My three-generation family stayed @ Gabe's place for a full week. We ranged from ages 13 to 75 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Almost every day we headed in to see a San Diego attraction and the trip was quick and easy every time. The house was awesome with well thought out amenities like a coffee / tea bar, three orange trees that were prolific and better than anything we could get at the grocery store, a great back yard, etc. The only point that is worth considering if renting for seven or more days is the Pool and Jacuzzi heat fee. This fee does not show up in the listing and does not show up in the list of fees as you book and pay for the rental. It is buried in the rental agreement and is assessed a month before the rental starts. Since the fee is significant ($1050) and may be enough to cause you to look for other accommodations it would be VERY useful to know about it up front.

The host was very easy to work with and the property was great. Our kids loved the foosball table, games, and jacuzzi. My wife and I loved having coffee in the backyard because it sits on a great green space.

Perfect place as we had a small group in town to go to a volleyball tournament SDSU. House is as listed. Very clean. A lot of beds and common area spaces are great!! Communication with hose was easy and supported our trip and needs. Would stay here again!!

We had a great family trip to San Diego. This property served our needs very well. The grandkids had a great time in the pool. The hot tub was very relaxing for the adults. We would stay here again.

The property was great with everything we needed. The neighbor was very friendly. The only negative comment would be the late 5 PM check in.

We truly enjoyed the home and everything went very well during our stay. Kitchen was perfect for our family as well as the pool and entertainment. We will recommend to others and look into the house when we come back to San Diego.

Nice place, and comfortable home! There is a 9pm curfew for pool use, but we enjoyed during the day. Neighborhood is well kept & quiet. Close to tons of places! Will definitely stay again!

Very well thought out the decor and comfort. The only suggestion is to allow check in time a little bit earlier. Will consider coming back in the future.

We were a bit shocked with the size of the place. The photos online make it look a lot more spacious than the actual size of the house. The house itself was very clean and well taken care of. Two things we weren’t happy with was the yard and outdoor sitting area was filled with hard, crunchy fallen leaves which was hard for our kids playing out there to walk on. Seemed like the leaves have not been cleaned up in a long time. Also we had to go out and buy more tide pods and toilet paper which we thought they would of been better stocked for a house that slept 15 people. Our kids loved the pool and it was well equipped with toys, floaties and all the good things to keep everyone entertained for a pool day. Gabe was very easy to get in contact with and responded right away when asked questions.

Great property. Close to Mission Ridge Regional park with hiking trails and to 8 Freeway. Lovely hot tub and nice amenities like board games, corn hole, and fooseball.

Great property! Really close to all major attractions and downtown San Diego. Also very convenient for grocery shopping, restaurants, etc. Gabe was also super responsive and checked in on us throughout our stay (via Vrbo, not coming by the house). Only minor quibble is that the main living area is a bit smaller than the pictures may appear, so if you've got a large group it could get a bit cramped as a hang out area, but it was still just fine for our group (8 adults and 4 toddler age kids). Definitely recommend!

House is nice and roomy. The bunk beds were ok not too comfy for older people. There were a lot of cobwebs outside on the fences. Pool needed to be skimmed which was not a big deal.

Thank goodness for the pool and hot tub. It occupied our sunless days due to June gloom. The house was cozy and our party of 10 adults and 2 kids each had a bed. Some were more comfy than others. There were plenty of supplies to last us for 5 days which was helpful. Thank you! We had a nice time!

This is a nice place, but there are two things that are left out of the online description. The sizzling hot pool and jacuzzi are only hot if you pay an extra $1050 a week to heat them. You only find out about this in the rental contract. The other issue is that you are told to not be in the backyard after 9 PM. This is rather restrictive considering that would be prime time for a hot tub. Dining space is small, hard for a group bigger than 8.

We enjoyed this property with our extended family. Having the pool and jacuzzi helped entertain our grandchildren ages 6-9 while we were at the house. The additional cost of heating the pool and jacuzzi were well worth the price because it was cool while we were in San Diego. The location was good, close to many attractions. The owner was very attentive. We understood the curfew for the backyard and were respectful of the neighbors.

Great location! We were just a short drive from everything we needed or wanted to do, but when we got back to the house, it was nice and quiet. The whole neighborhood seemed pretty chill. Excellent communication by the host. Everything just seemed really easy. The weather was a little chilly, so we didn't spend too much time in the back yard, but we did spend some time in the hot tub and that was great!

