The blanket was a little thin for cold weather. Maybe they also provide others. I was too lazy to request another.

The view

Νο blinders in the ground apartment and there is a big light on in the garden during the whole night. No chance to sleep. Indifferent and impolite the host. In the kitchen you cannot cook.

•Lovely location - the view from it is so gorgeous! •The owner was friendly. •The room was clean and had everything one needs for a few days of staying there.

•The owner overbooked and I had to stay my first night at another hotel (wasn’t a big issue for me, but be aware and ask prior your arrival if all is good). •VERY hard mattress (almost like sleeping on a bit softer floor). Wasn’t that bad for me, but if it might be an issue to you, the. you should ask if it’s possible to have better mattresses.

Lovely villa & self catering rooms. Spiros did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. Great place, would definitely recommend.

We love the location, and could not fault the apartment

The villa is on a hill just above Almirida, in a quiet area, but a 5 minute walk from all services (restaurants, bars, minimarket, pharmacy, shops, bus stop, etc.). The view from the rooms is breathtaking and you will be lulled by the sound of the sea day and night. In June I never suffered from the heat and the exposure of the villa allows you to always have a lot of air in the studio (however there is air conditioning!!). Villa Irini IS the place to stay if you love sunsets, quiet and areas a little less touristy. The homeowner, Mr. Spiros, is a delightful, kind and extremely helpful person. Distances: Almirida centre - 5 min. walk Main road (E75) - 10 min. by car Chania airport - 25 min. by car La Canea/Rethymno - 25 min. by car Falasarna beach - 1,5 h by car Elafonisi beach - 2 h by car Preveli beach - 1,5 h by car Paleochora - 1,5 h by car

A fantastic view from the balconies and the host was very friendly. Our kids played together with their children during our stay. The rooms were big enough for us. It was really close to the beach, just 5-10 minutes walk down the hill.

The garden furniture could use a makeover and perhaps add some more features to make sitting outside a bit more inviting.

Amazing view from balcony!!! Very friendly and helpful host! Friendly and charming animals, cats and dogs. The breakfasts and sunsets watched from the balcony are unforgettable experience. The room was fully equipped - small kitchenette, bathroom, TV. Perfect cleaning service, we had the towels changed every few days. Perfect stay - thank you!

Tiny bathroom, lack of clothes hangers or shelves in the room - it was a bit difficult to store things. The bed was not very comfortable. Internet connection quality was sometimes poor.

I could probably write a page about all the things I liked about Villa Irini! The minute I arrived I was welcomed by the owner, Spiros and his lovely family. Over my 11 night stay was always available if needed, was extremely kind and went out of his way to help me and answer any questions I had. The kitchenette was very well stocked and the beds to die for! All rooms come with stunning views overlooking the sea. I just wish I could have stayed longer. I highly recommend Villa Irini and hope one day I will be back! Thank you for everything. Hennie

Absolutely nothing!

The apartment is located just above the village so that you have a fantastic view at the balcony over the water. We really enjoyed this view every day for breakfast and sunset. The apartment is very simple. However, it offers enough space for the clothes, a small dressing table / desk, and a dining table for two people.

The kitchen is very small, but sufficient for a simple breakfast. However, we never cooked at noon/in the evening because the place and utensils don't give it up.

Was clean and comfortable. Private. Beautiful views across the bay from the balcony. Easy access to the beach and to the village up and down the hill. Owners very easy going and knowledgeable. Good facilities to be able to cook. Local areas food offering is excellent and cheap too.
