The loft is as pictured and overall we enjoyed our stay in the unit. The location was the real bummer for us. It was adjacent to Water street which is a charming great area of Gas Town. However, just a few steps away was a very concerning street - Hastings. There was a large group of homeless individuals along Hastings and we actually saw people doing drugs (Injectables, etc) in broad daylight. There are definitely routes you can take to be safe. Overall, with my infant and parents, they didn't feel safe. I would say, if it were just me and my husband we would've felt fine. At night the area does get loud, granted it was St Patty's weekend, but you can hear everything going on in front of the bar downstairs. Again, overall the loft is as pictured and the host was very responsive and helpful. We just did not love the location.

This loft condo was perfect for our needs and situated within easy walking distance of Chinatown, downtown, and Gastown. We loved the place, though it did get a bit loud after the Canucks won a place in the play-offs!

Mom with two teen boys stayed the weekend. Perfect location to walk everywhere. It does get loud at night on weekends but the hosts provide soothing sound machines. Close to some of Vancouver’s best shops and restaurants. I would stay again.

The Gastown loft worked well for our family of 5 whilst in Vancouver. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go from the location. The apartment was clean, spacious and well appointed. Turning right when exiting apartment takes you to the Gastown strip which we loved, turning left provides an in-your-face experience of the openly drug using homeless. We were aware of the problem before arriving, but probably worse than expected. If you’re sensitive, then the location is not for you. We had no issues with the homeless, in fact one man with all his gear out on the door step was quite apologetic when I asked him to mind out with us coming through. We definitely had no regrets staying there and our teenage kids said they really enjoyed it.

My spouse and I opted to stay here for a few days towards the end of our anniversary trip. I'm glad we did. The property itself was incredibly unique in both decor and layout — the ability to turn the upstairs loft into its own separate, closed off room was a nice touch. The WiFi was decent, and the fans/air conditioning worked perfectly. The location was also excellent, situated above one of the best pubs I've ever visited and across the street from an incredible bakery/café. Try the potato soup at the former and the pierogies at the latter. You won't regret doing so. As for the hosts, they were very accommodating, allowing us to check in a bit early and responding promptly whenever we had concerns. On that note, we really only had two problems with our stay — both almost negligible. First, I was a little disappointed that the Ethernet ports upstairs didn't work, but I assume that's something that will be addressed through further renovation. Getting our bags into the suite was also a bit of a challenge, as the stairs leading up are relatively steep. That's more on us for packing too much, though. Like I said, negligible and hardly enough to put a damper on things. The two of us immensely enjoyed our stay, and are already making plans to return in the summer.

10/10. Clean, surprisingly quiet for being above a bar/venue/club. Only place I will stay while in BC

Really great place! I was a little worried about unloading and parking, but it was so easy. Lots of space out front to pull in and unload and secure parking lots so close (just a 5 minute walk). The place is so nice. It looks better than the pictures. Really beautiful master suite with sun tunnel that can be private or open to downstairs. Plenty of room for my 4 kids downstairs and a big TV to occupy their evenings. Nothing is fragile, so I wasn't worried about them messing anything up...and they were so nervous walking up and down the staircase that I knew noone would play on them anyways. And they loved the street view from the many windows. They had everything we needed, very well stocked. Also, there's a convenience store right across the street for any small groceries we needed. Really great stay - my kids wanted to move in, lol. Thanks for everything!!

It was such a good location, in walking distance to a lot of different areas. It was clean and such a cool building.

We were really happy in the apartment. It was nicely decorated and had everything necessary, even supplements for washing machine and dryer. Location was very centrally in a dead end street and even though there are lots of homeless people we always felt safe.

Great unique loft in the heart of Gastown. The host were great as they made sure everything was ready and comfortable for our stay. Location is situated next to many great shops and restaurants though there are a lot of homeless within 1-2 blocks. Didn't feel unsafe but it's worth mentioning. Parking can get really expensive in this area.

Place was well set up and had everything we needed. Excellent communication with property manager. Easy walk to Harbour front and lots of good restaurants nearby. Lots of homeless in area but never felt unsafe.

The hosts were diligent in checking in and making sure everything was comfortable. The condo was very comfortable and had a unique layout. Would stay again.

The property had everything we needed. We had great communication from the owners. It is close to several trendy restaurants and a short walk to the water. We will definitely stay again.

My adult son and I had a great visit to Vancouver. The property was perfect for our stay. Located next door to restaurants, shops of Blood Alley/Water St. Ubers readily available. Only downside was proximity (1-2 blks) from a sizeable homeless population. At no time did we feel unsafe, though. We had a blast here and would recommend it for adults taking in the sights, food and drinks!

Clean place and a great location. The evenings could get a little noisy but the bedroom upstairs is quite soundproof. Loved the vibe of the place and its close proximity to everything!

Would stay here again for sure. Super clean, incredible architecture and a great location in gas town. The two beds are very comfortable, the fold out futon is a little small for two adults but was just fine for us. Split between six people, this place is a great deal.
