Very nice Hotel, good location. Friendly staff. At the restaurant they started already cleaning the restaurant even we still were sitting there. But food was very good. Traffic of the street you can hear it.

Great location and hotel service . The rooms are a bit small for a 5 star hotel and the bathrooms are old and small with the showers small and included in a small bath . Overall a good experience

The property is tired and certain rooms are extremely small and not practical. Located on a busy road and noisy. The staff and service is good.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The staff actually came out to our car to greet us and took our luggage directly to the room. We were welcomed very warmly. The staff all spoke perfect English, which I certainly don't expect when I travel abroad but it makes the stay much easier. We had a wonderful dinner and their restaurant that night and the second night we ate at a restaurant day recommended it was also excellent. We didn't lift a finger. The staff arranged for us to take a boat out on the lake, answered all of our questions, they really went above and beyond. We're going back next year and staying in the same hotel. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give them an 11!

Overall, we had a great stay. The hotel is showing its age and needs a good renovation soon. However, it didnt spoil our experience. The views from the hotel and the room make up for any drawbacks. The service was top notch and all staff was very attentive and made you feel special. We would stay again when in Stresa.

Location and decoration, a lovely hotel.

It's living off of its old glory and location. The view is spectacular but other than that, it doesn't have much to offer. The property is outdated and lacks 5 star luxury throughout. The staffs were not trained properly (most seemed very young, under trained seasonal employees with lack of hospitality experience.) Concierge was clueless and the general manager was rude and inconsistent. The pool is too cold to swim (in late August) so our young children could not enjoy the area at all. Rooms are tiny and extremely outdated and dark. There is nowhere to walk around the property (hotel offers very limited shuttle service to and from Stresa) and it's really dangerous to cross the street to the lake side (corner traffic but no mirrors or crosswalk to ensure safety). Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and surprising this is a part of LHW.

Stunning location and views. Attentive staff. Courtesy bus was a good feature as a hotel is bit out of town. Breakfast hot food offering could be expanded a little bit more but quality of the food overall was good.

A beautiful lake side hotel, charming rooms, excellent staff. Plenty to explore, Island boat tours and the lovely center of Stresa.

I reserved the Junior Suite with a Lake view. The location and the view was amazing however the room does not merit the price of Euro 940. There is no separate Toilet. The bathroom was tiny. The air conditioning is very old so it was very noisy - starting and stopping with green flourescent light that could not be switched off so we slept badly. The decor is very tacky as walls are painted in cheap murals. The swimming pool is a funny shape with cheap loungers and only one person working at the pool. Next time, i prefer to go to Des iles Borromees which is at least a Grande Hotel with beautiful architecture. As i said, view of Isola del piscatore and views were wonderful. But, this is not the best hotel in Lake Maggiore

Restaurant manager was somewhat rude to us when asked about dinner. Driver, reception very nice and helpful. Rooms have carpet, drapes, need renovation and upgrading. Bathroom was ok. View was amazing

Very friendly staff and palatial public areas Bedrooms are a little tired. Walking distance to Stresa is around 30 mins and is partly on a busy road. Hotel does provide a shuttle bus.

The view from the balcony - simply magnifique!!! Fantastic gardens, direct access to the lake. Large pool. Staff very friendly. Our dod was treated like a princess. Will come back for sure.

In a 5 Star Hotel I expect a Little more customer Service! For example a little welcome package for the guests. The pool area was not better than a 4 star or motel pool area and also the „private beach“ was really poor. No nice lights or cushions for the canvas chairs, just a little disappointing. The breakfast was okay but there could‘ve been more food options and also the waiters could ask if you want another coffee. All in all the stay was okay but I already had much better experiences in 5 star hotels.

They upgraded us to a room in the old/original section of the hotel. The room was not nice, extremely old with stained carpets and a sliding door that didn’t shut properly. The paint on the front door had not even been finished! We just wanted what we had paid for but the hotel staff are extremely rude and not at all accommodating. Hotels.com were even worse and as Gold Members we thought they would help us but they said the hotel did everything they could. We provided over a dozen photographs and they ignored all our evidence and decided in favour of the hotel.
