easy to contact and enjoyed chatting.
We would highly recommend this condo to anyone traveling to the island

Stayed there with our two adult children to celebrate a birthday. Very comfortable living space, nicely furnished, bright, well stocked kitchen with everything needed to make meals (groceries excluded, of course) and a 3 minute down to the beach, Rathtrevor Park and mini golf. Only 2-3 kms to the nearest grocery and liquor stores. An 11am checkout would be preferred as it was a rush to checkout by 10am.

Beautiful property
This is a beautiful and very well appointed unit - there's absolutely everything you need (even spices and a coffee grinder!!). It's close to the beach and right beside the park so is very quiet and private. It would be great for families since you walk right out from the covered patio onto a green space. The owner, Carol, is great - friendly, helpful and prompt. We'll definitely be back, and have already been recommending it to our friends.

Rathtrevor getaway
We love this property. This was our 2nd stay. The property is even nicer than it appears on listing. Everything in home is high end. No mismatched and Ikea furniture as many have. This includes towels,bedding appliances and cookware. If this was my property I would be afraid to rent out for fear of damage. We will be back again next year.
