The attention to detail for the room was really thoughtful. The sound machines deadened any noise from other guests and the bed was amazing! Try the Greek breakfast joint Mel’s Cafenio.

This is my second time staying here and it is always such a pleasure! I have stayed in both rooms and I can say both are extremely lovely and charming. James and Keverne are very communicative and so friendly and I love that they are just a short walking distance into town. I absolutely recommend staying here if you are in Newport!

Enjoyed a nice stay in the Captains Quarters. The room and bathroom was very clean. The king size bed is very comfortable. The walk to downtown restaurants was 10-15 minutes. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. The off street parking spot was very convenient. We enjoyed touring a couple of the mansions. James and Kaverne our great hosts!!

This room and home is absolutely lovely. Owners really thought of everything you would need for a short stay. Location is excellent. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. The room is so tastefully decorated and the owners were easy to communicate with. The music as you walk in the front door is such a great touch! We booked a week here next summer and am looking forward to returning.

Spent one night in Newport- this room was perfect! The bed was sooo comfy. Easy 10 min walk or $7 uber ride away from downtown. Would absolutely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Captain's Quartes. Easy communication, very clean, quiet, big bed. Very close to downtown, bars and restaurants. Perfect place if you are looking for a place to sleep close to everything! There were waters, protein bars and coffee provided in the room. We were also able to use umbrellas that were provided for us! Would definitely stay here agian. Thank you Keverne!

We had a wonderful stay! Out host couple was friendly and helpful. The accommodations were comfortable with an element of luxury. The room was tastefully done with a local nautical theme which was enjoyed. We had treats, bottled water and coffee service provided in the room. The location was convenient for exploring the waterfront and given the off street parking space at the unit, walking to shopping and dining was easy. Thanks K&J!

From the moment we walked into the property, we felt a sense of warmth and comfort. The calming music in the hallway was very inviting and added to the homely feel. The room was very clean and the decor was beautifully put together. Having been on a 10 road trip, the bed was amazing and by far the best couple of nights sleep we’d had. I’m fact we joked about just staying in the room and not seeing any of Newport! The accommodation is close to the marina and the main shopping streets. The Cliff Walk is beautiful with the rugged coastline and their are nearby cafe’s and bars to choose from. The Corner Cafe was a particular favourite of ours along with a bar called Pour Judgement. The host was very friendly and helpful and this is somewhere we’d definitely return to.

Location is great, walking distance to many places. The room was just as listed, perfect for the 2 of us for a weekend - bed was very comfortable as well! Thanks for the hospitality.

We had a great stay here! The space was clean and the bed was super comfortable. The location was perfect, right in the middle of everything. Keverne and James were wonderful and were quick to answer any questions we had. The only thing I will say is the space is tight, so if you plan on spending a lot of time in the room it might not be the best choice. It was perfect for us because we were out and about. Would definitely recommend!

The owners thought of everything! Very accommodating! Very clean, welcomed by soft music at the front door. Only has two rooms for rent with owners living on the bottom floor. Parking off Street was a plus! The room is upstairs and moving around in the room if you need extra room will be limiting due to a king size bed taking up most of the space. However , this was not an issue for us, but might be for others. There was a box by the front door to leave your shoes… that goes to show how the owners pride on cleanliness in the rental rooms. They have a keureg with coffee pods and tea, 4 waters left in the fridge plus coffee creamers, sugar, paper plates and cups plus plastic ware, napkins and a few granola bars, a fridge, microwave, 2 wine glasses w cork screw remover, tv with remote, very comfy king size bed, a/c and a ceiling fan, a sound machine, plenty of towels and even supplies shampoo and body wash, hand soap, a first aide kit and magnifier mirror in the bathroom! Plenty of space to place your luggage and hang up clothes. They have a steam machine rather than a clothes iron and hair dryer, beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas and waking sticks all for your use! Also a copy of the Newport News left by the door. Secure entry and ease and quick communication with the owners. When departing there are a few housekeeping tasks to follow but we appreciated them! They take pride in their place and want it in great condition for all to enjoy! Highly recommend it!!

We went to Newport for a wedding. Stayed for Sunday and Monday prior to July 4. It was absolutely wonderful. Easy walks to everything we need to go to. In the hospitality was excellent. Love the accommodations. And the friendliness of everybody. Strongly recommend staying here.

With bustling Newport providing tons of food and sights, this was a great place to cool off and spend time with each other.

Convenient one bedroom/bath about 10 minutes walk from downtown newport. Nice decorations and comfortable bedding/towels. They also supplied coffee and waters which was nice. The room gets quiet a bit of sun in the morning so you may wake up early. There were a few chores asked upon departure. I had a great stay here!

The suite had everything we needed and wanted. It was clean and nicely furnished. It included lots of nice touches, such as, a white noise machine, battery candles on timers and a cute little kitchen nook with coffee maker, fridge, K-cups, creamer, granola bars and to-go cups. The location was fabulous. Easy walk to Thames Street and the water. We appreciated the dining recommendations and absolutely loved our stay here.

What an amazing experience!! Every single detail was thought about and available. I literally did not have to request one single thing. And the cleanliness?? Oh how I wish I could give more than 5 stars for cleanliness because I am neurotic about cleanliness and I could even wager this place was cleaner than my home!! I was comfortable from the moment I stepped in and heard the soft music in the common area. The beds, pillows, towels and even specialized makeup towels were luxurious, and I spent every waking moment that I was in this room in the comfy chairs with a cup of coffee, simply enjoying the adorable scenery and home decor. So much to look at but not at all over done. Just… lovely. The sound machine and fan were a thoughtful and meaningful touch. Can’t wait for my next trip to Newport to relax and unwind in this beautiful space again. Thank you to the owners for being as fabulous as they come!!

Off Broadway but walkable! A nice and quiet building and private suite. We had a lovely time!

Highly recommend this quaint historic gem in Newport for a couples getaway. Within walking distance of the water, shops, eateries, art, museums, historic sites, and more -- but with the privacy and coziness of a neighborhood. A must stay.

The accommodations were exactly as the listing described. The room had the most comfortable bed! It is walking distance to Broadway and not terribly far from Thames Street. I would highly recommend this listing!

The bed and bathroom was terrific and very close to lots of things to do in Newport. What else do you need? Also clean and nicely decorated.
