The people at the front were extremely nice and helpful. The second we walked in our room we said "Wow" it was perfect. Nicely decorated, definite "beachy" feel. We did upgrade to ocean view. Very worth it. Wish we could have stayed longer but next time we're there, we will be staying at Cottage Inn By The Sea.

We were only there one night in Mid October. The room was nice with a fire place. It was clean and the bed comfortable. Very large room with a TV and the water pressure from the shower was amazing. There is no ventilation or exhaust fan in the bathroom so you could see that the ceiling had mold that they have been dealing with due to condensation, the top lock to the back door was broken, and you could see where the dead bolt had been broken before, but it locked ok. If I had been a alone I would have requested a different room. Concerning the amenities, one of the fire pits did not work at all, the gates to the hot tub and pool were broken and the no keys would work so they had strings hanging to open them. Parts of the hot tub ledge and tiles were cracked and missing, and the jets did not work at all. The heated pool was barely heated if at all. The hotel is older and the roofs have been replaced with shingles that look horrible and do not match the architecturaldesign of the building, but there were no leaks that I could tell. The grounds were beautiful and the views amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful if I had any questions, and the property was very clean. I paid less that 150 for the night so for the location and everything, it was a good deal for a last minute room.

Quick overnight trip. The gentleman at the front desk was very welcoming. Stayed ocean front and it was gorgeous. Crowd outside our room in chairs was loud until after midnight, otherwise great stay.

Rooms dont have AC but it was fun. I believe ppl who get rooms on the second floor should be considerably respect that theres ppl one the first floor and should not let their kids run. Kids didnt let us sleep since they were running back and forth. Other than that everything was perfect

Well my eye got swollen from that night I had to open the window. The dust must have been my eye because of it now I have to see doctors to see what it might have been

Check in and check out was easy and quick. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Especially like that, it had a two king bed option and after I call to the hotel, the front desk saved us a convenient room on the first floor, which made it easy to move our luggage and not have to climb the stairs. The only thing that needed attention was the bathroom. The sink area had been renovated, but the toilet and the shower are very old. The toilet is low like in an elementary school and was especially bothersome when my husband sat! The shower had good water pressure, but it did not have a handheld option and it smelled like mildew especially when the water was turned on and the ceiling did show some spots of mildew in the paint.
We didn’t get to use the pool or spend any time by the beach, unfortunately. It has a very pretty view from the pool. We did not rent a room that had a view as we didn’t have time to use it while in town for a wedding and a need to rush back to the airport.

didn’t see this until after I booked a non- refundable room- it is not air conditioned - my family said it was fine but we couldn’t open the windows because our room faced the road.

Beautiful location. Our room wasn’t very clean, mold in our shower and very dusty. No AC. Also there was a tree frog in our room that chirped all night making sleep difficult!

This experience was way above any other hotel experience I've had before. The parking was the only main issue that wasn't the best. We had to compete with police and fire departments for parking spaces, even had to park in the hotel next to this one.

No AC in this property. So we didn’t stay the night. It’s says they have a restaurant but it was open when we got there. The pool and hot tub was marked closed as well.

The staff were friendly and helpful, telling us about places we could eat in the area and things we could do! The room was spacious and clean. I wasn't really a fan of the barn door to the bathroom, as it felt like it offered extremely little privacy. Parking was a little crowded, but we had no trouble finding a spot beyond the check in area. My only real complaint about this hotel is the fact that the breakfast is not free, it's actually quite expensive.

Cottage inn beautiful location allowed me to work right outside of my room with an amazing Ocean View. I love the room everyone on staff was extremely friendly and accommodating looking forward to coming back in a few months !

This visit our room was next to the laundry room and it was pretty loud early in the morning. Wouldn’t probably stay in that section again, also the hot tub was broken for our stay. They did however give us access to another hotel up the street.

Left the valleys triple digit weather to enjoy the 70’s temperatures at Pismo. Checked in at lobby and we were met with friendly, courteous staff member’s. We got our room but our tv volume was not working and the staff comped us another room. Over all we enjoyed our stay for 4 days. Will book again in the near future!

One of the easiest check in, clean and a great location.

Great location. The pier is a short 20 min walk. Great view of the ocean. The walls are thin and you can hear neighbors and people upstairs but it wasn’t going into late night.
Staff is wonderful. Would def stay again.
