Idyllic rural setting, for walking, cycling, horse riding or like us, motorcycling. Lovely home and gardens. Hostess provided excellent breakfast and home comforts. Very pleasant riverside pub 5 minutes walk away which does really nice food and drink. We found this location ideal for exploring exmoor and surrounding areas. First rate.

Perfect position, lovely host and comfortable surroundings. Just what we were looking for.

I would certainly recommend Monks Cleeve . Hospitality and accommodation was above expectation and the breakfast was the best we have had for a long time . Excellent !!!!

Only issue was we were able to clearly hear occupant in next room to us snoring quite loudly. Unfortunately this disturbed our sleep.

Found it strange that room’s couldn’t be locked from outside when out.

Tessa accepted our horses and dog, and was friendly and chatty.

Rather expensive, but we are not used to paying, so probably fair.

Well located for access to Exmoor attractions. The room was comfortable.

Although the breakfast was nice the ordering was muddled at times. There was no internet connection during our stay. We were not offered use any other facilities at the house, ie lounge or outdoor facilities.
