Every year we rent a spot in Canandaigua Lake. The group is 3 families, kids age range from 6 to18. This year we had our best trip. The house had everything we needed This is a must if you are visiting Canandaigua Lake. 6 bedrooms one bedroom has 5 bunk beds. Wide open first level floor and a hangout basement with a bar.

Really loved the property

Four couples headed off on an adventure to the Finger Lakes region -- wondering what we would discover. After a long day hiking, wine tasting, etc. -- we returned to our luxurious rental located on the bucolic shores of Canandaigua Lake. Everything was perfect - location, views, condition-of-property, etc. I would highly recommend this house for family/friend vacations.

Beautiful house right on the lake! We choose the east side if the lake so we could watch the sunsets and the view did not disappoint! House had plenty of room and included basically everything you would need. Kitchen was well stocked, towels were thick/heavy, water pressure was great in showers, good amount of parking, and host was easy to get ahold of. If you plan to bring a boat recommend you coordinate that with the owner ahead of time as some of the items listed were for owner use only. We had a great stay and would definitely come back!!

We had a wonderful time on Canandaigua Lake with 3 generations of family. The name Canandaigua in the Seneca language means "the chosen place" and that is how this worked for us. The water trampoline was fun for all 3 generations.

This property continues to provide a wonderful location for our multi-generational family to enjoy lake sports and family time. Our hosts are very gracious and caring. Looking forward to being back next summer.

This property is beautiful with a fully supplied kitchen, and plenty of towels for showering and swimming. We are a large group of 21 who enjoy our annual vacation week together. Sharing meals is important to us, this property permitted us to prepare, cook and eat our dinners together. The home is well appointed and well cared for. When we encountered a glitch, the owner made sure that it was fixed asap. The trampoline was a major hit with both adults and kids. Having morning coffee on the deck was a bonus along with the great sunsets. We look forward to returning to this property.

All three generations of our clan enjoyed the stay immensely. We are looking forward to going back next year. Incidentally, both washers and dryers were full of towels and clothes when we arrived. We cleaned and used the towels and left the clothes to whomever they belong.

Beautiful house right on the lake. However, the owner had listed the property as a 5 bathroom, when it only has 3 bathrooms in the house. The outdoor shower has no walls, so it is not useable as a real shower. One of the window screens came out while we were there, probably because of previous damage we were not aware of, and the owner charged us an additional $600 damage fee. The unique television set up were difficult to operate without instructions on what to do. The town is very quaint, and we will definitely return to this area, but will not be renting from John again.

Overall we had a wonderful time. The home was everything that was advertised. Spacious rooms, sitting areas everywhere, both inside and on the decks, well-stocked kitchen, sunsets, kayaking and fishing are many of the features that made this home so appealing to our family. We had a lovely time and will always remember the house on the lake.

Kristin and John were wonderful to work with, so helpful and considerate as we planned our weekend. The property inside and out was perfect for our group, even with the chilly May water temperatures there was plenty to do! Thank you for a nice relaxing weekend with friends!

The property is beautiful and the location is perfect, right on the lake. It was beautiful even in the winter; we felt like we were in a snow globe and woke up to beautiful views every morning! Thank you John, we hope to come back in the future!

Other than the house not being as clean as I would have liked, it’s a wonderful property for a multi-generational vacation. Access to the lake is great and there is a lot of outside space to sit around and enjoy the views. This is the second year we stayed at this property and we all had a fabulous time.

This had been planned in late 2019--and then COVID hit--John thankfully gracefully moved our reservation to 2021 and then to 2022 when we felt it was finally reasonably safe to gather. There were no disappointments--kitchen remarkably well equipped, plenty of towels, comfortable beds , great elevator for those finding stairs difficult, very clean and tidy, surrounded by beautiful scenery------what more could we have wished for?????? A remarkable house in a very special location!!

From day 1 until the final day it was perfect weather, food and friends. The house itself was immaculate, very comfortable and suitable for our large group. Can't wait until next year

Several entertainment spaces to enjoy. Lots of amenities such as kitchen utensils, towels, sheets, and outdoor supplies. This home made for a great place to enjoy with family and friends!

The owners were super easy to communicate with and were very helpful in recommending activities and restaurants in the area. The property itself was worth the trip alone. Will definitely be looking to book this spot again.

I cannot speak highly enough regarding this property and the owner. The home was exactly as listed and absolutely beautiful! The house fit our large group perfectly, was extremely clean, the view was amazing, and the location was perfect. The house is right on the lake and made for an awesome atmosphere. It is close to many wineries and breweries. The owner of the home was wonderful to work with, extremely responsive to all questions, and was fantastic about providing recommendations in the area. We are already wanting to plan our next stay with our whole family!

This property is amazing and beautiful! Aside from the stunning view and being waterfront, the outdoor space is so functional to meet just about any need and wish imaginable for a lake house. We could not take full advantage of the outdoor space because the fall weekend we visited was a bit chilly and rainy. I would love to come back for a full week in the summer for a family vacation with the kiddos and extended family. Though the home is big, the inside is still cozy and intimate if you want it to be . . . but allows for space as needed. The house is stocked well, equipped for entertainment, and full of amenities. It is absolutely gorgeous, and though one might be nervous because of the value of the property and its contents, the home is still very comfortable and the environment feels very livable. The owners were very responsive when we had a need or question. I recommend this property 100% . . . it exceeded our expectations!

Beautiful home overlooking the lake. Open layout conducive to nice family gatherings and views. We enjoyed the home for a special family birthday celebration in late September/early October timeframe and so most stores and restaurants in town were open. A great time to visit, and the sunsets seen off the back porch were picture worthy all week long. The home is wonderful!

Our family has been going to the Finger Lakes for a few years now . We loved this beautiful house and the beautiful views from the different decks. We all were comfortable and relaxed in this amazing home.

Expectations were exceeded by reality! The house was even better than pictured as it was stocked w literally everything we could ever need. From dishes, glasses, and serving ware in the kitchen to extra sheets and towels, games, fans in the bedrooms, etc. I especially loved all the outdoor space and seating. My guests were so impressed. Would 10/10 recommend and will absolutely stay again.

The Rushville property was amazing both inside and out. It's a gorgeous high end lakefront property. The spacious 2nd floor deck overlooks the lake and there is a very nice outdoor gas firepit on the first floor patio that offers a relaxing setting. The house was clean, spacious and decorated with great taste. The only downside of the short trip was we didn't catch many fish although I'm sure it has something to do with the fisherman.

The house is very nice, but it’s the access to the lake that makes this house really special. With the trampoline, kayaks and paddle boards, there was non-stop activity for the adults and kids. The lake is fabulous!

This was our third time renting the beautiful house on Canandaigua Lake. As always, the accommodations were wonderful! John, the owner, is always available for questions and responds immediately! A wonderful time was had by all!!

This was an amazing place to stay for a family getaway with young children. There was more than enough room for the group and the house had an incredible view of the lake (especially the sunset!). Everything was very clean and well maintained. The owner was also very responsive to any questions we had. We hope to be able to return in the future!
