We stayed at Cottage on the Corner for 5 days over fall break. Our group of 6 was very comfortable in the house and had everything we needed for a great stay. We cooked a couple meals at the house and the kitchen is better stocked than any house we have ever rented. We enjoyed the front porch swing and used the provided bikes. We loved being so close to Kid’s Korner and the blue stairs.

Our overall stay was wonderful! Great location! Close to Lake Michigan. Very walkable!! We had two concerns. #1. Both full baths are on the first floor. #2. The steps are narrow going upstairs and when you almost get to the top of stairs, there is no railing to grab on to at the top. Can be dangerous of older people.

Great location and the front porch is amazing. The upstairs bedrooms are not ideal if you need to use a bathroom during the night because the floors squeak like crazy. The house itself is perfect for a small group and you can’t beat the location!

My husband, tween-age kids and our dear friends all stayed at the cottage for 4 days and 3 nights and we lvoed it! The location was as ideal is it gets - we walked EVERYWHERE, to South Beach and all around the downtown South Haven area. When we had issues with the dryer not working, the owners responded and let us know we didn't have to worry about starting a laundry load before leaving. The bunk bed was noisy when my kids turned in bed, and the floors were creaky upstairs but that is to be expected in an older home! I only mention it because for light sleepers it might be an issue, but my kids slept fine with the sound machine on we brought from home. The neighborhood was very quiet at night even with the blueberrry festival going on! We were very happy at the cottage and would absolutely come back.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cottage! Plenty of space for all of us and every amenity we needed courteous of our thoughtful hosts. Easy walk to the beach and incredible playground. Peaceful front porch with a swing to watch the world go by. Highly recommend as a great place to get away!

Very well stock. Great location. Very clean, great large family. Lots of extras that some rentals don't have. Enjoy our time even though it was winter Time

We needed a Michigan fix and decided on South Haven for fall break. The Cottage on the Corner was all that we needed and more. Our kids loved the proximity to the park and we lucked out with amazing weather so access to the beach was too easy as well. The house was clean and roomy for our family of 4, and my kids (5and 8) loved the outdoor spaces on the front porch and back deck. They diligently swept off all the leaves for 45 min one afternoon and were so happy- great for mom and dad! The only thing I couldn’t find was a teapot. Otherwise it had all you could want in the kitchen , and I very well could have missed it in all that cabinet space! A wonderful space where memories were made. Thank you for such a welcoming place in this sweet Michigan town.

We had a wonderful ladies weekend. The house was perfect from location to bedding, etc. We will definitely stay again!!!

Beautiful home and area. Minutes from Lake Michigan and kids corner park. Clean and had everything you could think of needing. Would so go back.

Good time

This home away from home was perfect for my family (Me, husband, son, son's best friend, and my mother)! The house has everything we needed (except dressers, but that's no big deal). The boys LOVED being so close to kid's corner, and we are Blue Stairs people so being a straight shot was perfect. The house was very clean and felt like it was recently spruced. The ensuite off the main floor primary is absolutely charming. I called it the Harry Potter bathroom all week. A very clever use of space to give an old home a little something modern! The porch is also something special. Great size, love the corner for people watching, and the swings wonderful. We would absolutely stay here again. We plan on adding a furbaby to the family this year, so we won't stay again anytime soon, as we need a pet friendly rental. If we are back in SoHa, pet free, we definitely hope we can snag this gem again!

Great, property, loved how close it was to the kids corner and beach access. The porch swing was very relaxing. Home is clean and nicely decorated. Owners are VERY responsive and kind. Would like to stay again.

