Generally speaking very good. The things that spoiled it for me was the noise of the private parties, both on the Friday and Saturday nights. Added to the fact that a constant stream of party guests traipsing through the bar to go outside to smoke and huddled together because of inclement weather the doors stayed open, letting the wind and rain blow through the bar. It made having a quiet drink uncomfortable, I ended up retiring early to be comfortable. I appreciate parties are necessary for income but some arrangements could be made for the smokers to be away from the doors to the bar.

The Reception staff were extremely helpful when I arrived at changing the room for my elderly mother who could not walk up the stairs. Very kind ladies – particularly the head housekeeper whose name I can’t remember – I think she was Polish.

Sadly snacks in restaurant were not very good. Duck rolls, crispy outside and mushy tasteless filling.
Cooked holumi (sorry for spelling) overcooked ,chewy and tasteless.
However next day ordered cheese board---excellent , wonderful crackers and chutney, interesting four cheeses as advertised as five ! But lovely presentation. All reception staff were excellent.

I've stayed here a few times & the staff are always pleasant , the food is good & if the sun is shining its lovely to sit out in the garden! We'll be back next year for our annual golf trip to Wells.

Property is clean and well maintained. Had trouble with room cleaning as we expected automatic daily room cleaning. We did not put the room cleaning sign out, so 1st no cleaning. The restaurant is good food, but extremely overpriced for the location for hotel guests. Staff did recommend other pubs in the area which are far better and reasonably price.

Our room was lovely, very spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well stocked. It was very quiet at night too, no banging doors, although not sure if it was because the hotel itself was quiet. The only negative was that the room was incredibly hot at night. We had to have the windows open quite wide overnight.

From arrival to departure all services were of a good to high standard. Visiting family in the immediate area, we as a couple decided to meet, have drinks and a meal at the hotel. On arrival checkin was straight forward, with key card and details all ready. Our room choice wasn't the cheapest available, we went for the deluxe room and found it exceeded our expectations on size and cleanliness. Bar drinks, restaurant food, good choices of both with no complaints on service or standards. Morning checkout no problems. Will definitely use again with the same choices of room 235.

A wonderful stay for the weekend in the spectacular Leona Suite. A perfect stay and we couldn't of asked for more. the hotel is ok but in need of some repairs, buckets of water around the halls, catching the leaking roof water. Not very becoming. Booked a suite, scale in the bath, cobwebs in the corners, light bulbs out.

Stayed for business, didn’t have dinner at the hotel. The hotel is a bit dated but clean and comfy enough. Good selection of tea/coffee in the rooms. The shower is good and has loads of settings. The breakfast is made to order and was nice enough
