The Lodge looked tired and short of a coat of paint.

Dirty and disgusting

rooms was nice but the halls was like out the shining, breakfast was awful, don’t book if you want to be feed in the morning, it toast and cereal and the butter and jam had been mixed, probably because of the lack of cutlery

Terrible, can’t say much more. Rooms run down, bathroom dirty and metal fittings rusty. Housekeeping was well below par, bedding not particularly clean. The shower was either very hot or scalding, no real ability to adjust. Breakfast was in an upstairs day room, continental buffet, kettle, microwave, no staff just make your own. The place was originally a nursing home that was inspected in 2011 and deemed unsatisfactory. It would appear it later closed down and is now this hotel, but doesn’t look as though any alterations have been carried out to convert it to a hotel, in fact, the nursing alarms are still on the corridor walls. The ambiance of the hotel felt more like a half way house for recovering drug users. I would avoid this place at all costs, don’t even consider booking a room here, you will regret it. I now it’s cheap but we’ve had some good rooms in low cost hotels, if there was a Travelodge near by we would have used that but we had to location specific as we where helping our son move into his new property. It not as though we have never been before to Cambridge itself as our son has lived here for the past eight years. We’ve stayed in other accommodations in Cambridge and never had any issues. If you do decide to stay, may I suggest at least a bottle of wine before you retire as this will help dull your regrets.

The location was ok. No tea making facilities, no shampoo, scruffy room, sagging curtains, broken fittings. Warm welcome, easy to park, taxi arrived on time.

There were cans and bottles left in the room, the toilet seat was broken and squashed flies were smeared on the ceiling. The bathroom was so small I had to set sideways on the toilet (I am only 5’ 4”). I could not identify most of the items on the breakfast buffet so just had toast. The only advantages were that the (one) towel and bed linen were clean and the water in the bathroom was hot.

The staff were very accommodating, the breakfast food was lovely, and you could get a private room for such a low price

The property was very aged. The net curtains were ripped and the window would not close. There were two beds one the mattress sagged the other was ok. There was blood on one of the duvets. This was not a cheap room . The contenental breakfast was yougart, toast. Garlic sausage and salad bits. There was cold baked beans. We definately not be returning. There was no tea coffe facilities in room and told could help self anyti.e but no mugs available. The dinning room was not very clean.

You get what you pay for

Signs easy to follow. Parking on site, quiet at night. Private bathrooms, towel, clean everywhere. Free self service kitchen, all kind of food for breakfast. Hot drinks and i actually could take a good night during my business trip!

This hotel is an absolute disgrace, it is in a terrible run down neglected state. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

It was basic,perfect for a sleep over and price was okish.

Great value budget accommodation with breakfast included. Can't go wrong at the price, especially for Cambridge

The bed is squeaky and mattress was very comfy. I hope they will have a better breakfast. I stayed for a month it’s the same old stuff they served.

you really get what you pay for. this is a no-frills accommodation with a level of comfort equal to the amount paid. the mattress was not to my liking. it has seen much better days. another observation was the windows on the lower floor had no security features

Checked in quickly. I was able to use a hairdryer that I'd forgotten to pack. Clean and comfortable room. Nice breakfast.

Basic but very friendly and helpful, everything you need and more. Free serve yourself breakfast from wide, healthy range provided, with kettles toasters, fridge and microwave available for use. Teas/coffee can be made any time. Iron and hair dryer available to borrow. Ample free parking. Very well located for Papworth and Addenbrookes. Excellent eateries nearby. Excellent value.

It was supposed to be a deluxe room . I would hate to think what the other rooms were like. No facilities at the lodge.Breakfast included consisted of two loaves of bread and a toaster. Absolute rubbish place to stay . More like a hostel . Paid for two nights stayed one as could not face staying another night.

Very cheap but just lacked small things like hand towel and shower gel/shampoo. Also a shelf in shower, no where to put soap. Room door was stiff making it difficult to get in and out.

Their cleanliness is top notch. The lodge is very conducive compare to the price.

Stayed here for work and upon checkin the phone numbers did not work and the rooms were quite dirty. Looked under the mattresses and found some dreaded bed bugs. Expedia helped us find a replacement hotel but this spot would not give us a refund and had no one we could even talk to. After supplying them with images of the bed bugs they said we made it up and this is another hotel yet the geo info shows very clearly this is their hotel yet they still would not with with us. I would stay away from this spot and find something different at all costs.

It was very basic was more like a hostel than a hotel. Continental breakfast consisted of cereal and a slice of toast that you had to help yourself to.

Okay for a night clean

Friendly enough receptionist but room tired, cobwebs and dirty bathroom. The bedding was clean.
