Spent 3 nights. Accommodated our family perfectly.

Good location. We found pool so cold. No tarp. To cover pool to keep in heat. Very hot upstairs with the hot weather.

Beautiful, peaceful, quiet, and spacious.

Large, clean, comfortable and very well appointed cabin! This is a great base for exploring the Shawnigan Lake area. Elina is a very communicative host and easy to reach. The pool is great for cooling off on a hot day and lots of fun for kids and adults alike. Many great places to explore in this region. We enjoyed having coffee and treats at Shawnigan House Coffee and Chocolate and Oma's bakery. Cobble Hill and Mill Bay also close by for shopping and exploring. Highly recommend the Merridale Cidery and R-harn Thai restaurant as well. When approaching the chalet for the first time, we suggest coming in from the south until you get the hang of the turn into the driveway. Highly recommend this cabin for families!

This lovely, well maintained property was a delight! It is exactly as described and has been well loved over the years. Linens were crisp and clean, kitchen was incredibly well stocked for our needs and the space was so welcoming. Peaceful, tranquil and private is what you can expect. Really a nice spot!

Great property, really clean, lots of space for everyone inside and outside the property and most all of what you need (just minor bits: I couldn’t find a mixing jug for my scrambled eggs or a hairdryer?). We had a fabulous time here and would recommend it to others. Might be back in the summertime. 😀

Well it started out rough. We booked it from the 4th until the 10th. A few minutes later we were messaged that the 10th wasn’t available and we would have to cancel and rebook until the 9th. Well the system wouldn’t let us. After numerous emails bud phone calls with the property owner we were verbally guaranteed the chalet. Overall it worked out but was a real pain at first.

The property was all that was promised and very quiet. We loved it.

Spacious and bright and clean and comfy with a beautiful view of the lake! Loved the wrap-around deck which allowed us to find sun at any time of day. Trans Canada Trail/Cowichan Valley trail runs right behind the house, ready for biking adventures! Kids especially loved the loft bedroom and the pool.
