The hotel is a small property that is very uderstated and elegant. It is very Austrian and the staff bends over backwards to accommodate you. We were quite happy to stay there and will certainly return.

This is a premier hotel and a must stay in Salzburg. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The price range is not for everyone but it reflects the high quality of the hotel. Easy walk to many sights and attractions in Salzburg.

I have stayed at the Goldener Hirsch for the past 30 years The hotel and its staff never fail. Charming and comfortable, it is located in the midst of an active tourist area but absolutely quiet inside and completely safe outside. The staff listen carefully and exceed every request. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Salzburg.

Absolutely exceptional stay at the Goldener Hirsch. Our room was beautiful, we received a complimentary upgrade and fresh fruit bowl, there was turn down service each night with chocolates and bottled water. The linens were divine. Every possible thoughtful touch was attended to within the room and the service provided. I think it spoiled us for every other hotel we will ever stay in!

The staff was amazing! The overall property was very nice! My only complaint was that we were in a small room across the main building and we were on the top floor. The windows were very small and below eye level. Otherwise, everything was on point!

This is an awesome hotel where attention is given to details. It's clean, quiet, and has a perfect location in the old town. Fresh fruit awaits you upon arrival. Chocolate is provided every evening with turn down service. I highly recommend this hotel.

A beautiful historical hotel in the heart of Old Town Salzburg, our stay was only one night but in absolutely top shelf accommodations & the breakfast was delicious. If we return to Salzburg, there is no doubt that we would stay here again!

Uniquely furnished restored old building in the heart of the old city. We did not like breakfast being a 35Euro/pp extra instead of being complimentary as it is at so many other hotels.

Beautiful property fantastic staff and lovely room with great facilities. We eat in the restaurant twice and the food was good. The location was perfect and there was no trouble parking the car at the hotel.

Tradition with a modern touch. Excellent service from arrival to departure all staff were amazing. We do travel a lot around the world and have been to many fantastic locations, but this hotel easily qualifies for us in the top 20.
The hotel just reopened after a long rebuild and I was impressed on how they kept traditional elements through and through but high-tech when it comes to the technical functionalities.
The room service was in exact in time as promised and the whole menu very delicious. You don’t get a better Wiener Schnitzel anywhere in town. All in all definitely 5 stars.

This historic hotel is in a great location in the old town of Salzburg. That being said, there are many other more reasonably price hotels that offer more to their customers and are close to town. Hotel accommodations and staff were fine, but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to friends, and wouldn’t stay again myself.

In the heart of old town with great shopping and cafes very close. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Even helped us make a doctors appointment for one of my children. My kids loved the turn down service at night. The breakfast is a wonderful experience. More than 5 stars here!

Perfect location and lovely rooms, but the staff make this place. Every single one of them was cheerful, friendly and helpful at all times. They even gave us tips on how to act like locals to avoid getting big heads of foam on our beers!!

Great hotel in the center of the Old Town. Easy access to attractions, restaurants and shopping. Also real the river that was a nice walking area. Staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and helpful. Hotel had lots of old world charm. It was clean with very comfortable bed and furnishings. Would return and highly recommend it.

My experience with the hotel was wonderful. I had never been there before but I loved all of it, from the decor to the service to the food to the location. I recommend it highly and I’m sad that it will not be open next year at this same time. I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. My only complaint is that my room was very hot but I solved that issue by opening the windows. This would not hold me back from going there again.

Great hotel both in terms of service and location. Very kind and willing to help. Great rooms! The only problem I had with the hotel is its breakfast buffet price - 33 euro per person is outargues.
