This felt like a stay at Grandma's. The house was comfortable with plenty of charm and a place for everyone to hang out.

This property is an excellent location. Travel time to Mt. Rushmore, Sturgis, and Deadwood was within 30 minutes. The owner, C. A. Piper, responded to messages promptly. If you are looking for a family oriented location this is your stop. It has focus on how families spent time with each other. Board games, pool table, and movie watching. Looking to get back quality time with the family this is the place.

This property was absolutely perfect for our stay. Location to main attractions was perfect and yet far enough away to slow down. Very clean home, with fenced in patio which was nice for our toddler! Beautifully kept lawn in a nice neighborhood!

The home was as advertised, plenty of room for 5 adults and 3 littles. The informal dining area was a little tight, but we didn’t want the small kids eating on the carpet in the larger formal dining area. Lots of supplies in the kitchen. Very thankful for access to laundry! Nice patio in the back. Close to lots of fun things to do 😀.

The house has lots of combinations of rooms so was versatile for our multi family stay. The extra two twins in the basement were a nice surprise too.
The house had lots of conveniences that made it feel cozy (ziplocks, laundry soap, and shower soap, paper towels etc)
The furniture and decor is definitely from the past but cozy and clean so it worked. Multiple rooms to gather and hang out. We would stay again.
The host was awesome! Very responsive and flexible.
The only comment for the host was the upstairs tub is very slippery getting in And out.

A wonderful property with everything we wanted, centrally located to all the sites in the Black Hills. Lots of room for all of us. We were most impressed with the cleanliness!

This was a great home base to visit all the national parks in the area. The quiet neighborhood was so relaxing. The beds were comfortable. The house was big enough that even with 7 of us in it everyone could find their own space to relax. We would definitely stay here again.

The property was perfect for our family visit. The unit was clean and beautiful. We found the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. We visited family locally but also were able to have some quality down time. Highly recommend for a family visit. Appreciated that the host set up the gas grill and there was patio furniture available.

We had an amazing stay! Plenty of bathroom space, wonderful set up for 2 sets of parents and 6 kids! There are even 2 more beds in the basement! The laundry area in the basement was efficient and a blessing! We loved the decor and the high quality carpeting, etc. So many little details that made it a special place to stay! Thank you so much!

A very large house. 1 full bath, 1 3/4 bath and a half bath. We had 7 adults and 1 7 year child and plenty of room and convenience to whatever you wanted or wanted to do. The response time to any questions was rapid. We really enjoyed the house and an awesome neighborhood

My family and I really enjoyed our recent trip to Rapid City. The house was very well kept and beautiful. The communication and check in/out process with the owner was seamless and very easy!!!!

We stayed at this fantastic place for a cousins reunion. From comfortable bedrooms, a cozy library, spacious dining room, to a terrific outdoor space this house has it all! This was the perfect place for us to gather.
Our host provided timely information-filled messages making this a pleasant and secure experience.

Very nice, well kept, property. Perfect size for us. Three bathrooms with nine people cannot be beat. Everyone who wanted their own room got their own room. Just like staying at Grandma's (except we had to do the cooking).

Nice home with at least 5 bedrooms. Everything worked. Plenty of dishes and utensils. Friendly people. food and condiments left by others was a nice touch. Beds comfortable.

Comfortable. Needed to remove Glade plugins, due to sensitivity. Once that dissipated, it was much better. That was the reason for the 4 on cleanliness. Host was very responsive to concerns.

Best property of our trip. Other reviewers have mentioned the dated nature of the decor, but that didn't bother us at all. The place was very clean, very well maintained, and was stocked with kitchen supplies and linens to support the listed number of occupants. The property was on a quiet street next to a golf course, and it was easy to get where we need to be. I would stay there again.

I give it top ratings for cleanliness. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The only complaint I heard was that the air conditioning could barely keep up in the upstairs. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend it to others.

My band, all of whom are from Chicago, came out to Hills for a weeks worth of shows. The house was very clean, comfortable, and charming, the owners responded within minutes, and the quiet location next to the golf course was perfect for musicians who were sleeping in until 9 or 10am. I already have the owners' info saved for the next group of musicians I bring in. I highly recommend this property.
p.s. - the patio was a GREAT hang, and the neighbors were all very nice.

Quiet neighborhood, zero traffic, nice sidewalks for walking, and near a golf course. This cared-for and well-appointed house has many furnishings that are original to the house, but don’t let that stop you. We had 5 people stay and everyone had their own room and there were more beds unused.
Its a really nice house for a large family or multiple generations. Wonderful owners.

Great location, less than 30 minutes to Mt. Rushmore. Beds are very comfortable, high hotel quality sheets and beddings. Very friendly and perfect communication with the host.
The house overall clean and tidy. Loved the victorian decoration throughout the house. Definitely will be back again.

Great location, easy access to all attractions & restaurants in the area. We did cook breakfast & some dinners on the grill. Owners are amazing to communicate with and home is well stocked with essentials. Truly enjoyed our stay with our friends at this home!

Home was in a perfect area for tournament and had plenty of space for the family. Home needs to be decluttered to give a little more space and look inviting. It served its purpose. It would have been nice to use the garage, but too much stuff in there and eventually locked for no access.

We were amazed how easy it was to find. We felt secure and safe in the cul-de-sac. Our favorite was being 5 minutes from a water park and Storybook Island. My son loved being taught how to play pool from his dad. A great place to make memories. The kids also enjoyed the bunk beds. The same as home and they felt like they were home. My personal favorite, having my cup of coffee in silence to help get me going for the rest of the day. Less than 15 minutes to Reptile Garden and less than 25 minutes to Mount Rushmore. The host was available whenever we needed. The space air conditioners helped as needed

Enjoyed our stay in this large house in a quiet neighborhood. Grandpa downstairs in the rest of us upstairs. Very clean and plenty of linens in the bathroom and bedrooms. Although I didn’t have access to the garage, There is a covered, secure area between the house and garage, room for my bike.
Checking in and checking out was very easy. I would definitely stay here again with my family

Very clean... Multi room large house, full kitchen with a pool table in the basement. Taught my 13-year-old girl to play over our stay, very fun. All the convenance of a city of 80k people and quick access to all the site-seeing. Really enjoyed our trip!

The home is close to Mt. Rushmore and other attractions. 1hr to Badlands. Located in quiet neighborhood with a nice back patio. Upon entering the house we felt like we have traveled to Grandmas house from the red carpet to victorian furnishings. The home had enough bedrooms for my family of 7 to sleep comfortably. Portable A.C units and fans keep the rooms cool. The pool table in the basement was a huge plus, even if it was a little musty down there. Owner was quick to respond and help as needed. We would stay again if traveling to the area.
