Clean and clean smelling room. Shower good and hot with good pressure. Only bad thing was wifi was terrible. Slow as hell. Very nice staff in office and the cleaning guy was super.

It was great for a low price hotel in Gatlinburg. It was close enough to walk downtown which was nice. Everything in the room was great. We really enjoyed our stay!

This property is located in a great spot. Watch for bears! The facilities are minimal. Fine for a brief stay.

Well, for the money I paid I’m requiring a refund. It was nasty horrible part of the leak in the ceiling in the bathroom. They knew all this and it was very unhealthy for my grandchildren. I had no money to go anywhere else and that was a lot of money to pay and I expect compensation ASAP from Hotels.com I have been bragging on y’all because if we’ve had problems in your past, always made sure it was fixed and returned to me so I’m not very happy camper and I do not wanna give you. This was disgustingly, horrible, and unsafe animals that were frequently coming around.

There was nothing I liked. Shower didn't work, unsafe area, room was not cleaned well, room had a terrible smell. Front desk guy looked like he had just worked outside all day. Granted the price was cheap, should have been cheaper. Would NOT RECOMMEND

We have been staying here for 37 years. Great location with everything in walking distance. Great staff!

Great folks who run the hotel and provide services. Room was nice but not the cleanest. Over all it’s a great little hotel snuggled in the heart of town. I will definitely stay in Mountain House again.

I can’t complain really given what I paid for but just be prepared and don’t go in expecting holiday inn accommodations this is an old and dated property. Would I book again at the price point absolutely because I am cheap!

Nice hotel.

It was good. Good beds great location. Check in and out was easy. Only 1 pool was available to swim in but was perfect because it had a kid pool.

After reading other reviews, I knew I was taking a gamble with the cleanliness. The beds are fairly comfortable and we slept well, which is great! That’s what’s most important. The location is also great. It’s just a short walk to the Village and the main strip. Let’s start at the beginning… We walked into the room and were immediately greeted with a musty, dank smell. The sheets and blankets were stained and I’m not sure that they were washed after the last people. There were hairs on the beds when we arrived, and on the far side bed there were stains that seemed to be from bodily fluids (I have pictures). Thankfully, we did not see any bedbugs while we were there. Under the beds there is an abundance of unvacuumed grime. Some of the lights worked, and some didn’t. While these issues were unpleasant, I didn’t want to take the risk of getting moved into a room that was worse off. Overall, the lack of cleanliness is enough to make me not stay there again. However, we left without any bug issues, so I call it a win on that front! The staff were friendly enough, and I have no personal issues with anybody involved with the motel. I’m not attempting to bash the motel with this review either. It had some pros, but the cleanliness was simply unacceptable. Sure, the rooms are outdated— that’s perfectly fine! What isn’t fine though is the lack of effort that went into cleaning the room we stayed in.

What a gem of a hotel in a wonderful location!. Our room was spotless and updated. The bathroom was clean with lots of space, good towels and a big counter top. Microwave, coffee maker and fridge was included. I will stay again.

Just one block from downtown shopping and entertainment

The property was conveniently located to the main area of Gatlinburg. The only complaint is the room wasn't clean & the bedding was stained. Everything was covered in a layer of dust &/or food residue.

The room was not clean and there was blood on a pillowcase.. I'll never stay here again.
