Perfect for our visit. Easy walking to food and drink. Close to the battlefield. A great stay!

Comfortable stay nothing luxurious, clean and very convenient

This is probably the cleanest place we’ve stayed at. The location can’t be beat either. It was very comfortable and the owner was fantastic at communicating.

The location and off street parking are optimal. Who doesn't like to see Abraham Lincoln from their bed or hear church bells chime! Loved some of the historic features! The stairs up the apartment are a cool curve but a lot. A few little things...towel hook near the shower, hook for hand towel, WD-40 the squeaky door, more comfortable seating...would go a long way. Overall we enjoyed ourselves but really weren't in the apartment much over the weekend. Would highly recommend to others!!

Would stay again in this Civil War Era house. All needs were met. The house was super convenient to our agenda in Gettysburg. Thank you!

For history buffs like my friend and me, the location can't be beat -- the building was there in 1863 and likely passed by Lincoln on his way to deliver his address. The unit has everything promised in the listing. But it wasn't especially comfortable. It occupies attic space at the top of the building. There was a good deal of street noise, which really didn't bother me much but could be a problem for others. Instructions on how to use to the TV controls would have been nice. For our purposes, it was fine -- we were out touring the sights most of the day. But I'm guessing I'll look elsewhere the next time I'm in Gettysburg.

Even though is an older property (1863) it was very comfortable, provided everything needed. Excellent A/C and the beds very comfortable. It wad hard for me to go up so many stairs but because I had knee problems and did not ask about stairs. Thanks.

Great time

Everything was as the listing said it would be. Great location, and perfect for a weekend get-a-way on the bikes with friends. Off street parking was a plus!

Excellent location and very spacious. There is a leaky window in the main bedroom next to the large mirror when it rains. Only complaint would be the noise that the air conditioners made when shutting on and off. Overall very nice place to stay and we enjoyed being able to walk downtown without having to get in the car everytime.

Great location

This place was great within walking distance to all of downtown Gettysburg! The apartment was great ac was a plus. My only suggestion is to get some outlets in the one bedroom.

This is the second time the husband and I have booked a stay at the Laura Martin house. Two separate apartments, but both have been a great stay. The owners keep the place super clean and both units have been comfortable! You literally cannot compete with the location of this place. Right in the middle of everything. We love it here! Can’t wait to book again! Thank you for having us!

We had a wonderful weekend staying here in Gettysburg. We left the car in the parking lot in the back and walked almost everywhere! Just the basics provided in the kitchen and bathroom but everything else was great!

Clean apartment. Great location. The parking behind building has such a plus. We parked the car and walked just about everywhere. I would definitely stay there again.

We felt comfortable and curious staying in a witness building! The top floor gave us an excellent view of the library and churches next door. People watching was lots of fun! The temperature was adjustable and everything we needed was there. It was also nice to have parking included for when we spent time in town. We would stay there again!

This property had a GREAT location. After see the National Park, we parked the car and walked to everything in town.

The property was super convenient! We were right in town and walking distance to so much. My son and I drove up from Richmond, VA for a weekend together. My son is a history buff so it made for a great time. We are already planning a return to Gettysburg for this fall, we loved it and 3 days wasn't enough time to fully explore.

Property was described exactly as posted, very clean and accommodating. Location was perfect allowing us to be able to walk all around the downtown area as well as drive to anywhere on the battlefield. I visit Gettysburg at least twice a year and this property will definitely be on my return list.

It was very nice having a place right in town. We were in walking distance of the grocery store, restaurants, and various attractions. The downside is traffic makes a bit of noise. It would not have been too bad but there was some construction to the road that made trucks bang a bit louder. The room itself was very nice. Its on a third floor so there are stairs to climb. If you are going to do a lot of your own cooking consider bring some of your own supplies. There where plates, utensils, and pans but its pretty basic. I did not find measuring cups for example. In the end i would stay there again.

My wife, stepdaughter and I stayed for Remembrance Day weekend. This place was perfect and just what we needed. It’s spacious and worked for us.

Good space in a great location. Parking area is a plus, especially in town.

Close to everything, would stay again.
