Let me start by saying the city of New Smyrna Beach had an 18-hour power outage due to equipment failure during my stay, so that really soured my experience. Overall, the property was clean, and it's a great location. I appreciated the coded door lock - I didn't have to keep track of a key while I was on the beach. We had trouble checking in because of another power outage prior to check-in which knocked out the WiFi router and reset the door code. I called the local management company, and they were very helpful. They reset the code remotely. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean. I think they need heavier curtains on the windows for the sea turtles. The beds were awful - not supportive at all. It felt like I was getting into a hammock when I laid down (I was in the guest bedroom, but the master was the same). Also, when I stripped the bed at the end of my stay, I noticed the mattress protector was very dirty, and I noticed a half-smoked cigarette under the bed! The other issue is that it had a teensy-tiny washing machine. There was a note saying it could only handle a half-load, and please don't put towels in there. Fortunately, I had the option of washing towels elsewhere. I think that would be a deal-breaker if you had a family or were traveling a long way, because you need to wash a lot of towels when you're staying at the beach. It's a nice complex, but the unit needs to be cleaned a little more thoroughly.

Overall a nice apartment and very convenient location. However, there was never any mention that this was a two story apt nor two flights of stairs to reach apt as I am recovering from knee surgery and was totally taken by surprise. The apt was clean with the exception of rugs on stairs and bedrooms which were quite dirty with stains throughout. Bathroom rugs were also noticeably soiled. Screen door was broken and unable to close. Management was made aware of these flaws during our stay.

This place was horrible. First, it is a 2 story unit with 1 bathroom upstairs and 1 downstairs. You have to climb 2 flights of stairs to get to the unit and no elevators. I immediately sent pictures to the rental manager to let them know the carpet was filthy dirty with large stains everywhere. They offered to clean the carpet but this was my vacation that would get interrupted. The black mold in the bathroom needed to be removed with a putty knife. They did send someone to clean the bathrooms and they did a nice job. The AC was so loud it made it hard to sleep. All the appliances were so old and outdated that they squealed and moaned. The master bedroom closet was filled with 2 old console tv's that took up all the room so you had to keep your luggage in the room. Screen door was broken and the parts were on the counter....They had been there since July. The door could not be shut and was falling off the hinges. I requested it to be fixed but no response. This unit is old and needs to be updated. I would be happy to show you the pictures. Don't waste your money on this unit.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ocean Club North Condo. It had everything we needed in the kitchen, towels, beach chairs, comfortable furniture and bed, plus a washer and dryer in the unit! Carpet in the upstairs is a bit tired though. The complex was well maintained. There were plenty of places to sit near the pool or near the ocean and lots of friendly people. The beach is great for walking or there is a nice sidewalk on the roadside. This was our first time in NSB and we enjoyed our time there.

We loved this condo. It had all the things we needed for our stay and more! We loved sitting on the balcony and watching/listening to the waves crash. The area was quiet but close to everything.