The owner was wonderful to work with. The location of the house was perfect - close to Kids Korner and the Blue Stairs that lead down to South Beach. We sure enjoyed the wonderful front porch with the swing and the back deck offered another useful outside place for us to hang out. So appreciated the use of the bicycles and beach chairs. The indoor space was limiting for our family. The layout was inconvenient for spending family time in the living room as it was so small. The master bedroom had an extremely small bathroom tucked under the stairway. Plus there wasn’t a dresser, so we had to live out of our suitcase. There is no bathroom upstairs for anyone staying in those two bedrooms. The bunk bed was so squeaky our granddaughter wasn’t able to sleep on the upper bunk leaving us short one bed. The house itself was very clean; however the landscaping was in need of weeding. While we enjoyed our week, it will not work for our family to return again next year.

Great stay!

We walked to the beach and downtown South Haven everyday from this house and had no complaints, not even from our youngest who are 6 and 4. The living room is on the small side for 8-10 people but the back deck and front porch are roomy and the places to be if you’re at this house in nice weather and not sleeping. Bedrooms all have plenty of room for the beds placed in them. Kitchen is well stocked with things a family or larger group need. The outside grill is decent and usable. The house was as advertised, clean when we arrived, had plenty of bath towels for a larger group, and was well stocked for our use… nothing to complain about.

The kitchen was well stocked, back deck and table very nice, especially with the nice lights. The front porch is so cute! Beds were very comfortable. The only downside is that both bathrooms are downstairs, but it was completely doable. The master bath is very tiny, but again, very doable. Thank you for the wonderful stay! The town is also very nice, too.

The property is in a great location literally (not exaggerated closeness) 2 blocks from the lake and 1 block to both kids corner and the trail to Van Buren State Park! The bed in the downstairs bedroom was very comfy. Please note: the bathroom attached to the downstairs bedroom is wonky for anyone peeing standing up and taller than 4'. There was an additional downstairs bathroom so no biggie. Also, I wasn't able to find live TV.

We rented this cottage for a girls' post-Thanksgiving getaway. It is wonderfully renovated, spacious enough for 3 adults to chill out and relax, but close enough to the Lake and town for sightseeing and retail/restaurant activities. We used all 3 bedrooms and were unanimous in our reviews of the excellent quality of sleep/mattresses/comfort/quiet. The kitchen was well appointed with plenty of cookware for those eat-in meals. We loved having the rail trail system right across the street for a morning walk. South Haven was pretty lively for end of November and even in the a wintry mix, the walk to town was not too bad. Molly was a wonderful host, checking in and responsive to questions. We are already planning a summer return!

Nice place just a couple blocks from the lake. Bed was comfortable and it had all amenities needed for a home away from home. Only issue was getting my streaming service for live tv (YouTubeTV). I couldn't find the app on any of the services provided on the smart TV and DVD player. Didn't really need it anyways as we were out visiting breweries most of the time.

We absolutely loved our stay at the corner cottage and the pictures are exactly how it looks in person. The home was very clean and the electronics were updated which was great. I did not realize how close we really were to the beach and the kids corner park, it was so nice to walk there. I will recommend it says up To 10 people we had 4 adults and 1 infant and we were comfortable. The owner Molly was great with communication and was very easy to get a hold of her. It was a great experience and can’t wait to go back again.

We stayed in the Cottage on the Corner for a long weekend at the beginning of October… 2 families, 5 kids- It was a reunion weekend for us since before covid, and this turned out to be such a great place for us to meet and spend time together! The corner lot offers a nice amount of yard space, so our 4 and 7-year-old boys played lots of football and hide and seek. The weather was beautiful when we were there, and we enjoyed lots of morning and evening time on the front porch and the back deck. The proximity to Kids Corner and the beach is just awesome… So great with young kids to be able to quickly walk to either, and we spent many hours at both. The house was very clean, kitchen well-stocked, and there was enough space in both the master and the room upstairs with a queen for a pack-n-play or air mattress. It was a wonderful place to stay; the kids had a blast of a weekend, and we all really enjoyed our time there.

Very nice location with a good price. South Haven easy to get around as well as. centrally located along the coast. Did a fun day trip to Grand Haven. Even though it wasn't on the lake it was a easy walk to it. Owner very nice to deal with. Would definitely stay there again.
