I had a lovely stay at the Sun Inn. It was very beautiful and cosy. I loved the atmosphere. It was nice and quiet and the bathroom facilities were very clean and spacious.

Nice country old fashioned pub with modern rooms and nice food. Very good value for money. Would highly recommend both the pub and the accommodation. Will stay again.

Negatives: Cobwebs all over the ceilings in room and bathroom. Bathroom seen better days, very worn/mouldy stains. No heating, at least not functioning. Beds rock hard and bedding torn. Breakfast options mediocre. Pub stopped serving food quite early in the evening and didn’t always offer everything that was on the menu.
Positives: good size room/bathroom. Nice with the adjacent pub. Big garden and parking lot. Bus stop nearby (3 min walk). Friendly staff.

We came across this by accident, staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Nice large room with plenty of space. Everything was on hand with a fabulous breakfast. Would definitely stay here again. The only criticism is the bathroom could do with being refreshed. For the price it really was exceptional ! We are only sorry we didn’t have time to have a meal in the pub.

The amazing service and friendly, welcoming staff made a great impression. We turned up late and missed last orders for food; however, they were incredibly accommodating, providing us with cutlery and plates so we could order in. The room was great, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable night's stay. I would definitely consider this hotel for another visit.

Fabulous room with great attention to detail. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant which was good and the breakfast that was included was great. Definitely stay their again if in the area

This was a budget stay on a trip back from airport. It was cheap and Ines expectations were limited. The disappointing thing is that it could so easily have been good but the general maintenance and cleanliness of the property is very poor. In the bedroom there was black spot mould on the en-suite ceiling; the shower door/ seal was mouldy; the shower control was very badly worn and hard to use; the toilet was dirty under the waterline and the mattress was beyond its best with springs very evident.
The outside areas were at best grubby with rotten fencing and a feel of unkempt decline.
Inside the pub it just felt grubby.
A potentially very nice set up with very helpful staff is clearly badly managed and is lacking maintenance input from the owners.

Arrived around 4:30 after going to the Shopping Outlet. Check in smooth and quick with good directions to room.
Room very clean and comfortable with first class tea and coffee facilities.
Great bathroom with super shower and extras.
To top it off an amazing breakfast.
For the price an excellent stay and will be staying again. Thanks

A very comfortable, peaceful nights sleep in a large bed in a spacious room. It had everything we needed.

It was the 1st time we have stayed here and if we were taking this route again we would definitely stay here again. The room was pleasant and and clean witj a comfortable bed. We didn't eat in the restaurant but the breakfast which was included in the price was very good. no fruit or croissants etc, but traditional English. It was also convenient for the motorway. Only minor complaints the tiles in the shower the grout was mouldy., why is this such a common problem? The stairs to the room the handrail etc could do with a cost.of paint and the area outside the fencing to the restaurant was overgrown and needed attention. Hoe6, generally good and good value for money.

Good english breakfast but no continental style option, not a problem for us but worth noting if that's your preference Rooms are in a block at the back of the main property and are clean, quiet and functional. Hotel is dog friendly and has a play area for children along with a good car park.

The welcome to The Sun Inn was not good. Swearing staff, long wait, very awkward atmosphere. But the room was nice and the bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. Tea,coffee,biscuits,shampoos etc. This was a great value place to stay and apart from the tv being too small it was all good!

We stayed here en route to bath and was delighted with our room that included a good English breakfast,rooms nice and large with ample towels,tea coffee and all your usual needs,even though it’s near the main road we had windows open and never heard a peep.Hotel has a great bathroom too with a nice large shower

Room was lovely, powerful shower. We had an evening meal which was also very good. The breakfast was excellent. The pub backs on to Coate Water park which you can access from the bottom of the carpark. We had a lovely walk around the lake after our evening meal.

Big room, clean, quiet, big bathroom and there are both a bathtub and a modern shower. Shower gel and bath gel were individually wrapped
Heated floor in the bathroom with roof windows
Many kinds of tea and coffee
Iron and ironing board
Two nice windows full of air circulation
Lovely balcony
Breakfast was amazing with fresh meat and egg and seasoned mushrooms…big solar roof in the breakfast room that gives lights to the room
Parking was huge and easy to park
The least expensive and the best place to stay in the UK among my last 10 hotels. I had paid triple for another inn the night before and got not even half of what they offer at the Sun inn
