Das Frühstück war gut, es gab einiges zur Auswahl. Die Lage direkt in der Stadt ist ein Vorteil wenn man die Stadt zu Fuß oder per "Hop on - Hop off" erkunden möchte.

Es gibt leider nur 7 Hotelparkplätze.

The hotel is located in the new town area. Super convenient. The tram station is just 4 mins away. Tram takes you from and to the airport. £9 return. Around the hotel, there are plenty of restaurants, a John Lewis shopping mall, to feed yourself and do some shopping. The balmoral hotel is just nearby where we went to grab a drink in the evening. Everything is within 20 mins walking distance, which we found it super convenient.

Everything is within 20 mins walking distance, which we found it super convenient. Breakfast was good selection of food though very crowded on the 2/F. But after knowing you can eat breaky on 1/F, we never joined the crowd again 😅. The breakfast area is a bit too tight for the capacity of the hotel. I always needed to wait to grab stuff and things are just clustered together. Room service did not exist - maybe that is a way to cut cost. But I am still very not used to this. For example, when we ran out of toilet rolls, reception asked me to go and collect it myself… it is a bit awkward when you are running out of stuff and you need to go out of your room to get sorted 🥲 We travelled with our 2YO hence booked a double bed room with a sofa bed. I thought the sofa bed should be made already for sleep but it didn’t not. So the first night we were all squeezed in the double bed which was crowded! The second day, I asked the house keeping to help us set up the sofa bed which they did, great! The bed was NOT comfortable at all. If you really are fussed about this, maybe this hotel is not your choice. Lack of storage in the room makes things difficult to be organised. Our room is located on the ground floor which is the same level of the car park. I find it a bit annoying that the corridor is always colder than the rest of the hotel because it is connected to the car park. Accessibility is a big issue in this hotel, there are a lot of steps. For example, entrance of the hotel has no slope for pram users and wheelchair users. Inside the hotel, there are always mezzanines which cannot be accessed by lifts.

La camera (315) era spaziosa. Era stata richiesta una camera silenziosa ed effettivamente lo è stata.

Non è stato possibile aprire la finestra, ciò nonostante la camera è sempre stata impregnata di un forte odore di fritto (molto probabilmente proveniente dalla cucina sottostante la finestra). La moquette nelle stanze degli alberghi sarebbe da vietare. Il rumore degli scarichi del piano superiore è paragonabile ad avere uno scroscio all'interno di tubo in plastica nel mezzo della stanza.

Location, room and breakfast, was excellent. Value, size of the room, exceeded our expectations.

I don't know why all over London we have pork sausages for breakfast, some beef sausages would be a welcome change. this is only a suggestion as there was more to choose from to be satisfied.

So freundlich sind wir schon lange nicht mehr empfangen worden. Das Zimmer hatte eine gute Größe und sogar ein wenig Ausblick. Es war sauber und alles da was wir benötigten. Lage war für uns perfekt.

Frühstück hat uns nicht ganz so gut gefallen, wir waren davor in einem anderen Holiday Inn Express, dort war das Frühstück von der Auswahl gleich, war aber an sich besser.

Staffs were excellent and they go out of their way to help. The room has the basic things you’d need for a short stay. The location was excellent, easy to get to anywhere in the city, there’s quick access to public transportation too. We just found a perfect place to stay whenever we visit Edinburgh!

Where can I start, from the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted by Robert, Adam and Patrick on the night shift, our room was perfect plenty of space, tea coffee everything you need bed was excellent toiletries provided, heating/ air com fantastic it truly was a very enjoyable experience, breakfast was wonderful with plenty of choice, well done Holiday Inn, Robert,Adam and Patrick did you proud !! Gentillesse du personnel. Emplacement top, tramway direct devant l'hôtel pour se rendre à l'aéroport en 30mn. Centre commercial avec magasins et restaurants en face de l'hôtel. Centre historique très proche. Situation idéale avec hôtel confortable pour visiter Edimbourg. Nous recommandons à 100% !

Perso, nous n'aurions pas aimé être en chambre "demi sous-sol" mais cela n'a pas été le cas.