This was one of the best vacation rentals me and my family have stayed at. The pictures don’t do justice at all. It’s much bigger than we expected. The backyard was an oasis with the perfect amount of dog area, kids area, and lounge area. Each room was so spacious which was perfect for us. THE BALCONIES!! I’ve never seen a house with so many amazing balconies! It was great. There was a total of 16 of us with one dog and there was ample space. Each bathroom had more than enough toiletries and towels to accommodate us. The aesthetic, cleanliness, and overall vibe of the home including the kind surrounding neighbors was amazing. Bonus! There’s 4 liquor stores, a grocery store, restaurants, and gas stations less than a mile away, which is super convenient. I highly recommend this rental property! Gabe was such a wonderful host with great communication. Thanks so much again!!

I absolutely loved everything about this home. The photos are great- but still don't do the house justice. Trust me when I say you just have to be there. Great views and such peaceful vibes. The house was also stocked with anything you could think of and anything you might've forgotten at home. My favorite part especially was the cotton swabs, cotton balls and makeup towel in the bathroom (excellent touch). There were 7 of us and we each had our own beds. There was an 8th person who wasn't able to join us but we noticed they also would have had their own bed (a daybed). So with 2 to a bed the house could hold up to 13 comfortably. The home was also never more than a 15-20 minute Uber ride from all the San Diego fun. And Ubers were very affordable (never more than $25). The only note for "improvement" that I have, which is also one acknowledged by the property managers via signs to the backyard space, is that the neighbors do seem a tad nosy and if you are outside too late they might end up complaining about noise. This did not happen for us, however it did have me a little paranoid. But honestly that isn't anything they would be able to control, just a note for future guests if you did want to be able to be outside at all hours. My last notes for "improvement" which really is just things to add to make the home even more fun. Maybe adding a hammock and some form of coverage over the pool/jacuzzi area? It rained almost the whole time we were there (like really rained) so we were only able to go into the pool and hot tub a couple of times. Also some seating for the balconies on the 2nd floor- that would be the perfect extra touch!

Had a lovely stay for my bachelorette party with 15 women. Plenty of room for everyone and everyone has a bed - some shared but no issue. The place is as advertised and is lovely. Communication was very easy. Would stay again!

Rental was very easy, check in and was perfect. Good communication with the host. Perfect house for a family to use close to everything.

The house was perfect for our mini "family reunion." It was spacious, well-equipped, decorated beautifully and located in a great neighborhood. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing time, with most of our days spent by the pool, and that's exactly what we got. Food options and grocery stores were within a 10 minute drive, but the house is equipped with a great outdoor grill and sitting areas. Although there are plenty of things to do at the house, like table tennis and cornhole, there is also a great park for running, mountain biking, etc. just a short 5 minute walk away. We would definitely stay here again!

To start, be aware there is a fee for heating the hot tub. We were able to negotiate with the owner as this appeared to us as a hidden cost. Our group was 5 couples, we were under the impression it’s 5 beds rooms but the 5th bedroom is also a communal living space. Not a big deal and there were plenty of beds but that did mean sharing rooms so keep in mind if your group wants separate rooms. The place was clean but in my opinion is no where near a “mansion” as listed. The neighborhood is full of middle class (nothing wrong with that) but the photos and listing make it look much bigger than it is. Location wise is pretty far out also so we ended up spending a fortune on Ubers while going out. We all really enjoyed the pool but we’re uncomfortable with a security camera pointing directly at the pool and hot tub. Owner was quick with communicating and was kind enough to let us come early to use the back yard (3pm instead of 5pm). Not anyones fault and we all appreciated the cleanliness but the late check in and very early checkout is not the most convenient with traveling. The direct neighbor is super friendly which is appreciated but is clearly a hoarder. Tons of junk and is always in the front. All this to say we had a great trip and would recommend to others.

Awesome place close to downtown & beach

Our family of 12 fit very comfortably in the house. The location was close enough to everything we wanted to do in San Diego. Everything was beautifully finished and anything we needed to cook with was there. Communication with the owner was instant when we had issues with the pool filter. The pool cleaning company was there within a couple hours. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a beautiful and clean home in San Diego.

First I would like to say that the communication with the property manager was excellent which really mattered. Thank you Gabe for being fluid and available via text! Overall the house is really nice!!! And very close to everything you may need including grocery stores, Costco, gas etc also close to freeway. We were literally 15mins away from all the attractions. The inside is much smaller than the pictures made it seem with plenty of sleep space but the living room/dining area did not hold us all so we gravitated outside which was fine because the weather was beautiful. What wasn't fine was that the neighbors complained about noise even though we were just hanging out and playing card games, laughing and swimming. We also could not get the BBQ to stay lit but just ended up doing burgers/dogs inside. I think this is a really great property but maybe not a place to really "hang out" if that is what you are looking for. Overall probably better for a crowd that mostly needs a place to sleep.
