We stayed at this property for the 2nd time and are looking forward to going back. It is a very well-kept place with a nice view of the pond, pine trees and Rainbow Lake. We enjoyed watching all of the wildlife and fishing at the dock located on Rainbow Lake. We found it to be very relaxing!

The cabin had everything, and more! The pantry was fully stocked, which was nice to make meals at the cabin. Our kids, 3 and 5, had fun playing with the outdoor games on the bottom patio, as well as the large selection of board games and video games. It was also nice to be able to park inside the garage, because it snowed almost the whole time we were there. I bet this place is beautiful in the spring! Sitting on the patio and watching the ducks from the lake was a nice past time activity as well. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Nice place. Cost us about the same in fees as it did to stay. We had family stay actually in the lake in another property which was bigger and better location for less overall money. I’d recommend using Vrbo as a last resort. We paid $175 for cleaning… lol $63 for insurance? We didn’t even opt for it. $100 Vrbo fee. Lol Pretty much a rip off. Good comms from the folks who have the property, but def not worth the extra fees. Lol

The Rainbow Lake Retreaat House checks all the boxes. The home is beautiful. The property is in great repair and shpae. The location is spectacular and the overall feeling is one of peace, tranquillity and joy. My wife and I treated our son and duagther-in-law and our 2 grandchildren to a weekend getaway and we all had a magnificent time. You will too.

This amazing stay was as advertised (plus some) the perfect location, relaxing views, the best coffee or cocktail drinking balcony, walking distance to Rainbow Lake (where we kayaked & fished) AND the place - we felt like we were at home, cozy,comfortable, overly stocked kitchen, the bedrooms were cute and comfortable. Ruth Ann, the owner is the sweetest. She messaged us the day of check in to welcome us, left us homemade shea butter with a sweet note and then followed up with a goodbye.

The house is very nicely decorated and fully stocked with anything one might need. It overlooks a pond below the Rainbow Lake where we watch ducks and geese come and go every day. The whole subdivision of homes is very nice and well kept - gated, too.

Well stocked, clean, and updated home, a short walk to Rainbow Lake. Beautiful view of the small duck pond in front. It worked well for two families of four with small children. The outside / yard space is very small, and the home is very close to its neighbors. We never figured out how to access the storage space with bikes and inner tubes, unfortunately.

We left behind Tucson’s brutal heat wave to enjoy a few days in Pinetop-Lakeside at this delightful pond-side home. The two decks, both facing the pond, allowed us to be outside for the first time in weeks. All the necessary amenities made our stay extremely comfortable, especially the nice king size bed in the MBR. Perfect getaway. This cabin is absolutely amazing . The view is so beautiful and the upper and lower patio area are perfect. We played games and enjoyed the ambiance around us. Just a short walk to lake and all kinds of fun lake toy rentals. We caught many fish off the shoreline. We all had a fabulous time here.

I don’t usually post reviews but this property is absolutely fabulous! The best place we’ve ever stayed in the pines. The house is beautifully decorated, fully stocked with everything you need to make your stay feel just like home. Plus the view of the pond and lake make this the perfect place to enjoy the high country. Ruth Ann has been wonderful, friendly and so much help from the moment our reservation was accepted. We’ve already booked another stay!

What a wonderful stay! This property has easy access to the lake, wonderful views of the pond and lake, not to mention front row seating to the wildlife visiting the pond. It is spacious. There were 8 of us and it fit us all comfortably. It came well equipped, plenty of towels, linens, fully stocked kitchen and pantry. Everything we needed and more. The owner and property manager were also very warm and attentive. Thank you so much for making our trip great! Would love to return in the future!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay! This home has a spectacular view of the lake from the kitchen table as well as from the covered outside deck! It was really relaxing watching the ducks & other wildlife on the lake. We had everything we needed for a special weekend with our family. Thanks!!

I booked this beautiful cabin for a 3 night Spring break getaway with my wife and 3 kids. The location of this neighborhood is perfect, we were within 15 minutes of restaurants, stores and entertainment yet the neighborhood feels secluded. This cabin is in a small, new neighborhood that is gated and nicely paved which we appreciated due to all of the rain during our visit. We were impressed with the views from the large picture windows on the back of the cabin and from off the back porch. The cabin was very clean and well stocked, we were indoors most of our trip due to rain and we found the cabin very comfortable and very much like a home away from home. This cabin has a beautiful well stocked kitchen, a gas fireplace that we really enjoyed during the winter storms, a nice entertainment center with satellite television, blue ray player with movies and a sound bar. The master bathroom is wonderful with a large walk in shower and a bidet. The beds were comfortable, the master bedroom has a sleep number bed. There were plenty of clean towels and linens. We have some great memories made at this cabin and hope to return in the summer months to enjoy the warmer weather and take advantage of the amazing lake access. The communication was seamless from start to finish, I spoke with the owner Ruth Ann several times and with Tamie who was very attentive to every need, both were wonderful to work with. We have stayed in many vacation rental homes through the years and this cabin is in our top 5. We look forward to staying again.

We really loved the place! The view of the lake and access to it! House so warm and cozy! We really like that anything you need you will find it in the house. Not far from Sunrise ski resort. We are thinking on renting this lovely place again!
