I flew into Orange County (John Wayne) Airport to attend my 50th High School Reunion. I picked Hampton due to it's proximity to the airport, its airport shuttle service, and reasonable price. I really enjoyed my stay. This hotel feels like it's brand new. Contemporary styling and young staff. The room was a bit small but it had everything. I enjoyed the feature of a single barn door that serves both the closet and bathroom. The room was quiet and the bed was perfect, not too soft or hard. Breakfast was better than most places. A meat (bacon and two types of sausage), eggs (scrambled or omelet), and potatoes were carried each day. They also had waffles, toast, cereals, fruit, and yogurt. Complement to the chief and wait staff. The location is also within walking distance to several restaurants including El Toritto which has great margaritas and daily happy hour.

I picked the Hampton Inn because it was close to Orange County Airport, also close to a restaurant where I was attending an event. The hotel is very clean and modern with absolutely minimalist décor. The king bed was very comfortable, and the room was quiet. It was very hot weather, and the AC worked great. The breakfast was OK. The worst thing about my stay was the airport shuttle; I waited about 45 minutes at the airport and finally called the hotel. I learned that you had to make a specific request for the shuttle. Nowhere in the reservation materials was that disclosed!! Two other issues that could be improved: (1) The walk-in shower had a treacherously slippery floor, and no nonslip bathmat was provided. I had to put one of the towels on the shower floor to create a kind of nonslip surface. (2) There was no safe in the room in which to leave valuables.

The representatives provided poor service.

We stayed here for 3 nights for my 50th birthday celebration in Newport Beach. Great location to meet up with my friends and close to places to eat. The staff are super friendly from the moment you walk in. Our room was super clean & the entire bldg was very well maintained. I always see someone cleaning making sure the walkways were clean. Their hot breakfast were probably the best Ive had in a while. The selections were great & perfect for family with kids. They even have almond milk as option for oatmeal & miso soup available. And the fact that they had rice cooker made my son the happiest! The dining area was well kept we even got to hung out on our last night and enjoyed wine with my friends & family. If youre looking for a great & comfortable stay in the area, I highly recommend this location. You wont be disappointed!

Hotel is clean friendly and parking was great! Only issue was we booked for a 2 bed and was givin a 1 bed staff made change bit said its hotels.com who causes that issue

Great location for Disneyland.

The hotel was very clean, friendly staff, best breakfast I've had so far. The room was comfortable and updated. Water was hot. My only concern was the empty GasX box and stuff animal left on the bed. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was super low. I was a little confused only because the stuff animal was not new! My stay was great! I would definitely be back.

We found several ants in the bathroom almost every nights that we stayed. Also in suburbs where there are extra spaces, they still charge extra parking fee about $30/night.... not a good service at all.

morning. The sofa bed was terrible, and my daughter complained of back pain. The next day, around noon, instead of moving us back to our original room, the front desk put us in a room on the third floor. I specifically asked them to ensure there were no ants. We dropped our bags and went out, but when we returned around 9:30 pm,we found many ants in the bathroom. We immediately called the front desk again. They said they would move us to a different room and offered another night of complimentary parking but said they couldn't do much else. They admitted that some rooms have ants and are usually put out of service. They moved us to the fourth floor. This was highly inconvenient, as we had to change rooms four times in two days, which is unacceptable. I'm not sure if the front desk was irritated with our complaints, but when she gave us the key card, it didn't work. I had to ask my daughter's boyfriend to go back down. When he arrived, she admitted she knew the key card wouldn't work. This hotel likely has an ant infestation, which poses health hazards. Management should address this issue immediately. This morning, ants in the AC window area.

Parking lot is not big enough for all the people

Iesha was nice and attentive! She checked us in quick. She helped us with a wine opener two clean wine glasses From the bar. She also reached out to house keeping for 2 extra pillows

Booked a 2 bed room; ended up with 1-bed room only as “ the system” was wrong… quite questionable. Who’s fault? Customers, always. Ended up sleeping on that short couch which I didn’t sleep at all. Parking fee $28

They offer a shuttle service but it’s not available after 10 PM (other hotels have done it before, even sending an Uber when shuttle not available) they did not provide it so I must pay a Lift car.

Excellent hotel at very convenient location. Walking distance to various dining options. Super clean and comfortable throughout the property. Hotel staff are very friendly and professional.

As a disabled person, I never pay for parking. Only on this hotel I have to pay $28 per night. I have talked to the manager to get free parking but he refused. Also the breakfast was not good. Never stay at that place again.

Loved how the hotel was accommodating to our pets!! Perfect place for a business trip.

It is a nice hotel in a great location. It is easy to drive anywhere in Irvine or the Los Angeles area. The room is super clean. Most of the staff we met were very friendly and professional. Will definitely recommend it to others!
