The check in and out was awesome, no lines or confusion. The unit was nice and clean. The resort is amazing with everything you need right there. We enjoyed ourselves very much. The only thing and it’s not on the owner or the management team but all guest need to respect everyone else and wash the dishes when they use them. We had to wash everything we used but that was fine. We will definitely stay again.

this is usually a very family venue, I was not made aware of the fact that Memorial Day weekend would be such a bad choice for staying there! I found out upon arrival that this holiday is also known as Black bike Week. Loud vulgar music was played from condos onto the outdoor pool area while myself and my grandkids tried to enjoy the amenities. Songs with explicit lyrics that spoke of sexual acts, contained loud profanity that made me blush, and music that condemned police and white people. Women walked about the condo pool and amenity areas with see through tops, see through pants and only thong type bottoms under them. Bare butt cheeks were displayed all around and even off the motorcycle seats for my 6 and 8 year old grandsons to see. The elevators and balcony areas wreaked of marijuana. Two days the pool was closed off with caution tape bc some partiers had thrown corona glass beer bottles into the main pool and caused a hazardous situation for everyone. The festival was located at Atlantic Beach which is right beside Baywatch. The loud partying and distasteful music blared up into the wee hours of the night, so loud that we could not sleep. The spill over from the festival was held at the Bay watch parking deck area. Attendees reved their motorcycle engines all night there and rattled the windows. My daughter and her children were afraid to go to their vehicle as a crowd of people roughty partiers were gathered there. Traffic patterns were a nightmare. Car park full.

Had a couple of hiccups but the Carolina palm staff were very quick to take care of the issue. I would highly recommend using Carolina palm for your vacation. Accommodations were good clean and located perfect for us, that made the vacation fantastic. Thank you Carolina Palm staff.

the beds were terrible, they need new mattresses, the remotes for the tv doesnt work i bought new batterys, and they worked for 1 day, have to turn everything by the tv itself, other than that, the process of checking in, and out is a nightmare, not enough carts, and you have to go to the main building to get them, only allowed 15 minutes, or you will be towed away, not enough handicap parking.

Overall it was nice. We enjoyed the amenities pool, lazy river, etc. The convenience of getting to the beach quickly also. We had to rewash every dish we used because the people prior to us, did not clean adequately. The house keeping that comes in between could clean a little better. Their needs to be a sign or some way to let/ remind people of the high metal strip on the entrance to the sliding door.

The towels and mattress cover on murphy bed was gross, with black stain on it. Place was not vacuumed Needs all the rusty appliances changed.

When we went to check in, we arrived at the address given. Turns out there was another location in NORTH MYRTLE BEACH. With the exact same address. So we had to drive 30 min. No big deal. That’s where most of the activities we had planned todo were at anyway. Well check in was made easy as we didn’t have to go to the front desk or anything just were given codes and up we went. When walking in the condo had a very weird musty smell. There was obvious places of dirt that’s was not clean. What appeared to be mold on the side of the fridge and on the chair cushion. Everything just felt dirty. We ended up going to Walmart and buying sheets and a bath mat and our own towels to use because of how things felt. After sending pictures to property manager they did offer to have someone come clean. But we already had all our stuff there and unpacked so we didn’t want them on their with our stuff. But the pictures on Vrbo appear to be when the property was first bought and done or edited because you cannot see the dirt and grime especially in the kitchen.
Overall aside from the dirtiness it is a great resort and location. We had a great vacation and time with family. The property manager was easy to contact and was accommodating when brought to her attention.

Stay at bay watch many time before though another owner choose to go though this one this time because the rate the rooms i was supposed to get was great but turned out it was not a two bedrooms but a one room and still cost the same. When i asked if they could add another day or something for there mistake i was told i could be refunded and could find another place. Ive NEVER had any problem with this place before when i went though another place to rent. Then i was told i could get a early check and when we got there early we could not check in early!! Then when we were able to check in to our room it was nothing like it was posted. Thank god this trip was to celebrate my daughter's sweet 16 and we had to spend little time in it and shes not picky.

Not enough towels for bathroom, fith behind murphy bed, everything was old and not as nice as the pictures showed on line. The property was not as kept as shown in photos on site.

The resort is in a great location.
Pool/ outside area looks nice, however; as other reviews stated, the inside needs updated and attention. I get its at ocean, and salt and sea are rough on a place, but the paint needs refreshed, as well as hall catpet, and lighting in halls dark. I was alone and felt unsafe at night time. Never saw security at night.

The convenience of check-in, parking and beach access was outstanding. Perfect place if you don’t plan on staying in the room but to sleep. Perfect distance to Barefoot Landing and North Myrtle attractions.

We have stayed at the BayWatch Resort many times over the last 15 years. It has been our go-to when we wanted to get away from home for a few days. We have stayed in 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units over the years in all three towers. So we have a lot of examples of units at BayWatch to compare our stay with.
Upon entering the unit, we were greeted with the smell of smoke and marijuana. The smoke smell came from all of the towels in the unit. There was no escaping it. We were thankful we brought our own to use. Additionally, the bathroom smelled of marijuana. It was even coming from the wall decorations. We found a can of air freshener in the bathroom cabinet. We pretty much emptied it in the bathroom and around the unit to provide relief.
We looked around the unit to make sure of the cleanliness elsewhere. We found alcohol, noodles, coffee, recreational ice pack, and other items on and in the refrigerator. There are splatter stains on the lower walls around the unit. The closet had a sticky substance on the floor and the safe was not secured to the floor. The closet door track was so dirty it didn’t move smoothly. Additionally, our feet were blackened with dirt walking around the unit causing us to wear socks during our stay. The socks we wore got pretty soiled each day. Photos were taken and sent.
This was, by far, the worst unit we have ever stayed in at the BayWatch. We attempted to contact by email, phone, and through VRBO without response.

