We chose because there was nothing else available. Normally we would not choose accommodation with a shared bathroom, but then we would normally pay more. The bed was soft and comfortable, but the room is so small it was up against the wall meaning you have to climb over you partner to go to the loo in the night. The owner was friendly and provided extra pullows when requested. The TV is enormous.

The shared bathroom is shabby-chic, not up to hotel standards (but then this is not a hotel) and you have other people's toiletries there. I recommend to the owner to move the bed 12 inches into the room to allow access to the far side, or at least remove the foot-board so you can get in and out at the bottom end if you are on the other side. Also perhaps should mention the small bakery round the corner rather than Morrisons.

It was close to a train station so we had easy access to the town centre

We had to ask for everything even for a key so we could come back in once we had been out for tea. There was no room for our belongings and we had to ask where the bathroom was. We then had to let another guest into the property as the Landlady had left so I rang her and she asked me to show the gentlemen to his room. I also paid for Breakfast which we didn't get. Cobwebs everywhere and very cluttered.
