We have stayed in many VRBO and we have never been as disappointed and disgusted with a rental like this one. From seeing the deteriorating state of the front door to the chipped paint on walls, interior doors, the state of neglect with furniture, screens, blow dryer, stains on carpet and furniture, blinds and window treatments that are dirty and broken. We were appalled that a owners and property managers (in units we have rented from in past) would allow guests to pay good money for a poorly maintained, totally neglected and in disrepair unit .It’s unconscionable especially with a repeat renter. Clogged sink and inoperable disposal, deteriorating pots and pans, very few pieces of silverware, louvered windows were old, dirty and difficult to open. The window treatment in bedroom could not be open because it was broken. Needless to say, the neglected state of unit impacted our enjoyment of Kapalua. The only redeeming quality was the view. We only hope in the future that we are informed if a unit that we are renting from you is not up to expectations and standards that we are informed in advance. We are very disappointed that we are in a position to write this kind of feedback but more important that we had to pay for and experience on our vacation this kind of disrespect and disregard.

They couldn’t get us the gate code at arrival (we were literally stuck outside). Then the gate code worked for 24 hrs and had the same problem… 3 different times! It was rough. They were quick to respond but never resolved the issue- every time just sent us new codes that didn’t work. Another guest in ended up sharing their gate code with us. Just not the service we expected/needed… it’s the little things.

Kapalua Villas is our favorite place to stay on Maui. This unit was clean and a great location to walk to Kapalua and Napili Bay beaches. The condo had everything we needed in the kitchen, and they provided beach towels, chairs, and boogie boards. A short walk to Montage Spa as well. All in all we enjoyed our stay. This was our first time on a ground floor unit. It was nice to be right on the grass and sit on the porch in the morning watching the birds. The ground floor gets less wind so can be a little warmer but that was fine for us. I loved opening my eyes in the morning to the amazing big blue right out the bedroom window. The property managers were very responsive and communicative.

Kapalua Villas is our favorite place to stay on Maui. This unit was clean and a great location to walk to Kapalua and Napili Bay beaches. The property management company Maui Paradise Properties did a great job keeping this place clean and stocked with all the amenities needed. We even have soup, body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided which usually are not available for vacation rentals. The condo itself is tastefully decorated with nice furniture. The kitchen is stocked with nice dinnerware and utensils. The whole apartment is over 1000 square feet with 2 stories. Comparing to some of the ocean front properties this one is definitely spacious especially the bathroom. Both bed and sofa bed are very comfortable. The pillow is a little big for me but I slept well. Both upstairs and downstairs have view of the ocean. Overall check in and check out process is quite easy. We love the Kapalua coastal trails which are just in front of the apartment. The Kapalua bay is only a 5 minutes walk and is great for snorkeling. During our stay the weather was very windy and stormy so we didn't get to enjoy too much of the trails. Summer might be a better season to visit this side of the island.

Right on the lawn near the coastal trail. Views are amazing, the uau kane at twilight are ethereal, parking is convenient and the pool/bbq is close enough but also far away enough to avoid the sound of kids screaming and enjoying themselves. The unit is a bit dated but so are we; it was a perfect fit! We will definitely be repeat visitors as long as this villa is available to rent.

Wonderful, comfortable, well-furnished condo. We walked to Kapalua beach every day to snorkel. We appreciated all of the beach accessories provided (chairs, umbrella, snorkel equipement, ect). Would love to stay in this lovely condo again.

Excellent views from the master! Chairs and beach accessories were welcomed. We would walk 5’ to beach every evening. Walking trail access in your backyard. Comfortable bed. Perfect rental for my husband and I.

Excellent place to stay. The WiFi password provided wasn’t quite right, but we worked it out and that really is the only fault we can find.

Good location next to beach trail great views and close to resorts. WiFi didn't work so other than that I would book again.

Our goal for this trip was to relax, mission accomplished. My wife loves to walk and hike, with the coastal trail right out the front door, there was ample opportunity to get out and enjoy the area surrounding Kapalua Bay. The villa was clean and in great shape, the view from upstairs was amazing. The patio was our favorite hangout, the water is not visible from the patio, but it is in the shade and private. Overall we would definitely rent again.

This was the second time we stayed at this wonderful property. In every way it is perfect. The location is ideal. The views are stunning. The Whale watching was exciting. Walk out the door and saunter through shoreside volcanic Hawaiian nature trails steps away by the ocean. Watch the sunrise and listen to the waves and rolling seas. The sunsets are glorious. Enjoy the vivid rainbows after misty Hawaiian rains. This is just part of staying at this property. Kapalua is an escape from the rest. Short drives north bring you within moments of beaches and activities, restaurants, shopping and more... Truly perfect twice and we look forward to more stays here...

The property needs some attention. The air conditioning shut off from stress several times. The dryer needs to be replaced. When we did call in a problem the owner was responsive. However, these two issues need to be addressed. It’s a pain to have to deal with those issues when you pay for a premium villa.

Great location, nice condo however some things needed to be updated/cleaned. Carpets pretty dirty and tile floors did not appear to have been swept. Nice place just needed a little more TLC from the cleaning service.

Size and layout of the property are perfect for two people. The grounds are well-kept. We were disappointed to see how dirty the stair carpeting was . Also, paint touch up done very poorly. Please inform your maintenance people as the other Bay Villas we’ve stayed in were much nicer. Thanks

We really enjoyed the condo. It was immaculate and the surrounding grounds in this secure gated community were very well maintained. The bed was comfy and kitchen well stocked. Our only issue was during our January stay, it was very windy, which of course has nothing to do with the condo itself.

the condo is in a wonderful location...a five minute walk from the best snorkeling beach in Maui but the unit is old and not in great repair. needs painting and carpets cleaned. If you look at the other units at Bay Villa, right from a cleaner and better looking front door to the insides you see the difference. Dryer really doesn't dry well. took four hours to dry four towels. shower doesn't work really well. a lot of little things. I would go back to Bay Villas but not this unit.