This property is in a great location with a gorgeous view of the beach from the balcony. The facility had great variety of pool and hot tubs.
I did not get a communication prior to check in relating to how to access property until I reached out to the host while i was on site.
The " game room" I feel was misrepresented.... its 2 games and a pool table in the bar...
I was unable to lock my room upon departure with the locking mechanism. I contacted host once we realized the problem our first night there, and the problem was not resolved until 330pm the prior day. This meant the one whole day we had at the beach we were unable to leave the hotel as a family.
We did not have access to wifi for our room. I did mention this to the host, similar to the lock situation i was given and an email address to contact. The wifi situation was never fixed.
There is a laundry list worth of things you need to do upon check out with the threat of the deposit being deducted in increments for these tasks. I feel it was a little much and over stressed!
I feel this trip was more stressful then I was intending for as a short get away. I spent most of the time in the room and not with my family due to our lock not working upon departure waiting for it to be fixed. Also... no wifi for the room... kinda a big thing.
The room itself was not bad, definitely dated tho. It was just the right size for our family of 5.
I would not return.

We enjoyed ournsaty. The condo was great. View was amazing and envirment very comfortable. We had plenty to do in the area but were also comfortable staying and spending quiet time in the condo when needed. Would definately stay here again

This property was awesome the view was breathtaking lots of things to do .but the beds in the room were to soft for our liking so we slept on the Murphy bed which was perfect quite and cozy

Condo is beautiful and loved listening to the waves from the balcony. However, the tiny table on the balcony with the really tall chairs is worthless. The sofa bed was horrible. The beds in the bedroom were just as bad. The tiny table in front of the sofa bed was useless.
Strongly suggest replacing the beds and sofa bed, as well as the other chair in the living room and replace the tiny table in front of the sofa bed with either a bigger table or a large ottoman. Get rid of those rock hard beds or at least put memory foam on top of the mattresses. Balcony: get rid of the tiny, too short table.
There was NO PLACE to sit or sleep comfortably in the whole unit .

We were supposed to stay Fri-Monday. Hurricane Ian hit and not only was Myrtle under water but state of emergency for SC. We decided to be safe and head north (home). Contacted host to let them know. Asked if we could get a refund, partial even. They took a full day to get back to us and basically said no and that we should have purchased insurance. I asked if they could meet in the middle and offer a partial and of course the cleaning and linen fee because not only could we not get there but they couldn't rent it and those fees wouldn't be incurred. Maybe even a credit for a future stay? I wish I could cut and paste their answer but pretty much "sorry about your luck". Ironically the VRBO we stayed in prior to them actually proactively offered us a day refund since people were evacuating. They aren't willing to work with travelers. Would not recommend.

The room was decent. Had multiple light fixtures that didn’t work. Had issues getting the passcode for the garage to work each time we went in. We ended up leaving a day early due to a family emergency but overall it was ok

The listing said recently remodeled
1. The microwave had open rust spots inside and the lights didn't work.
2. The bathroom had nasty looking hair in and around the sink.
3. The listing says sleeps 8 hahaa. With one bath. They should change that to maybe 4.
4.the listing said they had put in a king size bed. Nope 2 were out fulls.
Needless to say checking in and out of this place was a disaster. I'm normal a very positive guy but this place made me fill dirty.

For a last minute short vacation, the property was fine. We wouldn't want to stay longer or with more people. The property description says it will sleep 8 but I don't see how unless everyone was very small. I wouldn't have wanted to try to cook in the kitchen. There were adequate dishes but it was smaller than my first college apartment kitchen and was lacking in some basics like a sponge or dishcloth. Good icemaker though and there were coffee filters. Unfortunately the sofa bed was stained and uncomfortable to sit on. The one other living room chair was ok. The beds were small doubles (one description said there was a king. Another said there were 2 queens). There was a very generic set of instructions with no mention of what the wrist bands were for (found out when security did a check at the pool). I do wish that VRBO or the property managers would advertise real pricing. This condo was advertised at 63 per night plus fees and taxes. We expected cleaning fees and taxes but with "host fees" we paid 3x the advertised price. All that said... we loved the balcony and stayed outside in the wonderful Adirondack style chairs whenever we were in the room. They were a great height. The view of the beach and ocean was perfect. We were able to watch a couple of great storms.

It took to long to get to your room. There were not enough carts to bring your things in. You told us to bring our own towels and we didn't have to bring any. No washer or dryer in room.

Pro’s: Liked condo; Property Manager was great to deal with, very responsive. Great view! Beach not overly congested, close to good restaurants. Cons: Did not like resort; Rental was clean for most part, however extra blankets in closet were dirty. Bathroom shelves were dirty with hair on them. Paying the additional amount of cleaning costs; rental should be cleaner. 1 set of towel pp for 7 days and then have to pay extra for additional, being on the beach taking additional showers; this should be reevaluated, 2 out of 3 elevators were broken down daily, parking deck gate did not work, pools were not cleaned so we didn’t swim in them.

Disappointing stay
Disappointed in the property. The unit itself was fairly clean but in need of some fixes/updates. There were marks and smudges on the walls. One crack where the paint is peeling. There was rust and cracks on the kitchen appliances. There was rust on the sliding door tracks, making them difficult to open and close. The property in general also needed some fixes. The parking garage was not secure, not sure why a code was provided. The building was never locked, again not sure why a code was provided. The common areas were not cleaned daily. As we walked thru the pool area, there was trash (beer & soda cans, bottles) left everywhere from the night before. In the indoor pool area as well. The pools were not clean. The water was cloudy and debris settled in the bottom. I realize we stayed over a weekend and paid a higher rate. But I definitely expected more for the cost.
